@@user-ji4gq3ot5u They're talking about using it as contactless payment, not online shopping. Google stated pretty clearly that the feature is not available on iOS (most likely interference from Apple themselves because they want their users to use Apple Pay instead).
This seems a lot more normal than those other videos you guys uploaded about how to use RUclips 😂

Nice. Just switched from a Samsung phone to a Google phone and wanted to be sure I understood the payment system. Samsung Pay is nice and easy. Google Pay appears to be even easier.
I am so amazed to see that google pay is much different in other country rather than in India. Here we use only UPI 4 or 6 digits pin for transaction..no need of cards..and there is no wallet in gpay in Indian version
True. But you can add debit/credit card.
So you don't have to enter anything on the pin pad before you put your phone in front of the screen? or does the cashier have to do something? Like when you use credit and they have to hit credit on their screen before you can swipe

Is there a way to check which accounts you have google pay setup as your payment method?
When you open the app to use it, do you have tap on the card you want to use, or if you swipe over to the card you want to use without taping on the card will it work?

It’s not clear on the use at point of sale but only at the end dies it briefly mention you can add a card OR a bank account. Which is best? Which is more secure? What’s the difference?

My phone has Android 10, and there is no "NFC" setting. There is a "Nearby Share" setting, but in looking up both of these terms, they do not seem to relate. What to do? I tried to use it in store once, unsuccessfully, but I think I had mobile data turned off.

With Apple Pay is now accessible in Malaysia just recently, I really hope Google won't be so far behind to let Google Pay and Google Wallet become truly available and accessible in Malaysia too.
mobile wallet isn't the sole reason, it depends on BANK companies. They have to work a few stuff to allow contactless payment through mobile wallets as these are 3rd party
@@IwantToknow23 Yup. This why crypto adoption for payment with a stablecoin or crypto would much better as there would no need for permission of a middle man. Its totally between the customer and what the biller accepts as payment.

Payment History is not shown in Google Pay transaction history. I paid via credit card from Google Pay NFC.
I have a new Pixel 6 Pro and the NFC is temperamental. I unlock the phone hold it to the pos terminal and sometimes it either says unlock AGAIN and retry or other times it doesn't even communicate. I wrote a letter to Google and told them it's much easier for me to just pull out my Amex gold card, hold it up to the terminal and be done with it. This seems like a high tech solution to a low tech problem. It's a pain in the ass.

Can I use it on the computer? I want to tap the computer screen and make my payments so it already reads the CVV and all that information.
Does Google Pay scramble payment descriptions in my bank payment history? I'd wouldn't like that. I would like for the descriptions to be exactly as if I had used a regular debit card.

ok sorry for all the rude comments. I am 'a boomer' one of many who taught their kids how to use the bathroom and how to use a spoon and how to use the internet! I know how to transfer money from one account to another from the bank but I needed to know how to set up payment for online others to buy and sell purchases using google pay. SO THANK YOU for laying this out for me. No I'm not slow, I just didn't know how. I do google everything to find out how to do stuff. THANK YOU again for keeping it simple.

In India gpay uses UPI technology to make payments it only takes few seconds to make payment. You can send money to anyone from anywhere 😃
But than i realised that UPI is not available in usa than how gpay works there, that's why I came here to watch this video.

Why at some stores I can touch my phone and be on my way and then at other stores I touch my phone and then the terminal wants me to enter in my PIN????
This drives me crazy because it defeats the whole contactless payment if I have to touch the terminal to enter in my PIN
