I love libraries in homes. I have a library in my home, and I swear I never have enough book shelves. All are beautiful libraries. In the library of Ms Bettie Bearden Pardee has beautiful paneling. She states it is Honduran mahoghany. It is beautiful. In library #5 I loved the portrait of herself (Victoria Leiter Mele) . It is absolutely beautiful. It looks like her. In library #4 I loved the velcro'd Roman shades. In library #3 I love the chandelier lights and the James Lamancha paintings. The black lacquered desk is beautiful also. Library #2 with Libby Cameron is sooo quaint. I love the tall giraffee. Her animal prints she collects are too cute. Last, but not least, #1- the library of Teddie Garrigan was a beautiful library. Your editors hand picked great choices. Thanks for sharing.
Yes. I am making my home a library,. an art gallery, and a conservatory: lots of books, lots of art, lots of plants. I want to see homes with lots of these things.
I must confess to some disappointment that a show purported to be about libraries was anything but. What about the books? Plenty of paintings and some lovely studies (I particularly liked the lady and her animal prints) but as to the books - the camera whizzed past them with nary a moment to even read the spines!
The Jersey was mine, I miss it. I remember when she disappeared. I never knew what happened to her. Thank you for letting me know. Back in the 70s, we did stupid shit,, sorta.
İn my opinion, the most valuable thing in a house is it’s library and books.Than come the paintings. Thank you so much... 🍾🥂 PS: Sorry for my English.😞
Love the half shells and estate sells are the best. The rice field silk is excellent, mine is in blues. My animal moment is I have to vacuum my fabrics daily cuz my 5 dogs 2 cats lounge like a call girl while I am at work.
Not all of the homes were identified. What is the home #2? (The one with the cat box in the corner). I’m curious as to whom the original owner was (who was being referenced).
Too much light for books destroys the artful covers, but it is wonderful to 'Flip' on preserving the designs and color of a tapestry rug; keeping it in the dark.
Yes, we found natural light and pets highly destructive to our book/collections and artwork. Turning the rug over is questionable for preserving the rug...Interesting look however.. We have sunny rooms with pets and the books are safely boxed and artwork behind museum glass.
Disappointed! I love Homeworthy and look forward to each video. In the past I've watched the episodes which contain these 'libraries' and by the intro I was expecting to see (possibly new) videos of exceptional library rooms. A few books does not a library make. Calling Teddie Garrigan's husband's room a library, as nice as it is, does not qualify it as a 'library' IMHO. Not up to Homeworthy's standard excellent job. Suzy

Love all these rooms but Libby Cameron's home is one of my very favorites and her library is a dream! Thanks so much for your videos.
Did you happen to hear the maker of the towels she showed in the full video? They were beautiful.

I totally agree… I would have loved to see libraries of bookworms and bibliophiles..
Lol same
I agree yet I was inspired by what was shown
So true. I only saw offices and living rooms.
The mirror crystal balls give the illusion of light…I love it
I love the coral library and I love the light green library and such charming hosts!
YES, PLEASE!!!! Keep 'em coming. 😎📚👍

More about “things”, than books!

Your English is brilliant ❤

Aside from your beautiful home, I love your giggles!
Nice offices. Agree with others not necessarily libraries.
thanks ! everything is ok but No. 6 beauty!
Rooms with books are not libraries unless you actually read the books, then they are just a hangout room that happen to have books.
I agree. Books are being used as ornaments, as decor nowadays…
LOVE that first gal, so classy and stylish! Kimberly
You showed a beautiful library in the beginning
Closure: Granddad finally knows what happened to his jersey cow print that was leaning against the barn for decades until 1974.
😂😂😂
So she stoled it ??🤔🤔
Don't find it funny .
Yep. It's the old 'that's nice. I think I'll take it.'
😖😂😂

OK, I'm sold. I now want a library and not an office
Make it a library with an office!
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Last one most interesting.

These arent libraries
❤❤😍❤️❤️
Vintage Mahogany paneling? Swoon.
🙌🏾
This is disappointing… libraries = books, not knick knacks
Imagine being a young boy going to rug auctions
