To make the reverse camera work automatically when the gear is in reverse, you need to connect the red wire that is with the video cable (yellow) to plus of reverse line that's power the camera, then at the other end of the video cable the red wire should be connected to the wire marked reverse. it is with the power connector, sometimes its brown.
Great video, very helpful so far, thanks! Can I ask how you managed to connect the red and black wires into the connector at 10:30 in the video? I'm really struggling to release the wires from the connector.
The link in the description takes me to the A1 model with 1GB+32GB, 4-Core 1.3GHz. Is the A1 model the one in the video or did you get one of the more powerful ones that appear in the same listing?
Actually the link must just be a generic link for all the models as the one that shows when you follow the link is for left hand drive cars so it can’t be the one in the video
Thanks allot guys making this beautiful video. Please let me khow if you’ve sorted out the automation of reverse cam as it was being opened manually from the LCD.
You connected the reverse camera to the front camera connection on the head unit (FCAM). There should be another connector for reverse usually (RCAM), then it would automatically turn on when you switch to reverse.
@@diycustomz2358 I am lying on my back torches everywhere, cant see these other two 8mm screws anywhere. I have the firs screw and the second 2 screws off no problem, just cant even see the other 2!
My mistake, from your video I thought there was the middle screw, 2 side screws and then 2 8mm bolts. I realise now there is just the middle screw and 2 side screws. The panel is so tightly attached I thought there must be some other fixings but in the end I just prised it out after removing those 3 screws.

You didn't show the steps this brother is mentioning, in your video. You sure you've covered all the steps he mentioned? @@ahmeduddin46
Thank you very much for this brother. In my case that trigger wire for the reverse was pink.

Also, did you connect the black wire from the cam socket to the black wire of the reverse light to ground it?
