It seems these days that becoming a Christian is like walking through a doctrinal minefield. Mentally, emotionally and spiritual minefield. A person should not have to have a theological doctorate to understand the Word Of God.

Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mark10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
      One *MUST* make a choice.
      One *MUST* repent.
One *MUST* place their faith *ALONE* in Jesus for salvation.
Luke 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, ***How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!***

In talking with them they slandered and attacked me like I was some sort of devil worshiper or Christ denier.....and ALL because I believe in Salvation by Grace alone by Faith!

Its free grace because it was completely paid for and completed by Christ. There is only ONE gospel, the Jewish Christians were saved just like the Gentile Christians, by faith alone through grace, not of works, lest any man should boast. The Law was fulfilled by Christ and was set aside at his crucifiction, to Jews and Gentiles alike.

I am sick and tired of the divide and conquer. The churches are full of contentions contrary to the doctrine of Christ. Lordship, Rukkkman, Wilkin, Andirtson, Calvinism, New Apostate Racists. It all goes back to Acts 2:38. Every attempt to harmonize it leads to a system. If I lived in the first century and received Galatians 1:8, and later someone preached Acts 2:38 at me, I would have rejected the latter.

Lordship Salvation combines salvation and discipleship into one action. If the two are mixed, you will end up with one of two things: salvation by faith plus works, or discipleship lite. Calvinists find this belief "P" stage of TULIP, the perseverance of the saints, which says that if you don't have works, you probably weren't saved in the first place. It backloads works into the Gospel. Milk (salvation) and meat (discipleship) are different things.

    • @The-GreenHornet
      @The-GreenHornet Год назад +1

      Amen 🙏.
The first comment that I wholeheartedly agree with.
This pastor is very confusing to listen to. He seems to be doing gymnastics with the two views. Hard to pin down what side he is actually believing in.
He seems to be denying both Lordship salvation and free grace by themselves, yet conjoining both into one.
I've studied Lordship salvation pretty thoroughly.
As you said, Lordship salvation garbles the gospel of grace with works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation.
It mixes Justification with Sanctification, Salvation with decipleship.
Kinda like what this guy comes across as doing.
Salvation is a GIFT 🎁 that is received by faith alone in trusting in the blood atonement alone on Calvary's Cross through grace alone; it cannot in the slightest way be merited by a individual's works of any type no matter how small or pure those are.
      Decipleship is...completely different.
It's counting the costs, denying yourself and taking up your cross daily, surrendering your life to the leading of Christ for you personally.
Mix the two, and you get confusion and error of the two.
Lordship salvation DOES either front-load or back-loads works-righteousness obedience works for proof of salvation.
It's not semantics: just a different view of the same thing.
It is a false doctrine, a false gospel of a totally different kind altogether.
Which the Apostle Paul spoke about in Galatians 1:6-9 a accursed gospel.

The Truth of the Gospel is not what we must do as a believer, It is what God has already done for us through Christ. Until I came to Dispensationalism, I heard preachers and teachers saying you must do the commandments of Christ in order to show that you are a true believer. Up to that point in my life I was almost willing to give up, until I heard the word Dispensationalism, looked into it and I have not been the same since. I can't get enough of it. So now i can't listen to preachers and teachers who do not divide the Word of Life correctly. I don't want to waste anymore time with people who should be out of the pulpits and Sunday School rooms and learn themselves how to Divide the Word. I know now that covenant theology is a hyper-theology meaning part Roman Catholic and part protestant, with Big Problems.

What most churches teach is the false reformed doctrine that we are Justified by faith alone but that faith will never be alone it will manifest Itself by works of love and obedience and if it doesn't it's not genuine that is not faith alone that is Faith plus Works subtly added to the grace message

DID JESUS DIE FOR DEVILS? Can devils be saved if they follow Jesus ? Huh ? I don't think so as Jesus ain't no devil.
What James is talking about being able to show your faith before men as it is clear in romans 11:6 that you do not need works to be saved.
romans 11:6 And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace
However you need works to be justified before men so they will come to believe in Jesus because of your works that is what James is getting at as you can't show your faith unless you have works to show for it. No man can see your faith for that resides in your heart. If James is saying you need works to be saved then James is against what Paul teaches for Paul teaches that we are justified completely without our works by the grace of God only. This is the danger of not following after the simple doctrine of Paul that is clear on our salvation is not of ourselves which means James must be talking about profitable things to do when you are in the faith and not how you get saved, for no man is saved because of his works so that no man can boast in himself, if I have to have faith+works to be saved then I surely can boast in my works but that is no the GOOD NEWS.
We are all saved by grace through FAITH in him (eph 2:8) it is not of ourselves and by his blood we have his forgiveness (eph 1:7) and not by our repentance.
The devils didn't get any blood as they ain't even HUMAN !!!!!!! And we HUMANS !!! all can receive that blood through faith in Jesus Christ, it is that simple to be free that is why we call it the gospel or GOOD NEWS where we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise as an earnest from God to give us assurance he will keep his promises at the day of redemption to whosoever believes.
We are all justified by God through faith for only God justifies the ungodly as our faith is counted for righteousness as it is a gift of God freely given to whosoever believes on the son of God.
    Peace.

The noetic effects of the sin run very deep! even in evangelical camps we are divided. Sin really did a number on the mind and heart! Humble presentation which is very important. What I look for is CONSISTENCY in a preacher's approach. This is a must! When I see inconsistency, especially when they get off pulpit to Q&A (which I believe more accurate to what one believes in application to real life) then that is a problem. Go to any pastor's Q&A section or a conference discussion and their message should be consistent to their pulpit message. That said, some big name preachers need to clean it up and re-think because there are glaring inconsistencies. One example: RC Sproul in his book Holiness of God. Solid work on the Holy Spirit. His book on Classical Apologetics, throws the Holy Spirit down the drain! Scathing statements that contradict his Holiness book. Method MUST be consistent! Yet...RC was never called out on this! Why? Naive listeners who think their respected teacher is without error! He was in error according to his own books! Humility is to repent, but these "authors" who have books (many books for some) get over their head and do not repent because of publishers...welcome to Christianity in the 20th/21st centuries! BAD WITNESS...

Luke quotes Paul : "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." How do mid-Acts folks understand this quote? It is post mid-Acts. 😃
Paul says to the Romans "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." This is post mid-Acts as well and covers Jews and gentiles. This is Paul, not John.😃
Jesus said "Why call ye me Lord, Lord! and do not the things which I say?" Because this is in the gospels, does it only apply to the kingdom and not the church?
Here's another perspective on James: James is not preaching the gospel to the world. He is preaching practical sanctification to those who have professed faith. A reality check so to speak. Paul preaches it too. "Test yourselves [to see] if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?" 2 Cor 13:5 NASB95

@@eiou12345 So, you spend all of your time sharing the gospel, praying, and reading the Bible? And you love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength every second of every day? Heads up: You do NOT. None of us do. You have a self righteousness attitude that is obvious. Sin is the transgression of the Law, and nobody can keep the Law. The Bible says not even the Jews to whom the Law was given could do it. Remember also, the Bible says if you keep the whole Law, yet stumble at one point, you are guilty of breaking ALL of it. And as far as "begging" God to change us, you do realize that the Bible says at conversion we are made perfect, righteous, and holy, don't you? God takes or sins - past, present, and future - and in exchange we receive the very righteousness of Christ. It's the reason believers are called "saints" in Scripture. And for you to say you can stop sinning shows your immaturity. Not even the Apostle Paul could accomplish that. Read Romans 7:13-24 sometime.

He lost me once he said 1 John was not meant for the church because John was one of the 12 apostles. It was written in Ephesus amongst Gentiles area. I'm all for dispensationalism and rightly discerning those dispensation but using that to ignore certain scriptures is just like the Saducees who rejected the prophets. AS FAR AS Lordship salvation vs Free Grace debate goes the New Perspective on Paul scholarly perspective kills that whole debate.. they both misunderstand what Paul was combating in his letters. When he said "works" he was always using an abbreviation for "works of the torah/Jewish law". Look at Epesians 2:8-9 Paul says " not from works lest anyone BOAST" and then he continues talking about Gentile/Jewish relations in later part of chapter.. the boasting is not about merit works to get salvation but in being a Jew. The works Paul refers to are those a Jew would BOAST in .like circumcision.. diet and separation. There is not a play on works for salvation and good works as evidence of salvation as Lordship ppl say.. salvation is entirely by grace regardless if one is Jew or Gentile. But you need to be in Christ to participate in that salvation. Calling a person's response to the gospel "works" is just wrong headed. Both Lordship and Free Grace are misunderstanding

The epistles for the Body of Christ in this dispensation are Romans through Philemon. Paul was the chosen Apostle to the gentiles and all doctrine for the Body of Christ comes from what the risen Christ instructed Paul to write and teach. Peter, James and John were Hebrew apostles who believed Jesus was the Christ, Israel's Messiah. Peter, James and John wrote letters to the Jewish people who were dispersed after Pentecost and before Israel fully rejected her Messiah in Acts 7. After the catching up of the Body of Christ, Israel's Kingdom program will resume and the 7 years tribulation will occur before Christ returns to set up His earthly Kingdom. These epistles of James, Peter and John will be read and applicable to Kingdom saints going through the tribulation, and in particular how to identify the difference between the real Christ and the anti-Christ. 1 John is therefore NOT written TO us! Nor is Peter and James or Hebrews.

MATHEW 28:18-20 The great commission is instructive there...v 18 Jesus says all authority in heaven and earth has been given to him... that's a rule ..so kingdom comes in in some way...Boch would say in fulfilment of the Davidic promises. BUT the great commission flows from that authority over heaven and earth and the command is to TEACH them to observe all things that I commanded you... that includes all the commands of Jesus in the gospel of Mathew that aren't specific (like go to the house of Israel only) ..That verse alone should warn against pushing the dispensationalism too far.
Yes there is a future for Israel and Paul was sent to the Gentiles as Jesus was sent to Israel. I believe dispensationalism mainly because of Daniel's seventy week prophecy. Law and Gospel still apply.. I'd only see my sin from the Law..the time of being "under law's was a period from Moses til John the Baptist and was ended once Jesus came and completed his finished work. The "under the law" administration cannot return during the tribulation. ..it was an interlude

"....because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction...." All men have to repent of our sinful life's before we can have faith to come to Christ for salvation.
Carefully read what Jesus is saying in Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
What is the will of His Father that all men must repent of their sins.
    Matthew 4:17
    Matthew 3:2
    Acts 2:38,Acts 17:30.
If you haven't repented of your sinfulled life as Saul did then became the Apostle Paul then He will say "I never knew you"
This teaching claims that Jesus is talking to those that did works such as prophesying in thy name, casting out demons and other miricles. "A works based Salvation"
    Jesus is not double minded.
Those are all things we are to do as true repented believers.
    John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the (works) that I do shall (he do also;) and greater (works) than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
This teaching that faith alone and anything else is work therefore how you live is irrelevant is why Jesus says in verse 23 "You who work iniquity.
    John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
    Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
    Luke 6:46-49
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
    1 Peter 1:14-17 &23
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear. 23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

You have a nice collection of verses on the subject of Repentance. But have you considered who these different situations of repentance were written to, or when they were written and who was speaking?
Today man has given different definitions to Repentance than the meanings in the Bible. The self-explanatory general meaning is: to sorrowfully change the mind for past conduct.
Some people inaccurately define it as “turning away from your sin,” which is a work. We know there are no works required for Salvation. If this were correct why would this meaning sometimes be combined with the word repentance? Because it is a separate thing.
Others inaccurately define repentance as requiring penitent works. Again we don’t work for our salvation, it is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
In some instances it’s God showing repentance in Scripture. Here we see Him changing His mind concerning His dealings with a particular people. You should re-examine your verses in light of what I’ve said. They will become more clearer.
Does Salvation “include” Faith and Repentance? Absolutely.
Repentance is certainly part of the Salvation process. A person accepting the Gospel of Grace feels sorrowful for their past sin, and change their mind about their behavior going into the future. But they realize they are doomed for they can’t stop sinning because they are a child of Adam. No matter how many good things they might do they couldn’t possibly please God with any of them.
They then realize their need of a Savior and recognize Him as Jesus Christ. Only by God’s Grace through their Faith in what Jesus did, His death, burial, and resurrection, can they be forgiven and receive the righteousness of Christ. Christ did it ALL, we just believe it. Repentance comes with believing and trusting in Christ.
