Syphon Filter, one of the better games for the Playstation Console, also had an amazing soundtrack. Composed the mastermind Chuck Doud, prepare your ears for a musical ride.
Lian: "I've got an I.D. match for Rhoemer on level 1....Girduex is on level 2...no location yet for Kravitch and i don't see any signs of Aramov." Logan: "Copy......I'm on my way..."
I remember once I tased one of the terrorists on the rooftop outside the bank after the CBDC Agents defused the bomb, I was literally holding down the button for at least 40 minutes and he LITERALLY turned to mush...didn't even fall, just a big blood puddle on the floor afterwards XD
I don't think so. I don't wanna contradict you but I played those three PS1 Syphon FIlter games a lot, and I NEVER saw such thing you mention. There no was a "mush" state for the enemy models. You could be LITERALLY using the taser several minutes and it does not matter, because after a few seconds the enemy model used to become black or carbonized. So, I really doubt there was a "hidden" feature in the game to create "mush" using the taser, specially for the low poly count of meshes in that time and specially in the PlayStation 1 console. So my friend....you may dreamed what you are saying. If you are correct, go ahead and grab a PSX emulator and show me. I will pay for see that.
Forever etched into my mind. The PS1 era really was a time unto itself. There was something special about being just one person on a console playing against the program. This particular part of the soundtrack used to get me so hyped as a teenager lol.
Was that a glitch or something? I remember simply tazing the CBDC bodies and them getting really pissed off, "Hold your fire!". I think I remember I shot one of the agents and then they started shooting at me? It's been a while since I've played though.
I think it's more of a script than glitch. Like CBDC Agents were programmed to attack anyone who shoots at them and/or their colleagues leading to death.
Bruh....once that car blew up....you knew it was some shit lol. NONSTOP action from that point forward. Possibly the most hectic first level ever for an action game(maybe God of War?). So much shit went down on that first level. List of Objectives was thick!
The best is when you can make it so they would continuously shoot thier guns while catching on fire. (I think one time I had made it so the gun somehow kept firing after they turned black)
Gabe: When does the operation begin? Benton: Our intelligence within the FBI was not clear. But Rhoemer's men are already inside the subway. Lian: Is it the same virus? Markinson: Yes. Enough to eliminate everyone within a hundred miles, or more. Gabe: Procedure? Benton: Standard intercept and eliminate. These are from our contact inside INTERPOL. Jenkins' team is already on Search and Diffuse. You are the trigger. Lian: I recognize Anton Girdeux and Mara Aramov... who's the other one? Benton: Pavel Kravich, Rhoemer's communications expert. When you eliminate him, you'll also have to destroy his comm uplink. You'll be dropped into the strike zone when the firefight begins. You'll have an hour to find your targets and take them out. Gabe: Do the locals know what they're dealing with? Benton: ...No. Lian: I've got an ID match for Rhoemer on Level 1, Girdeux is on Level 2. No location for Kravich, and I don't see any sign of Aramov. Gabe: Copy. I'm on my way.
Anyone else get this game inside a magazine with like 5 other demos on the CD? lmao Tip's and Tricks Magazine was the best for cheats and info at the time. That one and the Game Codes Magazine lmao damn i'm old.
Is it just me, or is every single version of this song out of sync at 0:02, just like in the actual game because of the way the PSX loaded the mission screen? If you listen to the Rare Extended Cue version (uploaded here on RUclips by user Golden Midas) you will hear the intro with the proper timing, but that is the only version with the proper timing; every other version (including the official soundtrack) appears to be a straight up gamerip with the same problem.
Isnt there a part missing from this track? I remember going down in the elevator innthe back of the alley area and chilling in that area listening to the music, then it changed to a calm version o never heard before.
Eddie Kelvin i dont think its a glitch. Its a part of the musix that never really plays because theres always action and it changes to danger music. The same thing occurs in the track for Rhomers stronghold.
It is about the Syphon Filter virus. Gabriel Logan and his teammates are trying to defeat the team behind this virus. Especially, Rhoemer and Mara Aramov.
"When does the operation begin?" "Our intelligence within the FBI was not clear" every time i hear this song i can hear the cutscene transcript in my head.
This is what plays in my head when trying to sneak out of work early.
Lol 🤣
LoL😆
Too relatable
😂😂😂
Does your car blow away in flames as in the intro aswell?
This level starts off with an exploding police car and ends with a train exploding. awesome!
CC CA VA TRES JOLIE BIZ
Phenomenal SF1+2 truly defines our loved PS1! Fuck em awl fuck the rest!!!
Really sets the tone of national biological warfare!!!!!!!@#$%^$#@%^(
"- Gabe, I'm getting interference. You must be near the communications array.
- Kravitch..."
his radius must've been like 50 feet. What a good interference man.
I read with the voices of them! :D
I love how when you contact Lian while in the entrance to the bar you'll hear Kravitch say Ooohhmariiee!!! or something like that.
@@1800REDGENESIS 🤣 I've got to try this!

Burning enemies all day was fun LOL!!!
+warhammernerd52 i still do!
+LilDave017 sure was! ;) i would spend 12 hrs at least burning enemies with the taser. good times.

Lian: Oh my God Gabe you just killed a CBDC agent!
CBDC agent: Hold your fire!
Gabe: *shoots CBDC agent*
M-79 Grenade launcher was nuts in SF1 lol
"DO NOT USE THIS GODDAMN THING THIS IS UNFAIR!"
Everybody while playing 1 vs 1.
BeastMode Overseer killed everyone with the M-79 grenade launcher but myself.

CBDC - "We need more backup!" "Where's our damn backup?!"
CBDC: *Shoots Logan* Im under heavy fire!
(Shoot a dead CDBC body if one dies in the first part then EACH CBDC guard will fire at you)
Was that a glitch or something? I remember simply tazing the CBDC bodies and them getting really pissed off, "Hold your fire!". I think I remember I shot one of the agents and then they started shooting at me? It's been a while since I've played though.

I like how you can tell that you captured this song just sitting on the loading screen cause you can hear the skip at the start and everything lmao
Zapping those guys with the taser and watch them wriggle around until they start on fire.. priceless.

Same with the CBDC, if you zap a bad guy while CBDC are shooting at him, they won't stop until you release the button.
The soundtrack to this game was absolutely LIT.
