Mani Sir, your voice is great and rich. Hat's off to you. "Ambuliyai kulambakki......." sung by T. M. Soundarrajan in "Ambikapathi" is in the same tune as "Kulirndha mugamanum......." sung by M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar in "Sivakavi"1943. Both the songs are the creation of the legendary music director G. Ramanathan.
It is really surprising that Mr Mani did not point out this fact. It is equally surprising that Mr Mani had not referred to the piece 'Nee illaamal anuvum asaiyumo' by the inimitable P U Chinnappa. Much later, TMS sang a 2-minute brilliant piece "Maya valaiyil vizhundhu" in Gulebagavali (1955). There have been several melodies in karaharapriya thereafter, apart from the fusion 'I will sing for you' by none else than TMS.
