In SE Asia yes they are consistently good upgrades- can’t recall a time in the past couple of years when I didn’t get at least a true (not just higher floor, etc) one category upgrade in the region. That said, occupancy has also been way down. I’m currently on a long trip and the upgrades in other regions are no where near as generous in my experience. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I think interior colour/textures is very subjective, l liked this room but then l wasn't fond of that Earth room at SO Bangkok so l guess we all have different tastes 🤷♀️ but those hanging pendant lights with the? brown paper wrapped around the cords looked exactly as l stated 😆.
But who's here for the room anyway when the views, the gardens and the beach will keep you fixated on anything but brown decor, the time you took walking around those beautiful gardens was just the best experience an arm chair traveller could ever want. Thankyou for getting up early and showing this property to us, deserves every minute of the review👍

In the longer run your different style can challenge the highly popular Luxury Travel expert, or maybe more accurately give optional view. You both are doing great job. Keep it up👍. Bonus for hotel rates too. That is missing almost all oy other reviews.

We're staying here now ... While I can't fault them for their service which is impeccable, i so have to say that the food, especially breakfast could be much much better... Kiree needs a MAJOR upgrade as far as furniture is concerned... A lot of these couches had stains or tears. Not a good look tbh. However, our personal butler was a lovely young lady who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable

I appreciate your candor and honesty. It helps to decide where we want to stay. I agree with you that the property is beautifully landscaped and that beach is to die for. I also think that the suite and probably the rooms as well need to be spruced up as I was not impressed with the vast amounts of corian counters and other surfaces in what should be an elegant suite. What made up for it was the deck and pool area,though the pool lounges need to be repainted as they look old and tired. Too much brown and taupe in that room to make it feel warm and welcoming,especially at it's price point. The food looked amazing! Once, again, thank you for giving your honest opinions! Beautifully video taped but could you go a bit slower in the gardens? Aloha from the Big Island🌺
Yes I completely agree with you and I too thought beige Corian was left to die ten years ago 😂 To their credit, IF this is what they have to work with, they do it very well- dated materials aside. Kind of the polar opposite for the Ritz Carlton Samui which I’m in the middle of writing the script for which is only four years old but feels like someone forgot about it in 1994. Can’t win them all, I suppose! Mahalo for watching 🙏🏻

Such incredible videos...I found you a month or so ago and have watched (and Liked) practically everything. I am also addicted. Have you heard anything about the W Koh Samui? Considering changing from the W to the VB after watching your review. Thank you.
I’ve heard good things about the W Samui (in Bonvoy groups, so… grain of salt…) and had it on my list when planning my last trip but didn’t go because the price at the time was suspiciously high ($695 for a base villa). I will always recommend Vana Belle but it’s quite a bit different from the W style/vibe wise as you saw. Would also take a look at the Kimpton Kitalay Samui. Opened a few weeks after I was there so haven’t been yet, but it’s at the top of my list to try out.

ザサイアムをアゴダでとりましたが
フォーシーズンズバンコク気になります

I'm intrigued by the 'buffet plus continental' option - isn't continental just the breads, pastries, meats and cheese you get from the buffet anyway?
During Covid there were a litany of different types of breakfast offerings from hotels trying to reduce waste- some were more successful (and logical) than others lol

Are the meals expensive?
