I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and this kosher food has invoked more memories of your past in New York than any other food you have eaten I’m enjoying this very much
I remember Jewish soldiers volunteering to take KP and Guard duty on Christmas and Easter so the Gentiles could celebrate the holiday. Always thought it was a wonderful gesture.
Hi Danny I’m new to your channel. I’ve been enjoying your videos and always look forward to watching them. This was a great video I had no idea there were restaurants that had a Hanukkah menu that is great! Thanks for another great video
: ) WOW ! I have not had Jewish food t all, but the Brisket looked SO GOOD!! Yummmm ! Thanks much for sharing, ENJOY ! ALL the BEST, and Cheers ! ! ! : )
I love Siegel's 1941! I know you aren't much for vegetables but I believe they have the best wedge salad that I've had in forever! We stay at El Cortez every time in Vegas.
Nothing quite like Matzo Ball Soup, Chopped Chicken Livers on Celery, Hot Pastrami on Rye with Mustard, Crunchy Kosher Dill Pickle, Potato Latkes and Dr Brown's Cream Soda!😋
Wow, I learned a bit about Jewish customs from Danny the Medic, who could have predicted that. I had only ever met 1 Jewish person in my life, at my work and he never talked about anything Jewish.
Also know that there are different ways of being Jewish, Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox. Reform and Conservative Jews don't have alarms that tell us that the Sabbath is starting and we can drive.
I think that maybe when they cooked the latke they may have cooked it where they just cooked a sweet pancake (chocolate chip?) and that was left on the griddle so the potato pancake which doesn't have any sweet ingredients at all in it, tasted weird because of how/ where they cooked it. Just a guess.
Seigel’s is first and foremost a gourmet steakhouse. El Cortez should reopen their coffee shop. They are spending a lot of $$ in 2025 to elevate the casino. Why stop at a coffee shop ; just add a downtown buffet to compete with MSS. Sadly, they only serve dinner on the weekends.
Happy Chanukah Danny “The Kosher” Medic!!! Three course meal for $24.95 is pretty good. DTM never leaves home without his players card. Can you also get a veterans discount? Who knew DTM was part Jewish 🤷♂️
I had never had Jewish food before; it looked delicious. The story about stopping their cars was news to me, so I thought about it, and I saw a movie about people not riding their horses until sunset. "The Frisco Kid"
Thank you so much for making this video and for asking as to the kashrut status of the food/restaurant. I regret to inform you that Seigel's is NOT a kosher restaurant. It might be kosher "style" but to be a genuinely glatt kosher restaurant, it has to be under the proper rabbinical supervision, which this is not. The only glatt kosher meat restaurants in the las vegas area are Tikva’s Grill, Burnt Offerings, Arissa, Jerusalem Chefs Table, Judit Mediterranean Cuisine, Shawarma Paradise, Shawarma Paradise. So again, Siegel's is NOT kosher. But I genuinely appreciate you caring as to whether it was and making a video about their hannukah menu. I also enjoy and appreciate your videos.
To the non-Jews out there: "Matzah-ball soup" is a thin chicken soup with a dumpling made of ground unleavened bread (matzah). Challah bread is a rich bread made with butter - quite similar to French brioche bread. A latke is a pancake made of shredded potato held together with egg and a little flour. Brisket is beef from the chest of a cow which is braised for hours to make it tender - I prefer smoked brisket instead.
I make the best Kugel, but not to be eaten with meat! Buggsy was Jewish. Kosher, I don't think they could afford to use kosher meat at those prices, if it is, it's a bargain! The latka is only potato, eggs. onion, salt and pepper pan fryed in olive oil, they should have given you apple sauce to go with it'
I saw a video of the NY Jewish community and that they have their own 'emergency' protocol. If you lock your keys in your car they arrive quickly. I believe they have their own EMS system as well. Let me know if you would like to watch this video. I think I know who produced it.
Oy ! No Kugel, no cholent, not even a hot deli sandwich? There must be a Jewish buffet in Vegas, I hope you find and do a vlog about it. Ethnic foods are always great, you just got to find a place that makes it.
FYI: Two sets of dishes in a kosher kitchen, as well as pot, pans and utensils since you can't mix meat and dairy. Two sinks. The menu may have been kosher style, but doubtful it was kosher.
Nothing there is kosher. But it is traditional Jewish cuisine. BTW, I was there in August for the 50/50 Wednesday menu and the server did not ask for a player's card; said there was no need. It was actually not a spectacular deal, since the hotel prices were pretty high to begin with.

Hi Danny, fyi Mei Lai Wah is moving to 41 Mott Street. That used to be the New Golden Fung Wong Bakery.

I just realized I miss matzo ball soup.
"Very Jewish " never heard that description befor and im Jewish. Ill forgive you😂
I like the potato latkes from trader joes...eat em with sour cream and apple sauce!!🤤
Sour cream and apple sauce is my favorite combination with potato latkes. I also like sour cream and berry jam on waffles.
I had never had Jewish food before; it looked delicious. The story about stopping their cars was news to me, so I thought about it, and I saw a movie about people not riding their horses until sunset. "The Frisco Kid"

would it be possible that they went kosher for just the hanukkah offering and then not be kosher after that? I have no clue.. thanks for watching.
Boy do I miss some amazing Jewish restaurants in NY...would love me a knish right now😊
Nice special meal.
Is there anyone in Vegas eating more beef than "Danny The Medic"? 😮

Sorry, Danny, i was wrong - challah uses oil while brioche uses butter.
Good stories DTM!
One day we would like o take u to our favorite spot !
Danny needs new places to eat. The ones he goes are getting boring. He is now eating Glatt Kosher, what's next Halal?
Yes, I was right about it! DTM you grew up in NYC, you have the city accent!
Outstanding Video As Usual 😊😊Thanks Danny 👑 😊 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🌎

Wow! That plate is bigger than you are! :)
Hi Danny I’m old to your channel. I’ve been enjoying your videos and always look forward to watching them.

And flour to bind it together
Imagine Danny the Medic giving you Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation! 😂 Sorry. Holy cow, why do I do this to myself. 😐
We have a device for that nowadays, it aint the 70's!

If you like Jewish food and large portions, you should try Weiss Deli in Henderson - local gem!
I will add to list! dtm5

i hear the rampart have a deli night
Supposed to dunk bread in soup. Enjoy. Happy Hanukkah!
That is a big plate.
I bought Chinese food for Christmas I told them to keep the change.
are they closed on saturday....if not , not kosher!!!!!
Why do I feel deja vu?
are there any chinese jewish? never had kosher chinese food lol
there ARE! I once googled it!
Lol. It's not an ethnicity or nationality. Anyone can convert to Judaism.
I’m guessing that in America, most Jews are not Kosher or Orthodox.
I guess it is like a spectrum of tradition holding from mild to extreme!
I would ask to see the dishes. That's a big deal, two sets of dishes. No idea why. Guess you cant wash dishes on Saturdays or something.
FYI: Two sets of dishes in a kosher kitchen, as well as pot, pans and utensils since you can't mix meat and dairy. Two sinks. The menu may have been kosher style, but doubtful it was kosher.
That's one small matzo ball, disappointing.
That's one small matzo ball for a man, one giant matzo ball for mankind.

Should have gotten the liver it’s amazing
