This trick is a lot similar to the trick call Roll done with dice which took me a week to construct and ended up messing up about 15 to 20 cards to finally getting it right but living in Las Vegas the dice and cards fit right in. I just Love your channel and have used some of the tricks myself.

Very nice. This reminds me quite a bit of Chris Congreaves' Di-Ception it is now being released by Alakazam as Roll. I own Di-Ception.
Different execution but similar feel. I love tricks where it first seems that the magician screwed up. Well done. I think I'm going to make a deck up. And you're right this is a lot easier to do than you might think.

Hi Rob, I've just checked out the trick you mention, It does appear very similar, although in all honestly I've never seen that before. It looks quite good. Good luck with this deck, and try not to screw this one up LoL. Cheers Mate.

I am not sure who you are. This is only the third video (second trick) of yours, I have had the privilege of viewing. The first was the two part Bart Harding Stack. I suspect that may be your name and that this Scribbler as well as the previous stack are both inventions of your own. I am very impressed. I made a spreadsheet of the Harding stack which reveals many other possible uses not otherwise immediately apparent. It, like this stack, is very versatile. Your thinking, if as I suspect it is your own, is brilliantly ingenious. If not yours, your explanations and presentations are also clearly well thought out and presented with the same level of ingenuity, clarity, and style. I cannot compliment or thank you enough.

Thank you very much for the kind works. Unfortunately the Bart Harding stack is not my own.. It was actually by someone called Bart Harding and revealed in 1962 in Abra magazine. The Scribbler is my own effect, although some people have suggested its similar to a commercial trick (one that I've not seen!). Glad you enjoy the magic.

I'm curious about one aspect of this, and that is the two numbers the spectator needs to jot down. You state to write down 2 single digit numbers, and in your explanation you state that the lowest value could be 3 (2+1) or a high of 17 (9+8), but in reality it could be 2 (1+1) and 18 (9+9). Have you experienced this when performing? To make your patter that the spectator needs to write 2 different single digit numbers would seem fishy, and needing to use two different single digit numbers also prevents you from performing this for two spectators (they could write the same number down) - you can't tell one spectator to pick a different number since that would also seem fishy. Can you enlarge the stack by a little to accommodate this scenario?
Also, maybe if the spectator writes the same digit, and you expand the stack by 1 (so instead of starting the stack at position 3, you start it at position 2) and the user writes the same number twice you just take the value of the 2 added numbers, unless it's 9, in which case you just use 9. I think if you are performing this for 2 spectators and they both write 9, this makes the trick even stronger. Hope this makes sense.

I agree about the number thing you suggest, but I find that by saying to the spectator to write 2 single digit numbers that differ actually appears like it makes the number even more random. Alternatively, as mentioned I'm guessing you could do away with the number part and just get them to pick a card (from the stack). Thanks for the ideas, really appreciate it.

I love this one, it's a stunning effect. It's a bit of a giveaway that I'm working stuff out when it comes to the reveal because I'm slow with the CHSD-2 but it doesn't detract. Very impressive, thank you. I love the tricks you are teaching.
You mention in the post tutorial spiel that you welcome requests for specific tricks, and I've got just such a request. How does The Sacred Rhianna force a specific photo card choice on Mel B in her AGT appearance here?
    ruclips.net/video/kzEQNDNaSXA/видео.html
She appears to randomly place 8 or so Victorian photos in front of Mel B and then Mel B picks the card which Rhianna has set up for the second part of the trick. I've been trying to figure it out and many people think that she has the trick set up with any of the variations of photo Mel B could pick however that's NOT the case because the Instax Polaroid camera Rhianna uses (I have the same camera) can NOT be set up to allow selection of any one of a number of images, only ONE double image can be set up ready beforehand to do the double exposure.
Hope you can work this one out or that you know the method of force selection she used!

Thanks for the comments. The trick you mention is another TV highly edited with camera angles not covering what we want to view! We know that unless something was edited out the name Bob was not forced. I would like to see this performed on one more occasion so a comparison can be made. There didn't appear to be the force, so she had numerous newspaper prints with the other names, and the camera capable of superimposing a number of different people. I did notice she turned the lens before taking picture, these cameras are pretty much point & shoot types! Was she turning so Bob was in the frame! Because this is probably the only performance she has done of this we'll never know. If you find another performance of this trick by her let me know, it'll solve everything, LoL!!!

@@totallymagic Thanks very much for your fast reply. So... I have the exact same camera so I know it's not possible to have it set up for double exposure with any of the multiple faces, only with one. In point of fact actually even doing the double exposure thing involves a physical frig with the camera back. That's why I believe it to be a force. I take on board what you say about multi camera etc. but I worked in TV as a vision engineer from '75 to last December so I got kind of used to spotting even quite subtle edits and again I didn't see any evidence of that. This is why I am so stumped - lets face it, the double exposure aspect is rather obvious. I think she also did the same trick on another Got Talent - I think she was on Asia, Britain and America. I shall have to try to find another example. The cards she used are from a commercial trick - I've managed to buy them, although any old Victorian pics will do.
I'm still stumped! Cheers and keep up the good work, we love it!!
