No one bought endor and DS2 was at the end so short run but now these cards are expensive and very collectible and sought after. Even some uncommons brings in a good price..

If you lose in lotto you can’t get your money back unless you spend more, but with sports cards they will still hold some value depending on the pack and pull. So even if you lose with sports cards you can still get back partial money.

If you "win" with sportscards, you have a prize that only people in the hobby recognize and know the relative value of, and to cash in on it, you will almost always have to part with some of that value through auction, grading fees, selling it to a dealer for less than comps or some combination of all three. You are still on the hook for taxes.
