This is far from the first controversial thing Spitz has said and when the CEO needs to step in to run damage control over the CM then what the fuck is the CM doing in that position.
Frankly most of the CM's arent good. Twinbeard is absolutely an exception to this though. Its just Spitz was always the most vocal.
Twinbeard is at least trying to be professional.
All the other CMs deserve zero sympathy and they all need to be removed.
And a master manipulator by using the controversy to seem like he was a martyr for it all. Im sure it was a factor but far from the sole reason he was fired
He didn't get fired for his L takes though, he got fired because he went against Sony.
Spitz was already a troublemaker and a shitty CM and person overall. Yes he did do some good at the end, but I bet it was exactly as Fiend here said, he saw the end coming so he did the martyr thing to try and look good before he officially got fired. He absolutely deserved to be fired and even though he was the last one to deserve to be fired in this one occasion, he later on still demonstrated to still be a shitty person and a bootlicker on twitter, got ratio'd and blocked the people calling him out and ratioing him.
Yeah this behavior tracks wayyy back from when he was an admin since Helldivers 1. This guys behavior has been documented extensively there as well.
I'm honestly over the nerfing and I'm over the cm's and their snarky remarks they make, like twin beard calling the ppl upset at the constant nerfs "angry todlers" shits super unprofessional.
We thought that Sony was beaten for good. Faking players want psn requirement with bots to justify implementation in the future is actually disgusting. People need to be aware of oncoming winter.

@@nunyabusinpretty sure what happened to the eruptor was an accident and it got merged a lot harder than they intended. Because all the nerf was is making the blast damage higher while removing the shrapnel. It’s still supposed to oneshot certain enemies and take out groups
Spitz got fired and it's his own fault for his inexcusable comments. If it was my choice Baskinator and Spitz both would have been fired for their inflammatory remarks towards the customers.
He made himself the easy scapegoat to push the blame of why Sony got screwed.
They didn't get rid of him to improve relations with the public; They got rid of him cause they interfered with their plans, Unfortunately. I would love to think it was cause they cared lol.
It is surely a win for us but we should have pressed harder for the whole group when we had the momentum.
A friend of mine and I spent hours running low level missions so he could save enough super credits for the Democratic Detonation war bond, only for them to nerf the Eruptor and Crossbow into irrelevancy. It makes you not want to bother with war bonds going forward.
I am done with warbounds for now. I loved the eruptor when it first came out.

I’m not gonna assume that spitz is a good or bad person (since I and pretty much everyone except those arrowhead don’t know him personally), but he let his emotions get to him, and you can’t do that if you’re a community manager, especially with a game as big as helldivers
Honestly found him more refreshing both ways. You can tell he loves the game and will defend it from brain rot takes, and also change and apologize for his own.

Emotions or not he had to CM well beyond anything they were expecting. I'd be more annoyed if he was kept his original take and just cold shouldered it like alot of other CMs across the space.

Letting your emotions get in your way... and not understanding your community's outcry is probably exactly the opposite of your job. People still don't let down the whole "brutal expectations" from an EA CM, this is just what happens when you're a CM. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement. Because that single post from Spitz made one of my friends swear off Helldivers entirely.

Considering the ceo hadn't a clue how to handle it over 8 months, it would be easy to assume that down the chain had even less of a clue. How do you expect the CMs to do their job perfectly when the ceo technically didn't even do his correctly while having more prep time?
They may have been a company for a bit before this, but I doubt any of them were prepared for the amount of attention it got and could still be considered greenhorn, even now. All of AHs CMs handled this badly, but I doubt any other company's, with the same traffic, before this would fair any better just by sheer volume and attention that got magnetized to them.

These balance changes are getting out of hand
Yeah. Stupid bugs won't die now they get close to you stun lock you (Hunter's and their stupid tongues) can't run cause it auto slows you, if dive you can't get up, at times you get stuck in a crouched position, and when you go to stim you hear the sound but healing isn't immediate and you end up dying. All that shit didn't happen before the nerf cause you could some what control the crowd. I have put in much time after the patch sadly cause its just frustrating.
@@rey_azteca_009 The healing sound has been fixed and you should hit the hunter with a melee to stun them. You can even parry their leaps with a melee hit if you're good enough! Joonsies (might or might not be his name, it is close to that though) made a video about it.
Honestly I have no clue what the balance team is thinking with half these "balance" changes lol, like the eruptor changes Alex said we were "exploiting" the eruptor when we shot under the charger to kill it, no we were using the gun in a clever way there was no bug to abuse other than the charger itself haha, so their solution was to nerf it into the ground.
Also feel like Alex the head balance developer should just be replaced... he hasnt made a single good balance change yet and whenever someone points it out he just says they are exploiting and not playing the way the devs want them too, he was also just a terrible developer in hell neighbor 2 😭
Idk man oneshotting Charger with a primary weapon that is not supposed to be Charger killer, it may be clever wayz but it is also beyond intended usage. I understand that it is nice to have "Kill most of problems and blow up bases in one primary" but it doesn't mean that it is not OP, and shouldn't be balanced accordingly

@@gumikin8706 Yeah, but sacrificing the damage everywhere else for the protection of the Charger seems dumb, especially when the charger and Bile Titan are still the most poorly designed enemies in the game.
On bot side, anything that can pierce the weakpoints on a tank and a hulk can be used. Meanwhile on Bug side it's rockets or nothing. Nobody wants to be held back by someone not bringing rockets like: EATS, Recoiless, Spear, or Quasar (Laser rocket). It seriously hinders potential usage.
It's just like those dumb Arc thrower changes, why reduce the range and not make that overcharge or undercharge a feature instead? Have undercharge do the current range, regular do the un-nerfed range, and overcharge (3 second charge) have that 150m range like it was bugged to have.
Instead, now none is using it because even the stagger it had against hulks are taken away. They really need a new head of the balancing team cuz he doesn't know what he is doing...
@@Akantorz The balance changes are what giving me pause about the game moving forward the most (after this Sony crap). Fixing a one hit bug is a good thing, but they don't buff weak weapons to bring them up. It's as if they want us to fail more often than we are.

Eruptor was so much fun before I had really been enjoying. I’m still trying to use it but honestly now the grenade pistol is the only useful item in that entire war bond imo at helldive. They keep nerfing effective weapons instead of just making weaker weapons more effective at higher levels. It’s very frustrating and I still wouldn’t be surprised if they buff the eruptor because it’s obvious they are just throwing shit at the wall to see if it sticks at this point. 😢
Exactly how I feel, they still haven't fixed the spear, but they nerfed the quaser cause it was too good, same as the rail gun stinks, the recoilless rifle is a pointless weapons when the expendable anti tank is an option, heavy machine gun is useless when you can take the stalwart. The only upside for the rail gun compared to the auto cannon is the rail gun doesn't require a backpack. I haven't even tried the air burst rocket launcher since they released it due to the glitch of blowing up when shooting it, and the mech suit still has issues. I don't get it.

First time I have see someone confirmed PR bots being used to counter backlash. All the big companies use them or contract out bots. Noticed it since 2019 with metro switching to epic games.
So that last twinbeard comment basically confirms what we feared. The eruptor was nerfed on purpose and not because of a "unintended nerf". They saw how powerful it was and realized that nothing would beat it so they had to tone it down. He just spilled the beans on their lie. This is why i will never buy a warbond with my own money, only through game earned SC.

They also removed the stagger effect from the slugger shotgun, the secondaries aren't great either, at the end of the day instead of giving players multiple good weapons, they are giving us no good weapons, a few decent weapons we should just accept, and multiple unusable guns.

They already did that a long time ago with no queations asked, I already had the WB when I bought Super-Citizen I send them a ticket and the credits were funded within a day or so.

So I'm a steam pc player I bought the super citizen edition the used a 20$ to buy the war bond and spent the remaining supper credits on armor in the super store do I qualify as well and if so do I got through customer service through steam or a arrowhead website
I really think there's way too many people chiming in that haven't worked for a company before.
It is possible to work for a company and also hate the corporate BS. Twinbeard isn't doing anything wrong here, he just doesn't want to regurgitate the same boiler plate BS that comes with public notifications of an employee termination, and I can get behind that.

I wont buy bond right away any more.. When they figure out how broken the newest bond is and nerf the one working weapon into the ground later for our own benefit somehow. I wont have to SUFFER the DISAPPOINTMENT.
More play testing could solve a lot of these issues.

It makes sense that valve would do the locking on the store page because they were also refunding the game for people that weren't going to be able to play it anymore. Honestly I think steam was trying to save players from buying a game they wouldn't be able to play. Hopefully it should be fixed soon.
Steam has always protected players, in other scenarios too.
You can say they had issues too but most of the time they do the right thing.
You can say too that they do it for legal reasons, but overall these moments make them look good for it.

Make sure to create an account (under “Sign In”) and check for responses periodically. Their email notification system isn’t working so if you make a ticket you won’t know about the response. At least last time I tried. I did let them know this was happening and they are looking into the notification issues.
Also to have time to get your SC for super citizens make sure to include your account id and a screen shot of your Steam purchase history. They will ask for it.
A lot of people waited months for SC not knowing they got a reply and were simply missing information.
The constant nerfs are annoying. I quit playing for this same reason. We are just becoming play testers. Would like to come back at the end of the year hoping the game is fixed and balanced

i have a psn acc and use it for bo3 on ps4 but thats it if i have it i can link it but dont make it mandatory for pc players where you have no legally allowed psn network

I feel like, while it's okay to be mad at spitz for telling everyone to review bomb the game. It was in my eyes necessary, He made a comment to spark a fire in the masses, and it worked. i don't know about his other problems nor will I comment on them but for this instance at least he needed to be target of our anger so that we could uniformly fire back at sony.

I think that Arrowhead need to chill on the "balance" issue. The enemies are tough as coffin nails and with the 3ecent changes to how partial and solo teams work the game isn't fun unless you have a full team, which with quickplay being what it is, isn't very often. The game was the most fun four weeks ago and now they're just adding grind for no reason. If I wanted to play a grindfest shooter, there are a hundred better ones out there.
INB4 the purifier gets heavy nerfed within a week of the bond dropping, seen it in game and it will be hit real hard
Unfortunately the review hellbombs did, more or less, start after Spitz said go leave a review. And Sony was looking for someone to go after so that they could tell their tops that the situation was "delt with".
I think the review hell ombs would have happened anyway, but his words were unfortunately worded.

People have strongly exaggerated what Spitz did. The community have been acting like a bunch of Karens who has been screeching about wanting to talk to the manager about Spitz. I'm not defending Spitz but the community or the people who did this, they are not innocent.
Spitz did not get fired because of the community. He was fired because he told people to refund and review bomb the game. It is also hilarious that some people view him as a martyr or some kind of a hero but it speaks volumes on what kind of idiots that are in the discord on both sides.
A lot of the CMs needed to go. They were trying to turn the discord into their own echo chamber. Banning names of creators that they hated and saying absolutely ridiculous nonsense that could get Arrowhead in legal trouble. Where do they pick up these people anyway?

You Got it slightly wrong on the bots being pro helldiver, instead it was pro PSN.
My game crashed around 5:30 yesterday when steam went down. We were at extraction with all the samples T.T
I'm not sure what time zone you are in, but steam has regular maintenance on tuesdays, which usually shuts down anything online for 10-30 minutes. Happened to me too until I looked it up.
I’ll tell you what, nothing kicks a Helldiver down more than losing all your samples due to a crash! Dang that sucks!
My game crashed 5 separate times in 2 hours yesterday, that's more than the entire 2 months I've been playing.

OH. So THATS why I randomly started getting set onfire, saw a hulk flying above me every now and then, got ragdolled by nothing, saw pelican one land instantly, and took 40 seconds to land upon reinforcement yesterday.
Everyone else was on playstation, so that explains alot.

I was cool with the Railgun, Breaker, Quazar and Shield nerfs. They're all still good. Most of the rest I don't care about as I don't use. But this Eruptor nerf has me really disappointment. It wasn't even my main go to, but one I used because it was FUN.

Spitz getting fired feels like a decree from Sony over the PSN thing. I could see him receiving some mandatory training over his earlier comments, but he never did anything that couldn't be fixed with training and experience. I can't say the same for Squid though.
All the people defending spits are the same people who defended the psn change, not to mention side with the politics of the other CMs.
I think the blocked regions are not Arrowhead or Sony's doing. it's Steam they are currently talking with Sony to know if they are planning to make a PSN account linking mandatory, later down the line

I crashed more yesterday than i ever have since the game came out
Last 3 times I quit Helldivers 2, Corsair iCUE would crash on my system. Friend on PS5 crashed 3x while in a game with me on PC and 2 other PS5 friends.

If people actually research a little more, apparently the guy that was let go was a shitty CM for a while now, unprofessional, got rid of a discord page because he was mad at users and other shit. People just here "he was fired" and all of a sudden they want to review bomb the game again to get the guy back. Relax, folks

Is it just me or have they announced a bunch of free new stuff to divert the conversation away from the fact that Sony haven't actually said they aren't going ahead with PSN accounts being required. From what I saw they only said they weren't going ahead with the update announced to take place on May 6th, nothing about future plans.
In the discord I think it was Twinbeard that said there will be no mandatory account linking for Helldivers 2 anymore.

Okay, I'm buying 1k of SC each month or 2 times in month to show devs that we want some new warbond (it's how love service games works) even if i have already around 2k of SC, i will buy 1k of them again to support new warbond, but if they will continue to nerf everything i will get bored and leave, since I'm wasting my time to the game that each time takes away from you your gun a gives you a poop that useless at all.
Exactly, players will naturally move on to the newer weapons, it's on the developers to introduce new, unique, and guns worth using every time without ruining the current guns.

Spitz did the thing that affected change at that was a big no-no from overlord Sony. Take out the strong voices, to silence the rest of the crowd.
Spits made stupid remarks early on, but they still deserved to learn and grow from it. But what they did earned Sony's ire, and they payed the obvious price.

i know the erupter and other nerfs can come off as "nerfing good weapons before the new OP ones come out" but i honestly think it's more straightforward and naive. they know the weapons will be a bit OP. the game is designed around having fun. i honestly believe that they over-nerfed the erupter but didn't do it intentionally but for genuine balance. it just looks that way to players and they'll continue to balance all the weapons. i don't think any of the weapons have been nerfed so much that they just aren't fun AND that they're likely to stay that way. the reason i think this, is because most of the decisions they make are pro-consumer, this is a great example of them being pro-consumer. arrowhead has fought tooth and nail against sony and we won.
