Great to see The IT Crowd again👌 Congratulations to Matt Berry for his Emmy nomination for What We Do In the Shadows 👋
Cant wait till you discover GREEN WING
YES! Green Wing is absolute comedy gold- fantastic cast and fanbulously wierd characters as well as a unique style of editing. It hasn't dated, either, which is rare for comedy.
In the "Countdown" episode there is an Easter egg reference to John Carpenter's cult 1988 film "They Live", when Moss says "I came here to drink milk & kick arse. And I'm all out of milk." In the film the main protagonist confronts his enemies and announced "I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum". They Live is exactly the sort of geeky film that Moss would be aware of and quote.
The BBC send me e-mails if I would like to be in an audience and it can be a lottery. I have been to a few concerts and they run like a concert but the radio comedies last a lot longer due to dealing with errors. Plus there can be a warm up act. The tickets are free which is great. Plus there might be extra material that they dont use in the final cut. Dinner Ladies always had two runs with the audience and Victoria Wood would do rewrites to make the final run spot on. It can be an experience of a lifetime to be in the audience as sometimes there are performers that you would normally pay a huge amount to see in other venues. Thanks for your great channel as it gives such a wide variety of bits and bobs that brightens our day. Cheers from a very sunny and hot England.
Other shows to check out. MISFITS, BRASSIC, The Thin Blue Line, One Foot In The Grave, Not Going Out, A Touch of Cloth, Blackadder series 2,3,4.
Very good choices.
He's doing Blackadder series 2. AND HE STARTED FROM THE BEGINING, BECAUSE WHY NOT!
Love your reactions, have you checked out a show called "You rang m' lord " on the surface a very mainstream comedy, but at least 20+ years before "Downton Abbey" , a great slice of classic British humour 😂
Coupling series
Every scene of every episode a winner ❤
Never seen these. Thanks!
Ayoade is in "THE WATCH" with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is not to be missed. So ridiculous.
Red dwarf has the same vibe. Live studio audience.
You've been part of a documentary though King Boomer.
Nightingales dark comedy from the 90's is worth a watch.
Totally this. Nightingales is a somewhat-overlooked work of genius.
You do know that that worldwide computer crash was Jen’s fault . She dropped the box
Great comedy with great character actor's 😂
🕷🕸" WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS" 🕸🕷🕸🕷🕸 IS HILARIOUS RANDOM COMEDY YOU'D LOVE!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 MATT BERRY IS ALSO GOOD IN "TOAST OF LONDON"👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The easiest way to pronounce Richards last name is to literally say the letters ‘i o r d’
Can I recommend you watch The Thick of It .
Do you think Benedict Wong cracked up when said "The first rule of street countdown - is that you try to tell as many people as possible about it" (Fight Club of course) is that he accidentally started using his real accent? 😀
Another suggestion to watch and react to: "All The Times Sebastian Ruined It For PM | Little Britain | Lucas and Walliams"
Two other series you should consider reacting to are Game On and Men Behaving Badly. The latter is one of the funniest British sitcoms of all time and both had a change of lead after the first season which ended up being a fantastic decision on both accounts and really made the shows.
Good stuff Brian, felt need to comment as no else has yet. "Black Books" is my Favourite GL show.
If you wanna see really funny bloopers, do Phoenix Nights after you finish it! 👍
The Watch is a good movie including Richard Ayoade
You proved your theory about background noise being added later in the scene before that where Roy is asking Moss if he had sex with that lady. In the show they've added nightclub music to it
Whenever i see these im reminded of garth merenghis dark place
Phoenix nights outtakes they're funny
Johny Vegas warm up fish or QI
Garth Marengi’s Dark Place is worth a look boomer
Lovely to see Graham Linehan on set.
Please react to derry girls
You need to watch early doors
Yeah, if you enjoy the technology etc it's a bit of fun being in the audience but I've only ever been dragged to see things I didn;t especially want to see, after my sister registered to get free tickets and wanted an accomplice. I thought it was funny when there was an empty seat in front of us and the BBC just dragged a homeless guy in to sit there - he slept the whole way through the Armstrong & MIller show. X factor was especialy good fun but they make you clap so long and hard it hurts. "louder!!!" - made us queue for four hours to get in as well, but worth it.
Ok if you can you and queen should listen and react to our queen Amy WInehouse 💕
