In Turkey (and in the general Turkic republic) we discuss to add an ñ to the script. Tatars currently use it. We also have a similar phonem (n+g, nğ, ny). But I thik it will not occur, because it would add another burden writing with a tilde and no one is willing for it now, especially behind keyboards

In Slovakia (central Europe) we have also ň that is pronounced like ñ, so it is quite easy for us to say words in spanish with ñ.
