It seems their bows are doing melee damage, probably firing "blunt" objects😂. And furthermore, they dont qualify as unique unit or Infantry, so none of the bonus damage applies. Its like having 60 throwing axeman with a Spanish accent 😅
Correct, Villagers have no counter classes, as they are not of a appropriate classification (Military, Monk, Naval etc). if Villagers in AoE II worked the same way Citizens in 0 A.D Worked (being able to select a stance), then they would be terrifying
imagine being the longbowmen in the beginning LMFAO, watching as Spanish peasants bear down on you with vastly inferior bows, and yet... something seems off about them...
Honestly, when they get supremacy if they got attack move that would be good enough to make them a decent unit in the late game, giving them bows would make them a viable trash archer
So it looks like villager hunting damage is actually melee damage. TKs and Boyars did great, but Huskarls, War Wagons, Rattans, and Imp Skirms got shredded.
They actually performed quite well against most units which is surprising but struggled against the Teutonic Knights and Boyars which isn't surprising due to their high armour
How is it possible they deal lots of damage BOTh to Huskarls (win) and Teutonic Knights (relatively close loss)? Is there a third damage option apart from melee and pierce armor?
When Spanish villagers remember they can use the hunting bow against enemy units: "Prepara el culo"
el juego va a dejar de tener sentido 11 , demasiado rotos
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The funny thing is the Spanish have the worst archer unit... At least until the villagers decided to hunt their enemies
17:42 closest match I've ever seen
That one guy had 2 hp left out of the initial 80.
Huskarl: "haha, easy 😂 (Gets melted down by arrows) wtf?? 🙄"
TK: "Oh shit they shooting arrows! 😱(1 damage per hit) Huh? 🤔"
Spanish villagers: Grab bows
Unique units: Wait, why do WE hear boss music?
Ironically, they deal melee damage like Mamelukes and Throwing Axemen, despite using bows.
And shoot as fast as crossbowman with thumbring, damn 😳
Hahaha nice!
One of the most op unit in this series !!
With better micro, I think they could have beaten the Elephants and Teutonic Knights as well!

Wow, the Spanish Villagers using bows are insanely good.
With Supremacy, Spanish villagers become stronger. That reminds me ganados in resident evil 4.
Looks like shooting melee damage is pretty good.
2:43 This is why Genghis Khan never made it to Iberia
Elephant is the best performing unit for villager raiding. What a time to be alive
Archers with melee attack. New unique unit
Honestly, when they get supremacy if they got attack move that would be good enough to make them a decent unit in the late game, giving them bows would make them a viable trash archer
Aoe make this happen
The Huskarls getting stomped is not what I expected. Didn't know Hunter villagers did melee damage.
relief for teutonic knights 😅
Spirt of the Law: Why no Villager archer tho?
Developers: Balance tho.

You know your unique range unit is bad, when the spanish villager with a bow performes strong & almost got away killing the konniks.
They actually performed quite well against most units which is surprising but struggled against the Teutonic Knights and Boyars which isn't surprising due to their high armour
That's because the Spanish vills do melee damage
You could call this the Spanish Revolution :)
射箭的西班牙村民造成的依然是近戰傷害?
Yes
Only 4 war elephants left. Imagine if they focused fire.
*So that's how the Berbers lost Spain!*
This was hilarious. Thank you.
We need Paella Archers vs Ceviche Archers
That's why Spanish dont have archer's line in AOE2....
Game balance.
Porque curvados son los caminos del milagro.
Archer villagers should be Britons bonus. Would be small but effective in dark age and fuedual
War Elephants, Serjeants, Monaspas and Savars, others got obliterated.
Indomitable Iberian villagers led by their Chief Huevos Y Bacon
those arrows actually did melee attack huh
A very interesting concept.
What about a civ that allow this? Without Spanish supremacy ofc
Oh wow, an Archer that can beat Husks
This is what happens when the people have finally had enough of their rulers 😂😂😂
How TF did you get those villagers that strong? Lol 😂
Im surprised they took alot of the war elephants down lol
HOW DID THEY KILL HUSKARLS THAT QUICK??
Their damage type is melee. That's why Teutonic Knights and Boyars can endure while Huskarls get devastated.
The villagers is broken
is this remake ?
Who needs military units?!!!!! If villagers are chaper 😂😂
How is it possible they deal lots of damage BOTh to Huskarls (win) and Teutonic Knights (relatively close loss)?

They do melee damage which is kinda strange
Those are civilians. How are they so powerful?
Is this even possible in the real game?
Is this a mod and where can I get it?
