I loved this movie for its direction, story, and its message in so many ways, so it was really fun to do this breakdown. I did lots of research and thinking, and I think I've wrapped my head around it. Here is my explanation of the movie and the ending. Hope you like it! Would love to see this concept as a black mirror episode, this and smile were crazy standouts based off the trailer and went better than expected. Are you excited for Sundance film festival coming up in 2 weeks?
Yeah, it reminded me of black mirror so much, I'm sure black mirror would've approached it with a much more highbrow, serious tone, but I'm glad this tastefully blended comedy-horror with social commentary horror. It was super fresh. Certainly exceeded my expectations like Smile, just like you said.
And about Sundance, I'm excited for the news I'll hear following the event. Unfortunately, I won't be going, but there looks to be some great work on the way!

Have you seen Triangle of Sadness, that was pretty weird, but I think it had some interesting themes in it.
I was away visiting family when Triangle of Sadness came out in my city, and sadly I still haven't seen it. I swear, this movie has been the most requested since I returned, so I will certainly check it out. Maybe I could cover it around Oscar time in March. Thank you for letting me know!!
