Ngl I'm almost certain my cat is going to get close to the record, she is currently 19 and hasnt had a single trip to the vets and she still looks and acts like a kitten. She hasnt aged at all since she was 2 😂 All praise the immortal Dottie!

Just recently read an article about the first few decades of cyrogenics, and it seems a fate worse than death. Most of the capsules were not kept properly, thawed out and people in them just dissolved into a goop over the years. Some other's relatives did not want to pay the full price of upkeep after some years and the chose to keep only the heads. for some other that were properly preserved after examination it turned out the freezing process completely destroyed all tissues beyond any hope to repair, limbs fell off, bodies cracked open or in half. What I like to do is that every time I think about something I don't like or I want to sleep I just think about white , not a white wall or sheeps no , just white , and it actually helped me many times.

In current day Egypt we still have people similar to the Knocker-up’s you talked about. They wake people up during the month of Ramadan, so they could eat before the fasting of the day starts. They don’t knock on windows however, they wake people up by hitting something similar to a drum (idk what it’s called in English) and by announcing in a loud voice that it’s Suhoor time (the time to prepare for fast).
These people are called مسحراتي in Arabic.

fun fact: there were also sometimes knocker-upper knocker-uppers so the knocker-upper could wake everyone else up. also, sometimes instead of a long pole they used a long tube that acted as a blowgun, it "fired" dried peas.

Interesting historical fact, there was another sort of alarm that folks had made way back called the candle clock! They knew the amount of time it would take a candle to melt to certain points, and wedged nails into the wax at those points they wanted to be awoken. Once the candle melted down to that point the nail would fall into the metal holder below. Sometimes (probably often times for deeper sleepers) they would add multiple nails in short intervals for additional alarms!

Most thinking is actually caused by repressed emotions. Think of all the thoughts that come up about something you regret or someone you lost. When we let go of feelings and attachments, we find that , not only we naturally we have less thoughts, but also the quality of the thoughts changes, from more negative to more positive. Apparently it would be possible the let go of all feelings and to end up with almost no thoughts whatsoever (i don't know if that's possible though)

One I had since he was a kitten and so I'm pretty sure that he's about 5 and 1/2 years old.
The other I got recently. She is an old lady. Vets have put her age at around 7+ years to even about 10 years old. She deserves an pain free retirement at her golden age.

I used to have this problem. Then I learned how to turn off my brain. If you can't get your brain to stop daydreaming hand thinking then use it to your advantage. Daydream of total darkness and think of the silence in a library.... See how fast you'll fall asleep
My cat lived to 23 ❤. Fun fact. The Cairo museum is full of fake mummfied cats. They xrayed them and although shaped like cats wrapped up. They were monkeys positioned that way or saw dust. They also have mummfied crocodiles.
