  • Gender-based violence in South Africa is increasing at an alarming rate, which makes it one of the world's most unsafe places for women. We talk to survivors of domestic abuse and rape to find out how South African society needs to change.

Wow! What an important conversation 😢. I take my hat off to each person who had the courage to speak so openly about such a sensitive topic.

Thank you for this important video - suffering endured by women - violence done by men. I am so impressed by the women in this video, how they got through it, speak about it!
I'm so glad society is changing to make this epidemic visible.
Also Kudos to the man in the video, the men need to break the cycle of toxic masculinity.

A good way to end the year....
Heading into 2021, God Willing, I'm expecting more goodies from you DW AFRICA just as you've presented us with over the years....
I appreciate your efforts in liberating and educating millions all around the globe.
I have faith in your knowledge, insightful analysis and competence.
Issues like WHY AND HOW ARE AFRICAN NATIONS AND BLACK NATIONS POOR? WHY ARE AFRICAN NATIONS BEDEVILED BY TERRORISM, CONFLICTS AND VIOLENCE? WHY AFRICAN NATIONS DON'T TRADE WITHIN THEMSELVES? WHY ARE WE IMPORTING WHAT WE SHOULD BE GROWING? WHY IS IT THAT IN SPITE OF ALL OUR RESOURCES WE'RE STILL DOWN AND OUT? also need to be discussed.
Wishing you a wonderful and fruitful new year (in advance)from Nigeria....
    God bless you all.

As a man I'm really ashamed and enraged that there are men who rape women and treat that as a game.
Those who hurt a woman so severely don't deserve to live.Including the women that put their peers into such a situation.

UK also has a big problem with Gender based violence so does France and other European countries. We don't need to run from our Countries but I think all Africans in the diaspora need to start building organisations and homes of Saftey in their Countries instead of the useless big cars they brag about in their African countries once they make some money overseas.

@@MrDanielfff777 Last year, it was estimated that 1.6 million women in England and Wales were victims of domestic abuse, you can do your research, yes most people in the diaspora think bragging with cars and labelled clothes means they have made it abroad.
