- Nance and I had a knack for creating music together, a nice chemistry. We initiated the writing of this song, and the stories surrounding that time period are...well...NOTEWORTHY. You will love the Fisher Bros book, ALL TOLD!

When rock was beautiful and mysterious, melodic and powerful. Ann’s voice, wow.
It still can be, you just have to find it.
so true, moreBlack
Absolutely. Absolutely my friend. ❤
Everyone in Heart were great musicians, which is something that is lacking in a lot of music today. They also had great chemistry as a band until the breakup and I think that helped as well.
Those two ladies are one of the best things that ever happened to music.
Amen!
Heart was my first concert at age 16, on the Bad Animals tour. What a show that was.
It’s always been a mystery to me how this song never became a hit single.
Maybe it still could 🙂
I used to hear it on the radio. One of my top 5 favorite songs by them
Crazy. It’s so good!
@@wildcard04 I request it all the time. No one ever takes me up on it.
I agree! I love 70s Heart. This is my favorite song of them all
The whole album is a trip... a masterpiece.
My Favorite Heart Album although Dreamboat Annie is a close second.
IM 63 YEARS OLD NOW BUT BACK THEN AND I WAS SO IN LOVE WITH ANN ...WHEN I WAS 17 ... SHE WAS SO TALENTED .. AND GORGEOUS..
Right with you and "Only" 62.
It wasn't too long ago I pulled this up on a Touchtunes jukebox at a local bar and grill.
I'm 61 now I was probably 59 when I played it. There were some young ones there who never heard it. There were some older folks there that seemed to be at least in their 70s.
The whole bar wenr quiet. Everybody, young and old stoped talking upon hearing the start of this song.
There was a table of older people sitting behind me. I was sitting at the bar. They quit taliking. They did start whispering who is this. I know who this is. Then, after about 1 minute in, it dawned on one of them. LOVE ALIVE! I heard spoken behind me at an elevated voice.
The crowd went silent again.
The young and old both were much more interested in hearing the song than talking to each other.
After the song was over, the place went back to being a loud bar. People enjoying the people they were with.
I have to be honest. I have a couple of tears in my eyes remembering the joy I brought to them playing this song.
Well done Heart!
The Fisher Brothers era. The best and most relevant years of Heart!
The best time.
For me all eras are great and Ann & Nancy are what make them so great
Exactly!
Yes
Absolutely with a nod to the bebe le strange era
'Til now there has never been a Rock n Roll song that made me cry. And it's not the lyrics. It's the intro, Nancy and Roger together playing guitar. The chemistry is almost indescribable. It is beautiful - kimie
where did you get the name kimie. just asking
It’s the greatest to be a Heartmonger who kept the Love Alive, all these years, no matter what. This is the 💎 gem, right here. WOW. ❤️❤️❤️
Well said.
It takes more than money? It takes more than money . . .thank-you Heart.
it's so nice to hear 70's music (in general) where everything has so much space... and musicianship and expertise are naturally occurring aspects of the song
So many songs like this were played on FM radio in the 70s out of Detroit, just north of where I grew up. Thanks WRIF for all the R&R memories!
yea
DVE in Pittsburgh was the only FM that played this song
Arthur Penhallow! Baby!
I hear you. I grew up in Atlanta and we had 96 Rock, which is no longer on the airwaves. Good memories.
This is my favorite Heart song. Every word in this song describes exactly what I went through with my ex.
My favorite Heart song, too. I was frustrated by how rarely I heard it on the radio back in the day. 💖💖💖👍👍👍
Sorry about you past ex..
I hope you find the ONE that trusts/supports/believes in you.
Best wishes.
Same here wow it's nice to know that there are people just like you in the world and how music shapes the everyday episodes love it
Just a beautiful intro composition, timeless music.
This is just brilliant, they were in a league of their own back then.
THANKS for this fantastic upload, it captures Ann in her prime
One of my favorite Heart songs. My husband of 34 years isn’t a big fan like I am, but whenever I play this on my guitar ..he “sings” Fossen’s bass line - da da da doom -da da da da …do do …da da da da 😀 I love that bass line as well as everything else about his song and the many layers! This was a great album!
Such a beautiful song. Brought tears to my eyes this morning. Music heals the soul in a dark world. We must never let them take that away.
Awesome
I've been welling up over this one since they released it. So relevant.
And were not inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame until 2013 REALLY! You are amazing! I've only had the pleasure of seeing you live 4 times
I have loved these Ladies, The 1st Sisters of Classic Rock for going nigh on a 1/2 Century. Seen 'em twice, during the '86 Tour & then Bad Animals in '91. They ARE & always WILL BE, MY GIRLS!...
me too! Saw them on the Bad Animals in 1991, 2004 and 2019 .. such incredible wonderful voices
Bad Animals was 1987. The tour was ‘87-88.
And posted by 2 ex/former boyfriends of hers,The Fisher Brothers!Good to see you again!😃😄😊🙏🤳✍️🇮🇹
What about the rest of the band?
Ann Wilson is the total package; beauty, power and a voice from the heavens. Talent at every turn ~ totally arresting.
These are priceless.
Everyone is so appreciative. Thank you for sharing.💞
This is my favorite song in the world :)
Shivers to Ann's voice!
Rare and exceptional.
I was 13 and this was the first band I ever saw live. they opened up for ELO at the Pontiac Silverdome. Not a bad first concert for a 13 year old music lover huh?
Funny you should mention E.L.O. First time that I saw them was in 1976 in Toronto and the opening band was Meatloaf. What a great concert. I saw Heart two years later.
Wow heart and ELO?? Probably pretty comparable to heart and Foreigner 1977.
I love this song ❤😊
Beautiful seeing Roger and Nancy...
Belt it out Ann / Nancy !!! The absolute sweetest ladies in the history of music. Any era. Any genre. True masters and lovely beauties. Thank you so much for all the decades of incredible music you've given to the world. We're grateful and very lucky to have been alive , and grown up with this tremendous talent. ‼️‼️👍👍❤❤❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️❤️💖❤️
Absolutely love this song ♥️♥️♥️
My favorite Heart song!
one of the best bands ever and one of the best, strongest female voice ever- Ann.
Saw Heart during this tour in Springfield,Mo 2nd concert of my life it was fantastic 😍!!!
to me This song is Hearts best from the awesome guitar to the meaningful lyrics this song takes you there and if your frustrated or having a rough day just listen to LOVE ALIVE.
ann iz smokin in every way 🔥
I wish the audio and video were synchronized but I am still grateful to hear a live version of this incredible ethereal song.
Oh man was I born in the wrong era. I was born in 77 but obviously couldn’t experience this music as it was happening live. 15-20 years too late. Thank goodness for RUclips.
With Roger, Howard and Nancy that's a lot of strings going on there. Beautiful, some guitar magic for sure. I'm glad I wasn't a guitar tech on that tour.
I've seen we'll over 100 shows of all types of music these girls ranked in top 3. Great show awesome night
If ur reading this Rodger, just know that my face part of this entire vid is of u and Nancy guitar to guitar in the beginning. You 2 made beautiful music together ❤️
Thank you. I keep wondering what I was doing in 1977, it did involve Heart music when I listened to it. I wore out at least 2 Little Queen cassets.
So talented and everyone in this band is so purdy.
This is very cool. It looks like it was recovered from VHS. I saw them perform this song in August 1978 at the CNE Grandstand in Toronto. It was the Little Queen tour and it was amazing. It's in my top ten of any concerts I've been to. Thanks for posting this!
Another awesome band from Seattle!!!! Ann and Nancy voices are out of this world good!
I remember a snowy night in Pittsburgh that year. A lot of people stayed away because of the storm so it was relatively easy for 16 year old me to go right to the stage. This song still rings in my mind. So beautiful, so talented. Incredible song.
Love the 12 string with Nancy on that Ovation and of course Ann on vocals - wow
I'll never get tired of this beautiful song...and such an awesome performance. Rock royalty on display right here. Thanks for posting!
The beginning of my love of female voices with heavy rock music. Kinda like dynamics with loud and soft. These girls with the rest of the band of course were killer. Thanks for posting a video of legendary value.
Loved both back then and now!!!HEART!!. ANN ,NANCY!!
The dream has come true! This is a very rare video!
Будьте здоровы и счастливы!
That is rock royalty at its finest. Thank you for preserving this performance. The few video glitches only add to the authenticity of this relic; still relevant to this day.
I love this song
I wonder how many people haven't figured out who this channel is... Fantastic audio remastering.
I saw the 77 show in North Carolina at the Charlotte Coliseum. Ann’s voice was in full tune and Nancy hammered her Ovation acoustic all night long. Love Alive never fails to thrill this weary heart!
Wow. Nice work Ann.
Such a great Heart tune. Seriously underrated
Best advice a person could ever receive! ♥️🎶♥️🎶♥️🎶♥️🎶♥️
Been a top 5 favorite song of mine since it came out , awsome to see Roger , its kinda rare, well you know...thanks for posting...
Thanks for sharing these videos. Great stuff, and such a wonderful reminder of how good the band was in the 1970s!
One of my favorite Heart songs!
Great song and Video..♥

Love those girls!!!
This live version is almost a perfect copy of the original recording. ❤ Fantastic performance!
How are there not more likes?!
BEAUTIFUL!!
Absolutely beautiful guitar
Beautiful song! 🙂
Music this awesome will never be made again in this homogeneous, untalented music business we live with
Hold me in your love (Jack) 💝💓and keep your love alive !!! // Thanks for sharing!
Never forget hearing this song and others from the wings of the stage in Springfield MA. So powerful and magical. A dream come true. BEAUTIFUL
The finest female rock voice ever.
Amazing and magical. Thanks for.being a part of the soundtrack of my life.
The love of many shall wax cold in the end times. Roger keep your love and fire alive.
Hell yeah. First heard the first lp when I was on mercer Island as a seventh grader. Die hard fan ever since.
My first concert, Seattle 1977, with foreigner and tower of power opening. I was 14. Life changing to say the least.
Absolutely class.
I saw Roger at the Garlic festival near Arlington, epic, they did Kashmir... man, them was the days boy, rode my new Hayabusa to the garlic festival, that shoddy road getting in, so worth it.. why do so many good things have to end?
As Van Halen asked, where have all the good times gone?
Yes that was the same stage setup with the white cabs when we first saw you in Columbus oh at Vets Memorial. Later we saw you again in columbus at the Ohio State basketball arena. That was special because after the show Howard Leese was sitting on the edge of the stage and I went up and we started talking about guitars. Then he took me and my GF backstage to see all the guitars you all used. We still have the rose from the headstock of Nancy's Adamas, some heart picks and autographed photos you handed out. Then we went back out front and all of you had come out for a meet and greet and food. Ann had a little dog with her. Great lifetime memories. Also along this same line of songs, was Mistral Wind and your guitar with the LED's in the neck. Are there any videos of that? I have searched before and found nothing with that guitar. Unforgettable moments for sure. Thanks.
awesome story. howard had a lot of class

Thank you for posting!
Anne’s head bobbing at 2:40 gets me every time!
So good.
I know I saw this tour in either Springfield or New Haven. At 18 years old, I was seriously infatuated with Ann Wilson!
The most apt description of have ever heard about the effects of the Wilson sisters came from Creem Magazine when the reviewer of one of the early shows said " it made the entire front row of guys feel like they had a banana daiquiri pour down their pants ! All these years later I'm still wondering how too get a banana daiquiri out of my trousers ?
Saw this tour. Great live performers.
