Yea..dawn works very well, but if it does not come out after a cpl if washes I’ve found using “LA’s totally Awesome” liquid cleaner works great too. You can buy it at the dollar and a quarter store..lol. I spray some of that on the greasy part of the garment with some dawn dish soap, let it soak for a day or two then wash..sometimes it may take two washes to come out. I have been able to salvage a lot of clothes using this method!

I just lost my 96 year old grandmother on January 6th. She was the best grandmother anyone could ask for. I saw her a couple of weeks ago and went I left, she cried and said "what if I never get to see you again?" I hugged her and said "Grandmama, you know where to meet me". I have been writing letters to my grandmother since I was in college and have many that I intentionally left unopened when I realized that I wouldn't always have her. I miss her so much. And I am 48 so it is a huge loss to me bc she lived with us when I was growing up. I am unfortunately at the age where I have realized that my parents and others are not going to be around forever. It's a hard age for that reason. I am sorry for the loss of your father.

Happy new year! I saw Alexis’s vlog where she checked on the cats and commented that it was so sweet of her to do that - I love both of your content 😊
I’m really excited about 2025, in April last year I left a job I loved to go for a more senior position. I thought it was all going well, only ever had positive feedback but after 5 months, I went into my normal Monday meeting with my manager and she told me I was being let go. Totally blindsided and humiliated I left that day. Weeks of job searching, worried I would not be able to pay my mortgage, my mental health took a kicking but I finally started a new job in November. It’s going so well and I am really happy there. More money and the senior position I wanted, I get on so well with all my colleagues I actually enjoy going to work and look forward to Monday’s! I’ve never started a new year in this frame of mind, feeling positive! Sorry for the long post, but I haven’t actually said this to anyone and it feels great to get it out!
Lots of love to you and the cats and wish you an amazing 2025 - I will stay tuned! 😊❤

I am a PRO at grease stains because I have EVOO salad dressing on literally everything I own 😜 Dawn dish soap! Put a dot on. Rub it in with your finger. Wait 10-15 mins. Rinse it out with water. Wash like normal. It’s also crucial not to dry your clothes until you know the stain is officially out. So just hang dry until then. ❤

The dish soap should still wok - it’s meant to do the dirty on greasy dishes, right? I think in the US they recommend Dawn, here in NL we use Dreft and in the UK I always had a bottle of Fairy Liquid on hand. And no giggling about the name, the Brits have always been …. Eccentric 😝 it’s why I fit in there so well, hahaha

Hi Chelsea! Although it may not work fully as you already washed it but add any form of powder (foot or baby) on each stain, like a lot and allow it to sit for almost a day in sunlight and that should soak up the oil and do this as many times as you need and that should do the trick. This works best when oil stain is fresh. Best of luck!

All u do is take any kind of concentrated laundry detergent pour it directly over the stain area (saturate it well) let it sit overnight and then throw it in a very hot washer and it should come right out but it needs sit at least 8 to 12 hours. I've done this with all of my kids stuff my things and I cook a lot and it always works! I usually use ALL concentrated.

Deli laying there with her arms in the air at 21:04 - what a lil' poppet!
Glad you had a lovely time at your Mom's.
My Dad died 6th Jan 2016, and every year we visit to lay a wreath on his grave and have a big family meal together, but this year snow storms stopped us visiting. Soon, though.

Grease on the skirt- first try to let it sit overnight with blue Dawn dish soap on every part of the stain. Then try washing that
If that doesn’t work- try sprinkling (I douse it heavily) with baby powder all over the grease and leave it for a day
    Then wash
If it still doesn’t work, no idea

Dish soap for that grease stain! I had something similar happen on one of my dresses and after about 3 washes with spot treatment and then dish soap spot treatment I got them all out. Good luck and Happy New Year!

    HI 👋 welcome back
Glad you had such a great time with family and friends
For me, it never ever gets easier leaving my Kitties even though my daughter and granddaughters take the most excellent care of them and they give me frequent updates.
    Happy New Year 🎉

Typically, I'm a silent viewer, but I feel like I owe you a heart felt thank you.
Remember the show "Everybody Has A Story" by Steve Hartman? I used to love that show as a kid, and it still resinates with me today; everyone truly does have a story.
I have found so much peace in following other single gal's in their 30's while my friends are married, and having kids. I love that for them, but having community that is in a similar life stage has felt like the best hug ever. And, let's be honest, you are a leader on that front. So much so, I decided this summer, I also wanted to record my story, and save memories along the way also. I got to recording, but ultimately chickened out.... until, my Godson was murdered on September 29th. And that was it, the final push, to preserve the moments and people in my life that tell my story. And so, through grief, I've sorted through clips and attempted to put together my first two videos. Today, while pulling up clips for my third vlog, there is was, B-Roll footage of me talking to my God-son, the last phone call I ever had with him. Obviously, I sobbed.
Ultimately, my first two videos are a bit of a mess, but I'm learning. J-Cuts, L-Cuts, Story Boarding.... It's all a lot right now. That doesn't matter. What matters? Everybody has a story.
Thank you for being raw, and real, and most importantly, an inspiration.

Awe wow this is so kind of you to write. I'm so sorry for your loss :( It's so special and healing to take little recorded moments and make something of it to remember chapters of your life, good and bad. I'm horrendous at answering dm's these days, but when you finish the video would love to see it if you're willing to send to me I'll keep an eye out for it ❤ much love to a fellow single 30-something xx

Yey, you're back 🎉. I hope you had a peaceful and restful break. Oh, and try Dish soap for the grease mark on your skirt. Just dap on the area till it's foamy, then rinse. It's a tip I had to used when I got grease on my jeans on a trip away. Worked a treat 😊.

  •  15 дней назад +4

Im so glad the kitties were okay.
I left my 2 kitties for the 1st time in 6 yrs for NYC Marathon 2024 for 3 nites. I had a lovely neighbor and coworker checking in on them a couple times a day and feeding them. But they were traumatized. Even the friendly one was hiding under the bed.
My neighbor said she didn’t think that one of them even existed because she didn’t see him the whole time . I felt so bad.
I went into NYC for New Year’s Eve just for the night. The New Year’s Eve midnight run was canceled because of lightning. But that’s OK. I got a credit towards another race this year.
Most importantly, I got the feeders that I use. I’ve never tried feeders before, but I bought a couple from Amazon. I hate reading instructions so I was just winging it. One of them worked and the other one didn’t open.
But it was only one night so they were okay. But yeah, it is really stressful leaving them alone.
    Anyway, welcome back!🗽😻😻
Happy New Year to you Gordo & Deli! 🎉I’ll be im NYC again for my b-day in late March. Can’t wait.

Chelsea!!! Hi! Again, Happy New Year! Welcome back! Welcome home! All the things! : ) You were missed, Girl! And, Gordo & Deli are EVERYTHING! So, so precious! Thank you for sharing them with us! [insert heart emoji here - LOL] Loved today's video! I especially love your comments at the end. Yes, I agree, productivity is too romanticized. I'll focus on taking daily, consistent, inspired action toward my goals this year. For now, it's doing at least 15 minutes of yoga a day, practicing mindfulness, and I think that's it for now. LOL I too feel like "slowing down" and "hibernating" a bit SO more power to us in the new year as we take it one day at a time! Love you, Girl! Be well! See you next time! ; )
