    I absolutely love that he poured everything into his son! I wished more fathers would take heed.
    *EDIT: This was not a dig to fathers that actually try to be there but are in unfortunate circumstances & This isn’t even a race issue. I simply said “FATHERS”. This is dedicated to the ABSENT fathers who CHOOSE to be absent. It’s sad now a days you have to explain the obvious. What’s understood shouldn’t have to be explained smh.

      Lmaoooooo, you do know that “black” fathers are the MOST involved fathers out of ALL groups in the home right, and have been acknowledged as so for decades now. I only say “have been acknowledged” because most “black” people only listen if someone pale says it. The problem is most of us get our “knowledge” from media, or from the consistent bad decisions people make. You can’t go to McDonald’s, and buy Big Mac’s for years, then later get upset cause they also didn’t sell filet mignon. There is a SMALL percentage of “black” dudes that are pieces of sh*t as fathers, the majority are great fathers. Don’t fall into the BS, cause that’s all those narratives are, BS.

    • @kia_jones5-17
      @kia_jones5-17 Год назад +16

      Agreed, it seems like he's a great father and role model! I feel like it's rare to hear about a father willing to put their career second in favor of being more involved with their children, very admirable indeed.

    • @MickFurious931
      @MickFurious931 Год назад +14

      Tbh, there’s a lot of us that do…but we don’t seek shoutouts for it. Additionally, there’s a lot to be said for some mothers out here that either don’t allow them to see their children due to relationship issues…and/or seeking more child support when some fathers don’t have enough to get by themselves. Hear me clearly…I AGREE WITH YOU…but there’s a lot to be said about fathers that are there, but hurt in silence.

    Back in my NY club days, I met both of them, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall at a club called "10-18". It was a huge warehouse club on 10th Ave. and 18th St. There was a glass VIP area that hung over the masses on the dance floor and Eddie would look down at the girls and point to the ones he liked while his bodyguards would go down and whisper in their ear..off they went...hehe! Arsenio on the other hand was the coolest cat there. First time I met him we sat on a VIP sofa and spoke for an hour! Just shooting the shit, talking about life. Total gentleman! And he remembered me again as if I was a long lost friend...charisma for sure! A year later, he got his own show...I was totally "Dog Rooting" for him!

      "The Powers That Be" and "The Tribe Who Shall Not Be Named" don't want attention paid towards Louis Farrakhan. They had Nick Cannon begging for forgiveness and ViacomCBS fired him. Other shows have been forced to cancel interviews with Farrakhan and other NOI figures. VladTV got into a fight with Lord Jamar and Godfrey over their support of Farrakhan, and the two stopped coming on his show.

    I loved the original Arsenio Hall show. Arsenio is a one of a kind talent. It interesting that you didn't mention what happened to Arsenio after he had that interview with Louis Farrakhan. He lost his show. The people that run the entertainment industry seen Louis Farrakhan as an anti-Semit . There was a big up roar about Arsenio doing that show and they took it away from him. They gave him a sitcom about a year later. It was on for a few weeks and then it got cancelled. It's like they were playing with him. After that nothing for a long time. Then he got his XM Radio show and a couple years after that he was finally able to return to TV doing the talk show we all know and love. It got cancelled after a year. Those folks that run the entertainment indy are brutal. If you cross them they will make you pay. Kanye knows this as well.

    On the day after the LA Riots/Rebellion, the city was tense. Smoke filled the air. Army soldiers were sandbagged into strip malls. South central LA was darn near destroyed. Arsenio did a show at the high school to bring the community together. Amid the tension, anger and heartbreak, he brought people together to talk. And listen. I was there. Profound respect for him.
