It’s only a slash of pieces of letters, a evolution of the beggining, they’re was like teenagers, of course, people will never forgot the past till Fallen. Amy said many times, if her cant write about pain, things that happend, losses, pov of her about something, she only produces if aas with her heart, things who inspire her from completely. Ben dont think the same way in that time, he wanted numbers, sell millions of records, audience, (i dont know how ways about this works to him about all that trough 21 ago till now, everything changes, Amy’s changes, the integrants changes, the industry, the label… changes trough all this time, but, even if this way seems a easy form to raises trough the ashes, have a famous band, thinking so higher in $. colab with productors, change the original genre, sound of band, lyrics not written by then, is not so pure like Amy, they don't remember, if dont wasnt Amy's voice in this album or ever song that both and David wrote together, WITHOUT a magnificent voice like Amy’s have, Evanescence doesn't t be where they are till now! This is obvious from his next "We Are The Fallen"(TEAR THE WORLD DOWN) record the direction he wanted to give. His next band was more truth to "Evanescense" than the band itself and their record better than anything "Ev" has produced after "FALLEN". Amy wanted to change the unique sound that made them famous worldwide! She firstly made Hodges and then Moody leave the band due to her huge EGO! I remember that time back then, Moody & Hodges had made a NEW MUSICAL GENRE!Without this INSANE MUSIC Amy wouldn't have become famous!
No matter what others might say about this song. Know one thing. This song has emotions. The pain and suffering while writing is a battle and hardship to the one creating beautiful work such as this. Honestly. Listening in 2021. I love Evanescence and Amy but Ben made the sound. Fallen is the best album I've ever heard and you can hear his writing style all over it and I honestly miss it sm. A true talent in the world
the story of this song is so sad. I mean, it's one thing to write a song about a bad breakup- yeah, like we haven't heard that before(taylor swift)- but two people who were best friends almost from childhood, having such a huge falling out- it's just tragic.

Well, I am thinking that this is the right place to write my feelings about all whats happened there- Yeah, I know, its very old story and probably the original form of the old Ev would never be the same again, but 'Fallen' was my first time that I was falling in love with a band and such a perfect songs so fast ( Happy 18th birthday btw). Well, even after fallen era I've always keep listening to your and David's solo projects and of course Ev'new stuff since then and I love all of these!! Fallen has always a special place in my heart (like many other fans I'm guessing..). So thanks for all of you, three super talnted- for opening this great door to a fantastic music.
Moody is a very talented musician and songwriter and I feel like he should have made more music of his own the past few years, I mean, he's made a name for himself for being the founder of Evanescence and if that doesn't speak volumes about his amazing musical skills, then I don't know what else does!

So amy and Ben were never in a relationship they were best friends broken in two due to creative differences and now evanescence has truly died because of the fact that he left the band and he left the band not only because of creative differences it was more than that he felt that all amy lee cared about was fame and that amy lee was blind to the fact that she is letting the fame get to her and that she wanted all the credit of writing the songs to herself rather than sharing it with Ben like how it should have been frim the beginning

They are still selling out shows worldwide and even have an album coming out this year. Ben did have a problem with Amy getting the spotlight more, but that wasn't why he left. He left because he couldn't get her to leave and he got physical with her in an argument they had over it. I don't know of one instance when she didn't give credit to a writer on one of their songs.
I like Evanescence. I like We Are The Fallen. I like Amy Lee. I like Ben Moody. They have both given me such awesome and wonderful music and I'm grateful to them BOTH. I think everyone here needs to step away from their keyboards and remember they weren't there, so they don't know what happened.

Aaand Amy released songs about him too... he's on his right of suffering and writing/singing stuff about it. And he does it well!

Ya a estas alturas deberían olvidar sus problemas pasados de mas de casi 18 años y volver a mostrar el poder de ellos juntos. La banda de Rata Blanca al separarse de Adrian Barilari ya no sonaban igual y a pesar de estar peleados tantos el vocalista como el lider de la banda Walter Giardino, cuando un dia les toco hacer una reunion conmemoracion de la banda a la fuerza en 2001, habian llenado el estadio mostrando asi su publico que ellos eran la BANDA y asi fue como ellos volvieron a perdonarse y a olvidar sus problemas y diferencias pasadas y hoy son la mejor banda de latino america y de Argentina con una trayectoria de mas de 30 años. Ojala algun dia pase lo mismo con amy y ben.

The fact that this reached 129k over the years tells me that if he had just kept doing this...just kept going then he'd be getting millions of views easily. I think he made these videos and expected instant mass popularity like Evanescence, and when it didn't happen, he gave up. On RUclips it's all about sticking with it and regularly releasing content...I mean he started this in 2012. Most people who started ANYTHING in 2012 and kept posting consistently for at least a couple years ARE HUGE NOW, and his content is better than most of theirs. It's not too late either...he could still pick up where he left off and do more stuff like this. I know it would work.
Erika Grissel I know I'm late but it's because she got married and it took a while longer to release their self titled album and she wanted to let the fans know they were coming back from what I've heard.
Evan was the child of Ben and Amy it "contained" their souls and something more which made it so great, it was more than fukcin' good music. On 22nd Oct 2003 the couple had split and Evanescence has died ...that magic remained only in their old songs and the souls of their real fans (not of fanboys/girls). The band from that date was only a stage for Amynescence and nothing more.
@enelbc04 This album came out quiet recently and some of the songs were written in 2003 and 2004,this one is pretty much 8 or 9 years old. It's just released now as part of the album.
@American Ancap She didn't "run off" on anyone. She did fire two members because (at least according to her) they didn't love the band and viewed it only as a job. Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't, we'll never know for sure. But that was nearly 20 years ago so people need to get over it. The "new" band members have been part of Evanescence longer than the "original" band members ever were, with Terry Balsamo quitting the band for health reasons. They still remain good friends with him. And this was 6 years ago.
The Ben moody should be making more music. My soul needs it.

La banda de Rata Blanca al separarse de Adrian Barilari ya no sonaban igual y a pesar de estar peleados tantos el vocalista como el lider de la banda Walter Giardino, cuando un dia les toco hacer una reunion conmemoracion de la banda a la fuerza en 2001, habian llenado el estadio mostrando asi su publico que ellos eran la BANDA y asi fue como ellos volvieron a perdonarse y a olvidar sus problemas y diferencias pasadas y hoy son la mejor banda de latino america y de Argentina con una trayectoria de mas de 30 años.

@@hackysackdude120 You should listen to "The Last Song I'm Wasting on You" and you'll hear some of it. He got physical with her about the direction of the band and tried to get her to quit. She declined because she felt it was a part of her and he held her down screaming at her (at the very least).

The fact that this reached 129k over the years tells me that if he had just kept doing this...just kept going then he'd be getting millions of views easily. I think he made these videos and expected instant mass popularity like Evanescence, and when it didn't happen, he gave up. On RUclips it's all about sticking with it and regularly releasing content...I mean he started this in 2012. Most people who started ANYTHING in 2012 and kept posting consistently for at least a couple years ARE HUGE NOW, and his content is better than most of theirs. It's not too late either...he could still pick up where he left off and do more stuff like this. I know it would work.

Evan was the child of Ben and Amy it "contained" their souls and something more which made it so great, it was more than fukcin' good music. On 22nd Oct 2003 the couple had split and Evanescence has died ...that magic remained only in their old songs and the souls of their real fans (not of fanboys/girls). The band from that date was only a stage for Amynescence and nothing more.

@American Ancap She didn't "run off" on anyone. She did fire two members because (at least according to her) they didn't love the band and viewed it only as a job. Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't, we'll never know for sure.
But that was nearly 20 years ago so people need to get over it. The "new" band members have been part of Evanescence longer than the "original" band members ever were, with Terry Balsamo quitting the band for health reasons. They still remain good friends with him. And this was 6 years ago.
