As a gaming enthusiast, I could care less about Netflix games because I don’t go to Netflix for games, I go to Netflix for shows and movies. Especially when those games are supposed to be mobile games. Nothing against mobile games. I play quite a few, and I enjoy some Apple Arcade titles but would rather pay for them individually versus the subscription price. But given these games already exist, you just need to have a Netflix account to access them completely, I don’t feel like they’re doing anything special, and I don’t think they’re going to do anything special with it. Especially the lack of promotion. I want to be more open minded, but after Stadia, I can’t say my confidence is very high
I couldn't agree more and I don't think netflix has done anything new during any of their price hikes and that is why I downgraded to their lowest subscription.
@@Wedeemgaming I quit giving them my money. They offer absolutely nothing new for the price hikes, so they lost a high paying customer and possibly more once people realize they're paying more for the same exact thing with no new added features.
I mean I’m by no means a huge gamer but I really enjoyed stadia, it allowed me to play games like destiny on my laptop from 2013, not for hard core gamers but it opens up the availability for people I think

I think Netflix will launch mostly movies/series tie-in games. In that case, they should offer something quite interesting to entice people in getting those games. One example: "watch the new season of Stranger Things and unlock extra content in the official game"
I was like "this is stupid, I don't care" but then I saw they had a remaster of the PS3 game Shatter and now I've been playing that a lot because Shatter is good as hell and that soundtrack is amazing.
I don't really care too much for these games, but what really rubs me the wrong way about this is that they're taking content off of their service, presumably because of the money they spent on this. I would rather have more movies and shows come with my subscription than a handful of mediocre casual mobile games.
No mention of the fact that Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode is on there? The interactive content is where they miss their mark to promote this games thing. Netflix is known for flix, on the net. This isn't embracing that all too well.
I just don't know about the idea of Netflix getting into gaming ,what they've done now is like the smallest of baby steps. I think we're likely to see a Crunchyroll integration with PlayStation or their PlayStation Plus service or whatever before Netflix becomes any kind of a viable threat to any of the big game companies or Sony Microsoft and Nintendo. We are good ways off before Netflix poses any kind of threat to anyone in the gaming space.
I finally decided to downgrade my Netflix account... I just got tired of them upping the price, claiming they were adding more premium content and there never being anything good to really watch. I watch RUclips, Hulu and HBO more. Adding games won't push me to go back to the top subscription!
@@tachilunas6040 I was pretty much talking about the movies! Either way true but most of the content being put out was crap at least for me so I cancelled. I just want it where I can opt out of Netflix gaming and those who just want the basic structure of Netflix still get prices back to where they were several years back. Cuz I want multiple screens, but not for $25, give me back like idk $11.99 or something for 2 scenes.
ive been using netflix games for a bit and i really like it, it adds a new way to play actual games and i think they’ll properly announce it when cloud gaming comes. It just seems like the logical next step for netflix as a company.
