@@omargonzalez2641 - where was Dafne in Tokyo? Seems the women's sprint events were dominated by the Jamaican women, led by Elaine Thompson-Herah. I don't remember Dafne qualifying for any individual sprint final.

Great to see the race from this angle. As if I am in the stadium myself. Dafne was the favorite before the race, but people (in Holland) seemed to have forgotten that Elaine was only 0,03 seconds slower than Dafne at the World Championship in 2015.

Exactly!!! She only beat Elaine by a whisker..i dont know why ppl thought this gold was a certainty...all Elaine had to do was adjust her race strategy and whip her.
I expected Elaine to win. Daphne was just more popular then they hyped her up a lot.

Well, Dafne is the fastest 200m runner in the World . If you don't count the two dopers. One admitted the other's early dead says enough. Dafne is certainly faster the all Jamaicans ever lived.

@@isaacnelson9881 She didn't. Elaine was just better. If you watched the semi finals leading up to that race, there was a moment when Elaine surged at her but then she decided to pull back. At that moment I knew Elaine would beat her because she had a greater reserve. Dafne simply gave herself too much work with that kind of start.
I wonder why Dafne got a bigger reception than the other runners?
Maybe latinos like blonds. Maybe because she is world champion. Maybe because she is nice. Maybe because blacks don't cheer for whites.

It was a good Olympic Games, the competition in Rio was great; what goes on in the stands is meaningless as 99.99% percent of viewers see it on TV.
Rio had definitely the worst home crowd ever. They would favour all the teams and athletes 'against Argentina' and boo their neighbours, regardless what sport (handball e.g.) The reason that the stadiums were empty was that you could buy 3 game packages and they would only watch the 'Brazilian match'. That was even so with the quarterfinals beach volleyball at the 'holy' sand of copacabana. At the following game they were gone. And the worst act of unsportmanship was the pole vault final where they even booed at the french favourite Renaud Lavillenie! I lost all sympathy for the 'samba' brazilians...

2 months before Rio in Oslo Schippers won by a full 0.7 of a second. And after 10m she was already ahead and humiliated Elaine. Somehow no blacks were impressed.
Dafne : 21.93 Thompson : 22.64 2 weeks after Rio , Dafne run in Zurich 21.86 Thompson got very suspecious times and progresses. Dafne is constant checked by 2 anti doping agencies. Thompson is hardly checked.

@DaGingerHeadMan what is so hard to understand ? I saw the video here on youtube. I said 2 months before this race, Elaine Thompson was humilated by Dafne loosing with 0.7 seconds. That is a lot ! In Oslo. How can there be such a difference.? Why can't she be doping. Jamaica has a rep. and they say it all the time about Dafne. They say a lot of bad things about her all the time, you think that is not racism?
@DaGingerHeadMan If the times from Oslo to here had been reversed with Thompson and Dafne this comment section would be full of Dafne doping comments. I think Jietze makes very valid points. And Dafne still has run .15 faster than this race winner ran.

Its , "she is juiced" or "doping works" or even "she is a man" or the other runners were sick or tired or they compare her with a juiced time from 1980 . There are little positive comments from blacks if Dafne wins , sometimes even completely ignored and positive comments on black runners who weren't even in the race. I say everything in your face not behind your back, no matter black or white. My black friends appreciate that, i am not this hypocriete white lefty laugh and agree with you but behind your back saying something else. What you see is what you get. My neighbour is a black hot woman 32 years of age , we get along just fine. Drinking and dancing every weekend at each others place.

Also, no one heard of Daphne Schippers prior to 2015, she was a heptathlete, and not a particularly successful one. She claimed she changed her "diet" and focused on sprinting, then suddenly set a record in the 200m. Exactly what did she change in her "diet"? Inquiring minds would like to know. Did she hire dieticians from the former East Germany? No we "Blacks" are NOT impressed with Daphne, as far as we are concerned she is another "great White dope." But cheating chemically does not give an athlete longevity. Daphne Schippers is no longer running at times she ran 6 years ago, whereas the Jamaican women are still running the same times they posted in 2008.
Oh by the way, severe acne in women is a sign of high levels of testosterone. Just like FloJo your Daphne has an acne problem, Elaine Thompson does not.
