The oldest preserved texts in Icelandic were written around 1100 AD and we still can read it... It has changed through the centuries ("modernized") but this is still closest of modern day languages to what the Vikings spoke ;)

I saw Hatari live in Sweden last summer. A small and fun festival of 400 people tops, right in the middle of the woods. Excellent performance. If you'd have told me back then that they'd be in the next Eurovision I'd laugh in your face. This might be my favorite of their songs. Good luck Iceland!

This song is just so amazing and it gets better day by day... the whole dystopian theme is so inspiring that it can be read in so many ways. My personal view is that the anger may represent the fascism that took over Europe in a not so distant future, ruining our glorious history once again and the delicate and broken voice in the chorus may represent a fallen Europe expressing her pain for what the man did to her, making the same mistakes again. This is one of the best song ever.
