  • Automobile history is full of examples when revolutionary design was a reason for rejection by buyers of a new model. But there are also some seemingly incomprehensible cases

I love this car. The design was stunning, and I own an 85 and have hat no problems with the HT engine. I have had the car for over 10 years.

TRUNK is the term for a car's *rear opening.* HOOD is for the front one (where the grille is.) BOOT and BONNET are England's equivalent terms. Nobody ever calls the hood a trunk!

The ‘80 was the best engine for the Cadillac’s it was a 6.0 L. Gasoline Engine which was the only year for the Engine! Afterwards Cadillac started experimenting with the Engines and that’s when it became a problem! Starting with the 4-6-8 in ‘81 and then with the 4100 in ‘82-‘85 and then they realized that they needed to do something about it and then they decided to go ahead and change the engine sleeve and with 4.5 L. Engine in ‘87-‘90 and then the better improved 4.9L Engine ‘91-‘94 ! But nevertheless it was a great riding car!

Some how you mixed the Deisel engines specs along with the separate 4-6-8 gasoline engine. They were 2 badly designed engines, and very different, from each other.

Your click-pic shows Seville's 1st design era the *ended in 1979.* 1980-new was the so-nicknamed Bustleback Seville. Era 1 was popular right off in '75 as a '76 model! RESEARCH PLEASE.😡

You sound like you are an American, hopefully not an AI ROBOT. So why are you using metric measurements? When for what ever reason in the U.S. we use Imperial measurements. Why?

The 1979 was a much better and prettier car.

Who would have thought that GM could take a cheesy Chever-Lay Nova and turn it into what is probably the most classic Cadillac of the past 50 years~
And who would have thought that just about five years later the same GM would take a cheesy Chever-Lay Cavalier and turn it into what is probably the worst Cadillac in history~

The picture shows the masterful design of the original Seville, the 80 was lame, 8-6-4 🤢
