I actually had to live in my dad's storage unit that was about that big but it had a toilet built into it and a fridge so it wasn't too bad. Still sucked because it got hot in there.

You are digging through the belongings of a hero.......big time war hero with the flying cross. That award is given to the recipient only with direct orders from the President..those models are trivial in comparison. If you can find the family, they should have that medal.

Had to. Enjoy so much. The History and Legacy of this Gentleman would be fantastic and should be told. WWII Vet and Hero. The planes. The P-51 Mustang is just one of the USA's best fighter planes ever designed and built. Even today's pilots whoever get the rare chance to fly one
love them. Their agility, speed , power not to mention their killer looks is still hard to beat even today. I'm glad you guys will try to get the Medals and personal items back to the family.

This unit was great but not better than the 2 units with all the money and antiques that you took a month to go through!
That not an umbrella, it's a parasol. They can have good value. I've sold some for over a hundred bucks in rough shape. Worth the time to research it.
I'm wondering if the cloth in the side pocket of the bag is the kind you lay in your lap when soldering so that any aberrant solder won't burn your...um...lap. That unit could solve the national coin shortage. LOL Amazing unit.

the umbrella u found he probably was going to use the material for something with the planes, my husband builds all them from scratch too.
The last medal, I think was the silver star...if it was its just under the big one, MOH.
