Great to hear some thoughts. I'm surprised how little of any talk I could find about this new library, even concidering how praised Performance Samples is. I'm quite surely buying this especially since qualified for the lowest price. I would recommend people buying the Pacific Solo Strings first, if one can get it cheap. Because for very little price difference, you would then be qualified for both, the brass and that library as far as the loyalty goes.

@@Ximonic Yeah, there isn’t nearly enough content on the PS site to support a purchase decision in my estimation. Granted they say it’s something they haven’t gotten to yet, and I understand Jasper has prioritized other things, but the situation really isn’t great for the customer.
I’ve also seen close to no other coverage of this from third parties. PS did do a very silent launch for this, I mean even the email came weeks(?) after the release, so maybe that has something to do with it. Also they don’t seem to share NFR copies right now.
Yeah for sure for the loyalty intro price this is an insta-buy for me, now that I know what it holds.

Rlly appreciate this awesome review! Amazing stuff. The lack of no 2nd Violines makes it impossible to write anything meaningful. So a clear pass ! ;)

I don't know what it is, but even on only far mics, they sound like they're inside my ear canal. I'm struggling with these a lot. I preferred the tone of Caspian.

I can see how that could be the case with some of the higher dynamics on certain instruments.
As I touch on, the highest dynamics (maybe the top third of the velocity range) are often super piercing, and I recommend using them only momentarily, such as in powerful crescendos, or just don't go that high at all. It's a really exceptional and interesting dynamic range solution, so it needs to be approached in its own way.
I never owned Caspian so I can't comment on that or compare. But I'm glad it works for you!
      Thanks for watching 💪🏻
