bhaiya...can u plz quench a query of mine... i recently hv qualified for jrf...& am planning to apply at IITD...if i get selected, & am given a hostel, according to rule i wont get my HRA...but will i still hv to pay hostel fees??? & what about hostel vacancies????last sem IITD didnt give hostels to many phd students...plz reply thanx!
Yes brother you wont get HRA. And due to several issues you will not get hostel initially, so you will have to wait. And this is the most expensive hostel for which extra 15k is going to be charged for AC. But if you get the hostel somehow you will have to pay the hostel fees and you will not get HRA. However, you can easily get 5k-6k room near IIT Delhi.

Wahi toh. Mujhe lagta h ki ye internet mobile data se hi use karte h.... waise vi 3rd tier colleges me btech walo ko (ham jaise logo ko) hostel me facilities ke naam par room and washroom hi milta h, aur ham hostel me bas ye dekhte h ki room rehne layak h ya nahi.... 🤣

bro which hostel is allotted to freshers as I have been aloted iit Delhi in councling for tech
You will be most probably be alloted hostels such as Zanskar, Kumaon etc but not the newly constructed ones.
