Nice video but surely Glazing needs to be compliant with BS6206 ? At 4:43 the reference to BS2606 is for Xray protective gloves !!

Hi, What a great video. Now I will be able to keep an eye on the contractors doing my FD….. 1 question though, can a 3 point rhino hook locking system be fitted to the FD30 ? Thanks in advance.

We have just had flat doors changed to 30 min Fire Rated replacements. The gaps are all over the place, some up to 9mm, should be 2 - 4 mm. The door stops are integral with the old frame so there are gaps here that are too big to measure with a guide, I can get my finger between the door front and the door stop! Any suggestions? Probably need to replace the frame.

Plastic packers? That’s wrong. They will melt. Same goes for plastic red and brown plugs. It’s a no no

@@ricardowhite3620 you can use plastic and timber packers with our Fire Door Foam - these have been tested with timber fire door assemblies - see www.fireandacousticseals.co.uk for more information. We are part of the Midland Building Products Group. All test data available and installation information is on the website.

Since when has Pink foam been approved by fire door manufacturers to be used around their door sets?

You obviously work for a different colour fire door foam company... let me guess... Blue?

My guess would be none, all of the fire doors in my David Wilson Home have no sealant in the frame to wall gaps, all are wide open with the plasterboard on both sides cut back from the timber stud, some gaps are as wide as 40mm.
