Hope for Paws is the only animal rescue videos I will watch. You all really care for the animals and treat them kindly and as gently as possibly when rescuing them. Thank you!!!
I'm so glad that Knee-Socks was just a stray and not feral, and was able to be adopted. It breaks my heart when all that can be done for a feral rescue is to heal them, spay/neuter them, vaccinate them, then send them back out onto the streets. I know that is where they prefer to be, but that is no life for any cat.
Not all cats want to be out on the street. It's a terrible myth. I fed a cat across the road for two years after her owner moved out and left her behind. I fed her until she stopped eating one day. She had a very bad mouth infection. Took her to my vet, discovered all her teeth were rotten. She was just over two years old and had to have all her teeth removed. My vet told me predators (people/cars/other animals) and poor dental hygiene kill most outdoor cats. They average life expectancy for them is two years. I brought Venus home, and brought her inside to live with me and my pack, expecting the worst. It's been two years and she shows NO interest in being outside at all! She loves her home and loves her furry siblings!
I've rescued a lot of cats and dogs. Only one truly feral cat that decided it wanted to live in my garage. Took me 3 days to catch it. I've never met a wilder meaner cat. But guess what? Found a cat rehab group that likes a challenge. Lots of resources out there as long as we try.
@@andrewjllewellyn I'm so glad you were able to help your neighbor's cat. It wasn't truly feral though because it had lived inside when your neighbor had it. Feral cats are born outside to feral mothers. That's the difference between ferals and strays. Strays can lose their trust in humans from living on the street, but can get it back when treated kindly. They're much easier to tame than ferals, though ferals do sometimes decide, on their own terms, that they want to be tame eventually if you consistently care for them long enough. Mostly though, they prefer not to be pressured about it, and just live independent lives with as little human interaction as possible.
@@jynx6262 I've tamed dozens of feral cats. It doesn't take them very long to associate humans with food. It just takes a lot of patience. I don't grab them, I just very slowly become part of their world and eventually I can pick them up. I have a nasty old tom on my back porch right now who it's taken me a whole year to be able to pet. He knows I'm his pal now. I have another one in my house who it took me almost six months to tame, but she's super-sweet now.
Me too. It makes me so happy when I see my monthly donation go thru. Once, I even cashed in some recyclables to put a few dollars in my bank so my HFP monthly would clear.
Amazing how tame mom was for a feral. Thank you for rescuing both. So important that cats are spayed or neutered. HFP does the best job ever. Proud donor. Blessings!
I love that the mom was adopted first because often it seems the kittens always get adopted while the adult cats get passed over so it was lovely to see KneeSocks get adopted first though I want to see the baby adopted too! I have my own “feral” kittens, two brothers that were passed over because they got labeled as feral. I vowed to keep the brothers together as that bond was all they had known and in days they went from feral to domesticated all they needed was love and attention
Sorry I should of known when you said 'had' 😔. Losing a pet is hard. I miss my dog called Toby of all names lol, now I have a Cockapoo who sleeps in my bed every night, she follows me around like I'm her mum 😂
fun little kitten rescue story of my own from down here in Australia, about a year ago we found a little maybe 2-3 month old kitten in our cars fender, we were able to get him out after a bit and we ended up adopting him. he is in great health and has had his ups and downs but he is ok. fender is a great cat, a bit feral sometimes but he is fine. we live on a mountain and have no idea if the mother is ok or if there were more in the cats family but we saved our little guy.
Nothing More Satisfying Than Seeing a Kitten Totally Transformed Back into a Healthy Kitty and Getting a Chance at a Really Good Life Ahead...Warms The Heart
Thank you for getting these two off the streets. This is why I support you monthly. It isn't a large amount but I know that whatever happens in my life, I won't have to stop.
Omg this breaks my heart even more than normal cat rescues do- because my cat looked exactly the same as this little kit when she was a baby. It breaks my heart to think about if the roles had been reversed. I'm so glad this little kitten is able to get the love it truly deserves
My cat that I adopted about 6 months ago looks exactly like her and it’s crazy she has the same coloring and everything! But when I adopted mine she came with a bent tail :)
I've been watching you guys rescue animals for years and I look up to you all. My goal is to be like you guys, help animals everywhere, It warms my heart how caring you all are. love you guys 💜
You guys are so incredible there is so much hate in the world and you guys are trying so hard. I don't understand who would ever do anything bad to an animal they bring us so much joy and love. Keep up the good work I love your channel and I hope you save more animals!
Feral cata do have a "bad" death, a rough life, but they usually only live 2-3 years outside, at most, so it's not "long" at all... which is even sadder. :( Indoor cats can live to a ripe old age in their 20s.
You guys are absolutely awesome. Knee Socks may have had a home once, so shocked to see her respond to humans. I also “didn’t see that coming”. Love this.
What a difference! The little kitten came around! So playful!!! Mama cat rescued good! The kitten was sniffing the camera LOL! You go Hope 4Paws always great!!!
I didn't see it coming either 😲you guys are really good at this 😉😅I'm very happy that you guys were able to rescue them both that was really awesome what this person did to help them too i just hope and pray that they both find a good forever home soon 💕💚💛😘😍😍❤❤😚😙💖

Just Beautiful.. I rescued a feral cat who was pregnant. It took about a year and a half for her to adjust and now she is the sweetest cat. So are her 3 babies. Just Love them. We tell them how much every single day.
Hi hope for paws. I just wanna say that in Crete there is a lot of homeless cats. I was on a trip there on a hotel and every time we was eating on the food place, the cats always was there and ask for food. They was also following us up till the hotel. *Hope you can help XoXo Minna*
Minna, Crete and Greece also have lots of dogs that are starving, too. They do have rescues there you can try to find. The country has been having economic troubles, and there are lots of street animals. Look for a local rescue, that's better and greener.
These type of videos are the reason why I want to adopt an animal from a shelter because you dong know what they have been through Anyway keep up the AMAZING work that you do and make the world better place for humans and animals
I looked back at one of the videos that you made almost 10 years ago. Back then you had to let your audience know that you didn’t have enough money for vet visits after rescues without donations. Now you only advertise that donations are very much appreciated. You’ve come a long way and you guys have saved so many lives. Every time you rescue a cat, dog, or some other animal I always wish that they could find a loving home very soon after being rescued. But the most heartbreaking moments are when you were a little too late and the rescue or rescues passed away soon after being rescued. It’s a heartbreaking feeling that they are given hope that they will have a better life soon and then have it taken away. I know in this rescue nobody died but I wanted you to know exactly how I feel about you guys and what you do. Thanks for saving the lives of so many precious animals!
Wildlife Smart the cat was starving, on the brink of death. He saw the can of delicious wet food, and stared in awe. He wanted it so bad, but his instincts said no as there was a human near. He eventually got his nom noms though.
I love it when the moms get rescued too....❤️❤️
Me too. They don't understand that their kittens are rescued. I'd hate to imagine how they feel and what they think when their babies are taken.
So great!😊🎉💕
They got the mama cat too they're together now💗
They do say children are a blessing. I guess that included animal children as well.

im so glad you got the mother
That mother cat was not a true feral cat - more likely a stray or thrown out.
Most likely
Agreed.
Yea definitely not feral. Btw strays are cats thatve been thrown out, and whoever did it to her is an asshole.
@Andrew Ongais true, she could've been lost.. but i was talking about if she was thrown out genius. Why do i have to explain that?
@Andrew Ongais Bold of you to come to a rescue video just to pick a fight.
