PERFECT TIMING!!I I placed an order for Komplete Kontrol MK1 last week, even though it was on backorder. A sales rep called and told me that they expect more to come in September 11 and that I should receive it by the 13th- WELL, this wound up working to my advantage: after discovering today (7SEP) that NI released the MK2, I Immediately called the sales rep back and had him switch my MK1 to the MK2!! The release date is Oct 5th, heck I was already waiting anyway- a few extra days won't hurt!
I do, they had a huge sale on 11 about a month ago and usually companies do this right before launching a new product, they milk the last of the sales on the previous version. I would be surprised if 12 wasn't out before new years.
JemenJ They are not supposed to be full controllers for anything but Maschine. Still it’s pretty cool to have this much functionality on both ableton and logic. Don’t even have to map anything on the menus like so many other keyboards that don’t even support basic transport controls out of the box.
I second that emotion! Now available for pre-order here at Turntable Lab: www.turntablelab.com/products/native-instruments-komplete-kontrol-s49-mk2-keyboard-controller?aff=56023
Amazing waht NI is putting together these days! NKS Controllers are really the future of Music making in a DAW. Now there are just a few DAW Kontrols left for example edit the timeline directly on the screens and copy/paste some patterns.
yes I agree with that. mouse is indeed the ultimate controller. we will take some time to get used to this hardware integration on complete, and even with that we still need mouse and keyboard for all other. so this kind of setup will be a great bonus for live on stage performance, and in studio its just an option or a luxury :)
just awesome... I really disliked the screens on the MK1 from the start, they were almost unreadable at times... wasn't crazy about the fact you needed to plug in to AC power either, now I can free up a slot in my UPS. The DAW integration for mixing your project's tracks (volume, pan, etc.) using the screens and knobs is amazing. I'm kinda wishing you'd stuck with the bigger LED's though... other than that I just wish that you've added pads and that the screens were inclined a little bit up (or maybe flip up a bit up) for a better eye-level view... THAT would have made it perfect! (for me at least)
I prefer a computer mouse. Two tiny screens. I have a big momitor and I can see everything clearly in my DAW. For me, the best for making music and processing it is a simple computer mouse.
I love ❤️ my komplete kontrol s61 mk1 but I’m gonna get an s88 from mk2 for sure!!! 💵 (Is a 88 key version available?) so many added features and 👍 for the modwheel but still keeping the touch too 👍👍👍
When will Native Instruments going to incorporate synthesia or have their own version into the amazing LED keyboards as I do believe this would boost sales on the LED keyboards as I am currently trying to learn keyboard and so will many others after seeing this update
I really hope they develop a 88 key version as well. I'm seriously considering getting one, as I got a first gen 61 key version, but I didn't like it at all for the lack of mod and pich wheels.
It looks awesome! I still wonder though, how do you Automate a parameter/dial in Ableton? Do you still have to click the configure button on the vst in Live before you can automate?
Beautiful keyboard. Love that it works like the studio more now. Previous version can be a bit awkward at times. Have you guys made the plugin scaleable yet? I hate working with that tiny plugin in the daw.
I am happy to confirm, with the firmware update, the komplete kontrol MK2 does indeed transpose in semitones, while in MIDI mode. The MK1 did not. Just in case anyone else was wondering.
Unfortunately no, on another video the guy said they focused on only the 49 and 61 this time. He didn't say they wouldn't ever make an 88 but it seems they have no plans on it right now. Maybe they didn't sell good? I would want an 88 if I got one.
Thanks for your reply! In the first version, there was already a difference between the 49, 61 and 88 (the keys). Let's hope the 88 will have other unique functions as well (like a fader section). I can imagine they got a slightly different wish list from the 88 users than from the 49,61 users.
Can't wait got one to complete my Machine + and looking forward using scaled keys function for live Hindi / Raga music but wished it hard chord scanning / recognition while playing the chord live on the instrument versus manually inputting them
I haven't played Keyboards in years. my Maschine 2.0 sat in my box for years and I just pulled it out to learn how to use it. Previously, I used the Massive software using just my computer Keyboard. Shoudl I go with this most expensive model or start off basic? A small controller works for space in my home office without needing to rearrange my home office.
Just checked the Native Instruments website and sad to say you cant pre-order an S-88 MK2. Will this be available??? I'm looking forward to it for the Film Scoring Home Studio I investing in. Love your products.
PhoenixStar012 - When I ordered mine from Sweetwater, the sales tech told me that they are tracking an incoming shipment of the 49 and 61only. I asked about the 25 and 88, but he had no information on them - I think that NI is keeping production costs down by offering the two most popular sizes, OR they get our money now and then offer the sizes that we originally wanted (25 and 88)- just a thought!
Bilaal Porter thanks!!! I just pre-ordered the S61 from Zzounds. I really wanted the 88 for a nice Film Scoring setup so I'm just gonna grab it somewhere in the future but this MIDI keyboard is the last piece I need to really gets some stuff going. Cubase 9, Komplete 11 Ultimate, and now this MK2. Can't wait for the drop date!
hey came on Native Instruments. make e good update for komplete kontrol 2. We need some basic things that you dont have it in this soft. 1.Turn on and off the lights. 2. Copy and paste midi presets. If i acidently erase a preset i have to start from scratch.
Thanks for the vid. I like the addition of the browsing screens and the new NI preset preview samples. However, given the S49 and S61 are 'just' controllers, with the software, libraries, samples, held on the host computer, why can't NI now offer the same preview feature under a software update of KK, when browsing with the mouse and/or Mk1 controller buttons?
MK3 is gorgeous , I"M going to hold off a bit because I have the Maschine Studio, so I can't wait to see what new features are going to implemented on the Maschine Studio 2, I'm betting it will have a way bigger screen for starters, JS
And still 4sec loading time between single sounds, like an old emulator? The core of NI is older than the stones on the bottom of the sea....the reason why I sold mine.
Ni still does not make any announcement to fully support DAW's other than Ableton Live, Logic 10, Garageband and as of December Cubase. I don't understand why NI still ignores DAW's such as Presonus Studio One 3 :-(
antwan hawkins I take this for a compliment. I'm a big fan of NI. I bought the KK S61 in May. Nice to see that if I had waited until October I'd get for the same price the new version extensively enhanced. Well that's the fate of many buyers of electronic gadgets. So do I have to adjust my buying patterns to those I've used to apply with products from Apple where at least every September Tim Cook lets roll the dices?
In their defense, it might be more on Presonus's end. I contacted Nektar Tech about why my Panorama P4 doesn't have "deep integration" like other DAWs and they said "It's currently not possible with Studio One" : -(
Will it have all the same workflow features shown in Ableton, etc, but for FL Studio 20?? (mixing, automation,...) I wonder whether it has native DAW support? Wanna upgrade from my old novation sl 49 mk2
Hey, I like it very much ! but there is but ! one big but ! why you guys always focus on everything except FL STUDIO !?!?!?! I mean guys just understand growing market of FL STUDIO is huge and phnomenal ! so many users out there just waiting for your gear to be combined with FL STUDIO ! GO MAKE PARTNERSHIP WITH THEM !!!!!!!!!The best names using it so go and make something for us ! we need it so much !!!!!!!!!!!
love my current kontrol keyboard.Just will go to the 61. Needs more knobs and functionality on right, top side of keyboard. more is better. like the new encoder function on the new controller.
PERFECT TIMING!!I I placed an order for Komplete Kontrol MK1 last week, even though it was on backorder. I've watched this video like 50 times just to hear the beat! just got my Komplete Kontrol s49 mk2 and I love it. It's very intuitive.
This is the best Demo i've seen in years
How about a demo with blank project? Both on logic pro x and ableton live? Then we see how much mouse work is required.
JemenJ They are not supposed to be full controllers for anything but Maschine. Still it’s pretty cool to have this much functionality on both ableton and logic. Don’t even have to map anything on the menus like so many other keyboards that don’t even support basic transport controls out of the box.
Got A88 mk2 yesterday and it’s awesome... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Integration is unbelievable
Beautiful and smart! This will find its way to my studio for sure.
Yes she is :D
I second that emotion! Now available for pre-order here at Turntable Lab: www.turntablelab.com/products/native-instruments-komplete-kontrol-s49-mk2-keyboard-controller?aff=56023
It's been 6 yrs now, will there be an updated/next version? I don't really mind but if there is something new planned i could wait for that.
I got mine a few day ago what a piece of kit..
yay it's nadine! we haven't seen you for ages, you made my day. oh, the keyboard is great too btw!
This looks stunning. I'm gutted I didn't wait until the 2nd iteration came out..will you be doing a trade-in for MK1 like Ableton did with Push?
What massive patch was that? Sounds amazing! :o
Very nice, finally a screen on the controller. May be time to upgrade my current MIDI controller. A touch screen would be a nice addition for the MK3.
thanks Nadine Raihani the best presentation of the device :)
Can we expect a fully weighted hammer-action version? When approximately?
Maybe yes
NI will dropped it before X-Mas mark my words. :)
Between the old S49/61 version and the S88 was over a year difference. Thats why i want to know, if the new 88er will happen this year.
how comes they can't get fully weighted keys on smaller keyboards?
I guess, because people who want more realist piano feeling (weighted keys) also want full 88 keys, like a piano. At least a lot of them.
One word: unbelievable!!!
Hola donde podre comprarlo al new i KOMPLETE KONTROL | Native Instruments vivo en Argentina.gracias
should i get this or Roli seaboard?
Amazing waht NI is putting together these days! NKS Controllers are really the future of Music making in a DAW. Now there are just a few DAW Kontrols left for example edit the timeline directly on the screens and copy/paste some patterns.
Love the colour display... I want it
Your demo beat is way better than Savage's tutorial. Thinking of getting this monster, cheers!
Native Instruments are on a roll. love it. positive.
I Love Nadine Raihani 🎹
Sold me on the mixer
Same! Holy smokes.
you can do those mixer things with your mouse also
Yeah but the convenience of not even having to touch your mouse is a bonus. Extra convenience goes a long way.
mouse is teh ultimate controller though.
yes I agree with that. mouse is indeed the ultimate controller. we will take some time to get used to this hardware integration on complete, and even with that we still need mouse and keyboard for all other. so this kind of setup will be a great bonus for live on stage performance, and in studio its just an option or a luxury :)

Will this be supporting Studio One 3 controls natively? If yes - I'm sold
How do I get those feet for the Maschine mk3 that you are using to raise up the back for a better viewing angle? As seen here 5:52
Just looking for the same
they should have a recycle program cuz i'd gladly trade my current kompletekontrol for this one
I prefer a computer mouse.
Two tiny screens.
I have a big momitor and I can see everything clearly in my DAW.

I'm in love 😍
With the Kontroller and Nadine 😂

May I send you my old K S49 and get this brand new K S49 compensable priced .... ?
It looks awesome! I still wonder though, how do you Automate a parameter/dial in Ableton? Do you still have to click the configure button on the vst in Live before you can automate?
Simply an intelligent & beautiful creative tool. Santa please ...
1:11 just like Ableton PUSH - Very nice
Thank, thank you NI!! This is beyond of what ive been expecting. Need to get my hands on it asap!
will i be able to chop my samples using the keyboard
Will there be a micro mk3?
thAT SONg iS gORGeOus! I'm sold!
Cool. Also sick soundtrack 🎉
amazing how much more colourful maschine looks compared to live :P
Beautiful keyboard. Love that it works like the studio more now. Previous version can be a bit awkward at times. Have you guys made the plugin scaleable yet? I hate working with that tiny plugin in the daw.
GOD i sure hope this is a solid yes. NI PLEASE respond....
I am happy to confirm, with the firmware update, the komplete kontrol MK2 does indeed transpose in semitones, while in MIDI mode. The MK1 did not. Just in case anyone else was wondering.
This is amazing. Teach me everything
Great update! Is there also an S88 MK2 in the making?

PRE-ORDERED!!
Quincy King Oh the caps, the caps. They burn!
Can't wait got one to complete my Machine + and looking forward using scaled keys function for live Hindi / Raga music but wished it hard chord scanning / recognition while playing the chord live on the instrument versus manually inputting them
Will the sample preview feature be available on the Komplete Kontrol software without the use of hardware?
I think I'm going to get this one. I like the new features.
where can i get these maschine legs?
This looks super neat! Will the 25 key version also be upgraded?!
I was gonna buy the previous version this week, guess im right on time baby !!
Awesome piece of kit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very nice piece of Kit, Ok out with the old !!
I ❤️ you N.I.!!!!
Fantastic piece of.. maschinery!!!!!
How are they connected to each other or individually to the PC?
You Can also use it for ableton Live as software ?
Can that four directional knob be used for X Y functions, for example Thrill library by Galaxy?
I haven't played Keyboards in years. my Maschine 2.0 sat in my box for years and I just pulled it out to learn how to use it. Previously, I used the Massive software using just my computer Keyboard. any breath control input yet?
You ever gonna make this daw compatible?
I have Presonus Studio One; can I use this keyboard with Studio One?
hey came on Native Instruments. make e good update for komplete kontrol 2. We need some basic things that you dont have it in this soft. 1.Turn on and off the lights. 2. Copy and paste midi presets. If i acidently erase a preset i have to start from scratch.

Will all the features work with Pro Tools as well?
wow as if it didn't already seem like it was trying to kill abettor push 2 but now you can control live with it too?? i might be sold
Cubase support out yet?
Great work! And it contains real pitch and modulation wheels too.... ;) Will buy it!
I'll wait for the next model, when there's a full touchscreen.
Thanks for the vid. I like the addition of the browsing screens and the new NI preset preview samples. What about Studio one integration......any time soon ?
S88 version please
And Bitwig support
+1 for Bitwig
+2 for Bitwig
+ 3 bitwig
+1 S88
And still 4sec loading time between single sounds, like an old emulator? The core of NI is older than the stones on the bottom of the sea....the reason why I sold mine.
Where can I get the legs for the Maschine in this video?
Instantly fell in love with the S49. And Nadine... ;-)
So was the board it self actually recording or tracking anything or was it all on the Mac or pc daw?
Do you need keyboard experience for this such as knowing chords etc?
this is only for native library?
Can KOMPLETE work with other DAWs like Studio One or ProTools!?
So it only supports a few DAWs? Not Sonar, Studio One etc?
Does the MK2 finally get full Pro Tools support?
what sounds is she using for all the tracks??
incredible producing instruments!!!
What a beauty! The keyboard is pretty nice too.
bought the mk1 s49 in july then this came in sept, is it worth upgrading?
How is this as a midi controller for synth modules?
Does all this work in REAPER as well as it does in Ableton and Logic?
Ni still does not make any announcement to fully support DAW's other than Ableton Live, Logic 10, Garageband and as of December Cubase. I don't understand why NI still ignores DAW's such as Presonus Studio One 3 :-(
Ralf Ludwig or sonar
antwan hawkins

Lol I really dig that tune at 2:38!
Since it's software-based, will the sound previews be available to people with MK1 hardware?
Will it have all the same workflow features shown in Ableton, etc, but for FL Studio 20?? (mixing, automation,...)
I wonder whether it has native DAW support? Wanna upgrade from my old novation sl 49 mk2
Just like everyone else said... FL STUDIO SUPPORT, and I will definitely sell my s49 in a heartbeat!
I'm getting this.
Hey, I like it very much ! but there is but ! one big but ! why you guys always focus on everything except FL STUDIO !?!?!?! Thumbs up fl guys to make them listen ! !! ! ! !
Team Aurelion Ask Fruity Loops why they haven’t made a similar controller for it. It’s not Native’s job to support everything.
Fl is for amateurs!!! Ableton, Sonar, Cubase, Logic, Protools, Studio One are for professionals!!!!
will this work with Mixcraft 8 which is my favourite DAW system
love my current kontrol keyboard.Just will go to the 61. Needs more knobs and functionality on right, top side of keyboard. more is better. like the new encoder function on the new controller.
