Best Of OOTB 3 | The Final Tribes : Ascend Community Montage

- Here is my biggest project to date; the final T:A Community Montage !
I hope you like it :)
I spent 50+ hours on this fricking video : watching and rewatching montages to get clips, contacting players, going through the clips I received, selecting the best, finding the right musics, taking care of the intro and outro tittles, adding player names, syncing the clips, editing the transitions, rewatching it to search for errors, writing this very description, and of course taking care of the render and upload of this big ass 5 gigs video ...
So it would be awesome if you spread this video with other Tribes players who might enjoy it or even potential new players !
This 'tage was a real struggle to make as I do not enjoy the game anymore
I had too much pride to let someone else do it, and I wanted it to be as good as the other Community Montages, so I had to force myself
I managed to find motivation to complete it after 6 months working on it
I'm happy with the result, and I'm glad it's over
As always :
1) I upscaled the video to 4K so the video doesn't get compressed too much, so please, please, watch it in 1440p (or even 4K if you connection supports it) : the image will be much crisper (even if your screen doesn't support those resolutions) as the bitrate is twice higher
2) Some of the clips were taken from the player's montages and had to be downloaded through RUclips, so that's why the quality isn't always amazing
Also some of the clips were in 4:3 or other resolutions so I had to stretch them to remove the black bars.
3) Just like the previous community montages, I went for a discrete editing, with few effects in order to focus on the actions and the sync
4) I didn't activate monetization but the song owners did
My main goal with those montages was to display as many aspects and playstyles of the community as possible while showcasing the best of what Tribes Ascend players have to offer :)

En court, c'est la meilleure chose que j'ai jamais vue. Je suis très content de t'avoir comme ami même après notre ère Tribes. J'espère qu'on se reverra encore en irl, le temps passé était vraiment super! J'admire cette chose que tu as faite, ça va être ma mémoire du jeu Tribes: Ascend pour l'infini. Mais nous, la communauté, ne devrons pas dire des compliments insignificants, mais plutôt on devrait dire: MERCI! À mon avis tu es la raison pourquoi cette communauté est resté ensemble si longtemps, sans toi, ce jeu serait vraiment mort. Every couple years i come back to this game and every time I have a lot of fun. It just pains me to see the state that the game was left in. It had so much potential! But, I guess all things eventually die off/are forgotten about; the passing of time does that to a lot of things. At least we still have a community! - Sterilise

Still the most fun I've ever had playing video games. I miss this game so much.
The best videogame / esport in my eyes still. The early version of course. This was a great flashback to some of my favorite memories with the PUG community and Draft Tourneys. Nice editing!

Just think about what we could have done with TA if it had a "replay" function as PuBG has now. The options for montages would have just been awsome.
I was asking for it for years :( but I guess the tech was not good enough yett? Maybe it would cost too much and Hi-Rez kinda did not want to use more money?

Frog played nothing but 24 hour Stonehenge for an eternity. I'm relatively certain he has as much time on stonehenge as I have as Light
damn. anyway for the eu side how many servers are usually up? im considering going back but i dont really know. ootb killed it to be honest
There are consistently 3-5 servers on EU last I checked...better than NA :,(
In the morning the EU servers is mostly half empty. At midday you can usually find 1 or 2 CTF and 1 TDM (EU). In the evening you can almost always find 1-2 full CTF and a decently filled TDM + US servers if you can hitscan. Tribes can't die.
