You never quite know where you might find an amazing old artefact. There could be one hidden in a box in your basement. Perhaps there's one buried in your back yard or hidden by the mud on the banks of the nearest river? Amazing finds from the past could be literally anywhere, and whenever they're found, they make for wonderful stories. Let's hear some of those stories now.

Actually, I have seen a music typewriter. In the 1970s, I worked for a small music publisher on Long Island. The owner had invented a version of the music typewriter, and then went on to develop a computer program that would do the layout, though variables like crescendos, decrescendos, and ties were still done by hand.
