i love how Fantano just went from one of his most negative reviews (light 1) to one of his most positive ones (**decent** to strong 9)

To make it even better both are in the same genre but executed differently.

Just like when he gave Spellling a 10 last year and then gave Tones and I a 0 like a week later
I work at a record store. The owner Jon told me that the memorial slip on the album cover is that of Christopher Werner, his cousin. He didn't know someone put the picture on the cover until someone told him. It's a beautiful way to immortalize Christopher.
Their first release on Epitaph opens with a hip hop track which pissed off hardcore bros to no end (and it's way more punk than those gatekeepers will ever be).

nothing makes my day like fantano giving a high rating to something that sounds appealing to me
Also this review dropping the day after MGK is a huge "you vs the guy she tells you not to worry about" moment (this being the guy she tells you not to worry about)

Soul Glo is the hardest of the hardcore right now, shout out Philly hard-core scene
This was the type of album where I wasn't sure about it in the first couple of minutes but as I gave the album a chance I began to notice the brilliance. Once you dig deeper you realize why this is good and it begins to sound like a work of art. I've noticed a pattern in amazing albums being incredibly weird at first, I think that's what it takes to be this good. This was an (8.7 - 9.4/10)
I also really like how the album's meaning about feeling constrained by society and unable to be different in a progressive punk album is ironic considering how a community that is extremely conservative of an old progressive culture is awesome. Fantano is correct, this is PUNK ROCK!

UPDATE: Saw them live this past Friday in Cupertino and I ALREADY can't fucking wait to see them live again! Truly an unforgettable experience!

Wow 2 9/10 reviews and when this video was put out we were only 3 months into the year 🤯🤯 that's crazy but yeah another awesome review Anthony I didn't even know this band existed till I listened to some of there music that you shouted put on the weekly track round ups and I'm glad that I did because this was a totally awesome album where everybody in the band was giving it a 110% and you can tell also it was my first punk album and if there's more artist like this I am going to have to check them put for sure 😝
Saw them live yesterday here in London. My god, one of my favorite gigs ever. The moshing, the energy from the band, everything was perfect

This is so ill. The totally dynamic way rock and hip hop have intertwined in the last decade has been maybe the most interesting musical “movement” that I have experienced.
I've been watching so much Fantano I predicted a decent 9 based on what he was saying about it.

One of the only reasons I'm still listening to Epitaph, great to hear an awesome project can still come from them

I saw them play live last October on the Coheed Cruise. Their energy was so incredible. At one point the singer was lying face down on the stage screaming "Back on my bullshit". the cruise did not allow moshing so I cant wait until I can see them again to get into the pit.

Decent 8. Now this is what I'm talking about. There's more variance and vocabulary in this release than the Spy/Maniac one, and that really let me get into the spirit of the piece. Good shit.

I don't normally listen to hardcore punk, the musicianship on this record is absolutely fab. Never thought I would hear trap rhythms and horns on a punk record.
