Out of the characters sigmas is the one I'm most interested in exploring further and learning more about him
Yes, canonically, Sigma is being used as a living weapon by Talon (yes its pronounced like it looks, no funky pronunciations here). From what I've seen, its assumed hes being controlled through similar methods that were used to initially physiologically break and then rebuild Widowmaker into the assassin she is today, courtesy of Moira. It's not super clear to me if Sombra is really alright with how Sigma is being treated, but there ARE ingame voicelines between Sombra and Moira implying she knows what hes going through and wants it to stop.
Fun fact, in case you havent noticed, the same music and reversed voices that play in the origin story ALSO play in game when Sigma ults. I forget the exact name of the piece, but its classical and is famous for ignoring the usual rules of musical theory, making it sound both more free and more unnerving, since it doesnt have a fixed pattern
Edit: I cant verify that the musical peice is actually a something made way back in the past, but I CAN say theres a version of it on the overwatch youtube if you wanted to listen to it on its own

If you want to see something trippy, imagine what Sigma's voice actor looks like, then find a video. Keep in mind the voice actor is Dutch and voices both languages
You should watch the video "Complete history and lore of overwatch" by TSN
It summarizes pretty well the overwatch history and makes you understand the parts of the plot that the cinematics and origin stories leave out
There is not only the words you missed in Sigma short, but also i guess, you playing enough of games to recognize some sounds, when sigma is on bed you can hear a gunshots in backgroud and you can recognize those gun sounds is Reapers shotguns and Widowmaker sniper/gun, so those two a specially reliese him. Also there is sth creepy in his for a split of seconds before everything is going silence Sigma gonna smile to you. In Sigma Origin Story (orginal not backward) smile is around 1:14 - 1:17 just watch it slow and you will see. Also there is video to lern a complete story of Overwatch and you will see who really is the big bad.

They are not hidden messages, they are in the original as well. The game devs just reverse it because it sounds cool. Not a message at all.
