    109^2. 109+9=118 1st part. 9*9=81 2nd part. Ans=11881. Using 100 as base. 212^2. (212+12)*2=448 1st part. 12*12=144 2nd part (only 2 digits so carry to 1st part, Ans 44944. (Using 2*100 as base). 1st part is multiplied by 2 as base is 2*100. Similarly for 3 digit numbers beginning with 3,4,5 etc. multiply 1st part by the first digit as base will be 1st digit *100.

    I have a doubt you have explained the roots for 3 digit numbers with a simple trick but when how are you deciding that exactly 22 should be subracted nd added from 378 is any logic or just random because it's really a bit confused. So, I hope you vl clarify it sir 🤗

      Not just random number.
      To decide the closest perfect square to the given number, you should be able to find the square of 2-digit numbers mentally.

    • @nammalwarthiruvengadam2925
      @nammalwarthiruvengadam2925 2 года назад

      @@tanmayeechavan9605
      378=400-22
      378^2={400-22)^2
      =400^2//2*400*22//22^2 (a^2-2ab+b^2)
      Solving the above equation we get the answer.This is long process.
      My method of calculation is detailed below.
      =1600-2*4*22//22^2
      =1600-176//484
      =1424+4//84
      =1428 84
      This calculation can be done mentally if you know the square of numbers up to 25.
      Nearest 100s to the given number 378 is 400. The difference is 22.Please bear in mind that the teacher has not chosen 22, but 400,i.e. nearest 100s.
      Another example is given below.
      789^2=?
      Nearest 100 is 800.
      789 is 11 less than 800.
      So 789^2=(800-11)^2
      =6400-2*8*11//11^2
      =6400-176//121
      =6224//121
      =6224+1//21
      =6225 21
      I hope this helps you.
      My earlier remarks is pertaining to finding the square root of non-perfect 3 or 4 digit numbers, for which you need to mentally know the square of of the nearest perfect square.
      Example:
      Square root of 2312=?
      23 lies between 4^2and 5^2.
      Hence 10s digit of square root must be 4.
      Now you need to know the nearest perfect square to determine the unit digit of the square root.
      Nearest perfect square is 48^2 (2304).
      2312=2304+8
      Now root of 2312=48^2+8
      =48+8/(2*48)
      =48+1/12
      =48+0.08333...
      =48.083
      Hope this helps you.

      I actually got 100/100 in maths tests (and 97 in exams) without even knowing the multiplication from 11 to 20. This won't help you a lot in school.
