Zorox has been making kind of a reboot with ultratale (renamed into vital!tale), with actual focus on making a good narrative, and all the episodes so far are incredibly good! I especially like the fact that they don't focus SOLELY on Sans and they gave Doggo an absolute badass fight. You should totally check it out, it's awesome
I really liked the idea of a monster using a soul that matches them best and gaining a new set of powers from it. Gaster and the purple soul just makes sense
I am... pretty sure Delta is what introduced me to the Undertale fandom/community as a whole (idk how I learned about AUs before the real thing but I just roll with it-)
i feel like sans is out of character cause of the bravery soul, probably making him more confident and cocky. the guy who created him (forgot his name) apparently was gonna rewrite the story, but its been a while since hes uploaded anything, which sucks cause this sans is pretty cool guy was written in 2017, and almost nobody understood sanses true personality apart from funny skeleton lazy man, so it is what it is
That poses an interesting question, when a monster absorbs a human soul, how much of an affect does the personality of the soul have on the behavior of the monster? How much of Delta is Sans and how much is the bravery soul,is it dependant on the willpower of the monster or the amount of determination the human soul has? There are many inpretations you can go with...
@@mrslasher1064 The Bravery Human’s Soul can talk to Delta Sans, so they are still separate entities, to some extent. I do think that absorbing a Human Soul changes your personality a little though. Since Monsters don’t have traits associated with their own Souls, it makes sense that absorbing a Soul with a trait, would influence their personalities, if only a bit. It even works in canon, if you say the Red Soul represents Determination (which is a whole other argument, but just hear me out). When Asriel absorbs the Determination Soul, Chara is still a separate being that can talk to him, but you could also say Asriel became a lot more determined, since he was able to allow the village humans to just kill him, without attacking, running away, or letting Chara take control. Things he probably couldn’t have done as the cowardly little kid we usually see him portrayed as. Asriel even says at the end of pacifist that he can feel the hopes and dreams of all the Monsters he absorbed, and that’s part of the reason why he reacts so much to Frisk, and why they’re able to SAVE him (along with they fact that they remind him of Chara). It’s also the reason he breaks the barrier. So imo, he’s still Sans overall, he’s just a lot more brave, like the Soul you absorb changes one facet of your personality, but you’re still overall the same person. Maybe that’s why Asriel is so emotional during the final boss fight? If you absorb a Soul, it just amplifies that specific trait, but if you absorb every Soul, it amplifies every trait, making you all around just a super emotional person?
I remember the first time I saw the animation of ultratale as I remember also people confused him with ultra sans ( bc of his au name people used to call the sanses based on their au) and I think he is decent but in story isn’t much and the story is pretty simple
I would say delta is around epic or cross - dream or nightmare (base and no positivity/negativity buff) so i think hes pretty strong, in terms of my opinion on the orange fanta colored skele, i like him alot, i like how it isnt like other sanses where its just "HAHAHHA GASTER BLASTER SPAM GO BRRR" and nearly all your problems on it can easily be written off as how the au is (the au is vitaltale now btw).
So i'm not the only one who took inspiration from Delta when designing AU characters it seems,i created a character that converted his magic power into fuel for his soul to burn and convert into energy,he wasn't a skeleton,he was a boss monster and I essentially took the fire magic we see boss monsters use and turned it inward, his soul acted like a combustion engine and his magic power was the fuel his soul burned to create power,it was inspired by Delta Sans and his very physical fighting style,i always liked that Delta actually physically fought instead of just spamming magic attacks,oh and he also had a mouth beam which was basically just me stealing Delta's mouth blast attack, ever since I saw Broly fire a ki blast out his mouth i've been obsessed with characters that can do that...
4:04 I think his out of character moments could be caused by the bravery soul he absorbed and the soul makes him more brave and cocky? but thats just my theory. Also I blame the chara being evil!!! to most interpretations on the internet back in the day.
Okay so i'd say delta is stronger then cross. remember. delta didn't get a break before fighting cross. and it still took delta getting jumped by cross and horror and it also took cross playing a little cheep to take delta down.
That would be fair considering that Cross was barely holding his own against Classic and Ink, while he is trying to control Fell. Cross barely able to even out with his Chara's help until Fell came and almost got blasted out, and was force to run away. Later on he was jump by people like Swap Paps, Fell, and Classic, with Classic, who later have his soul back. If you try to pin him against Delta would just be overkill, and their for him being nerf is necessary.
Delta san's is a really well done character. Sadly tho, i havent heard much about from zorox for year's. Though the story of delta incredibly great and the animation itself too. I couldnt imagine the fandom without delta.
I would probably scale Delta to city block level, on the other end Nightmare (town level since he destroyed a whole ass city and the Dreamtale tree) and Error (low complex multiversal) both outscale him by a long shot. We haven't really seen a lot from Delta's second from tho.
Considering delta has canonically beaten cross and cross has literally decimated a entire timeline (refering to how cross destroyed and rewritted underfell) delta is probably above universal but thats a highball, also cross has showned to be on epics level and 3 epic blasters said to be able to destroy a city like a NUCLEAR BOMB, so low ball delta is probably above city level.
@@DeltaSanz the one Delta fought wasn't canon Cross. Also, not really, Cross in UV just took a part of UF's snowdin, that's all. Canon Cross and Canon Epic never fought, in a real battle Epic would two tap him. Also, the 3 blasters thingy got changed in the reboot, Epic doesn't have it anymore.
i have some ideas about how to make delta's back story better(vitaltale ep1): frisk/the player failed their genocide route and reset (basically same as what vitaltale's reboot shows) but the reset caused an error in the timeline, making chara's personality into omega!chara's personality (routhless and put erasing the whole AU/timeline/world at their goal) after the player/frisk falls into the underground, omega!chara took over frisk's body and started the messacre(also same as vt reboot) after dusting the whole underground and when omega chara arrived the last corridor(and stands against sans) , W.D gaster summoned flowey and asgore into the void, and showing what had happened and what will happen if they still dont take actions. and after some discussing ,they decided to give sans the bravery soul ( the soul must be loyal to its absourber to reach its maximum potential)[the reason to choose bravery can be : bravery was one of sans' best friend when he was alive(toby doesnt give the six souls their back stories so i think its fine to change it to this in vt)] and once sans defeated omega chara, the timeline can be reseted by flowey(omega chara cant reset), and everything will be back. but flowey and asgore sacrificed themselves in the battle (like what vt ep1 shows) after sans defeating omega chara and became the only alive being in the timeline, gaster summoned him to the void and gave him the ability to AU hop to find if theres any answer/ways to fix what happened to vitaltale
Of course, I also think that Delta would win against mistake and Nightmare with one hand tied behind his back and without seeing my arguments? nightmare is weak to positive feelings and what are delta attacks made of? that's right, bravery, delta is the direct counter to nightmare and with error there is simply no comparison, delta is physically superior and much faster, in addition to being better in combat
Alright! Time for MY opinion, on this, he is...a pretty bad written character, dont get me wrong I like the idea of sans absorbing a human soul to defeat frisk, but when he could go through universes. It was dumb like...I get that sans using a soul is cool but he isnt a literal god just because he absorbed one, and chara's transformation REALLY sucked the most, like they went from using a large knife, to just having..limb modification and thats it..cant fire energy slashes, cant summon weapons, its just...lame, like im sorry but the story just isnt good at all.

Regular Chara destroyed a timeline, Delta is definitely Universal.
i have some ideas about how to make delta's back story better(vitaltale ep1):
