You should. I'm a former MTG player, and I think FAB is a lot of fun. You can even play it online for free using Talishar, but a lot of decks are cheap except for one or two staple equipments, if that, and there's even a Pauper-equivalent format (Commoner).
hey man, long time viewer (runeterra player), really glad you are sticking with FaB, this incredible game is really getting some traction and I really do think the niche is there for high quality well edited fb content, the magic players are flocking, the ygo players are flocking, this game is really on the up and up and it'll be great to watch you grow with it. Even though the numbers aren't quite runeterra levels keep at it. Honestly, although JW said it would never happen, the best thing that could happen to FaB creators is a standalone game with high production value made by LSS.
Absolutely love these story time videos. At the end you mentioned beginner how to start with different Hero videos and that sounds incredibly helpful. I know when I was trying to learn how to play I would get basic guides on how to play and then a deck list and be very confused about how to do anything outside Jam games on Talishar and pray

On the ticket price thing. Airlines usualy charge more for one way flights than if you book roundtrip, because round let's them plan their capacities better and ensures they will have a passenger for the return trip as wlel.

Happened to me once before. Bought the ticket, got the confirmation email from the airline, got a text message from my bank that my card was charged… but the ticket was not “issued”. They hold the amount in your card but does not actually charge it. They don’t tell you and you would have no idea unless you try to find your booking on their website.

I went to worlds and I spent my first day at Narita Airport waiting 9hrs for a friend. I got on a train and went 1 stop away to Narita town and looked around the shops, temple etc. It was well worth the excursion. I'm sad you didn't get to go out and look at Narita town :( Next time.
I’ve had that exact ticket situation on a trip to Ireland before, I was so mad but fortunately found out the night before when trying to check in. In that case it was a Delta issue but they never told me. Sigh. At least it ended up alright.
Listening to your san Francisco airport story gave me so much anxiety. But why did you feel the need to book your return flight with them? You had at least a week to book a return flight with another airline that would probably be cheaper and have better accommodations. Hearing your luggage load out also gave me anxiety. I am definitely not a competitive player, so all i packed for fab was a benji deck, some clothes and dice (because I was selling them to the vendors there). I fit all of that in my carryon luggage, and put that luggage into my large empty luggage, and checked it in. I was mostly there in Japan for Japan. Even during the world's weekend, i found myself leaving the event to go hang out more with my GF, who doesn't play fab at all. So hearing that you were there the day before play testing like crazy with other people, made my head spin. I was probably in Kyoto climbing the shrine on the mountain at the time while you were play testing. I knew i wasn't going to come back to Japan in a very long time. And this was my first time ever, so i had to make the most of it by enjoying Japan. I literally laughed out loud when you talked about saying hello to the Japanese guy in Korean. And Larissa was right about Asia countries ignoring dietary restrictions. They view it as weakness and that you're a weakling. I am lactose intolerant (not as bad as you) and i still eat pizza, drink milkshake, eat ice cream. Sometimes it hits me, sometimes it doesn't. And i used to be allergic to seafood, but i kept eating it. Eventually i stop being allergic. Thank god i stop being allergic, this Japan trip would have not been fun if i still was. Thank you for the story.

By my understanding Soy is the English name for the thing, in Japan it would be called something else depending on what form it is. Why was Soy in the name? No clue.(different meaning? A mascot type thing?) Glad your trip was fun, see you in Portland.💪

Everyone keeps talking about the hamilton's cyb nuu deck like it was a new unknown deck at worlds, I thought it was common knowledge. I was playing it from the first weekend of proquest and everyone online (mostly purple discord) I talked to about it called me dumb for thinking it was good.
