This is a fantastic overview and great part 1 on the Win600! I don't know if you have plans to cover it but I did a good spread on Wii U emulation with batocera and the results were really good. Looking forward to the next part! 🤗

Really enjoying this video. Game tech and these vids have helped keep me sober a long time. Debating getting one of these as I mainly cloud but would love something that has windows native. Have some older titles I could play native too.
I think people need to remember. This is also expensive because you can get it NOW. Versus it's competition.
So far, from what I've seen on the Internet, almost everyone who's gotten one of these, have been enjoying it.
Underpowered? Yes.
Overpriced? Yes.
Bad analog placement? Arguably, yes.
But, if you plan on light pc gaming, emulation up to 6th gen console games, don't mind the price tag and want it as soon as it can ship to you.
Then the Win600 isn't a bad option.

Almost got this(Win600 3050E), then almost got an AYA NEO Air Pro(5560U), when it was on sale.
Just talked myself into waiting for the AYA NEO Air Plus. It will most likely be announced sometime this month or February.

I don't own a win600 nor a steamdeck but I honestly don't think it is "overpriced". Is it underpowered? Possibly when we compare to say Steamdeck or Ayaneo or Onexplayer, but that is why it is not $1000+ like the latter 2! Also as other has commented already that Valve sells the steamdeck so cheap because they can get the cash back from game purchases, the fact that most people ignored this fact and calling all these non-valve handheld overpriced sounds a bit of a "premature opinion" to me. I wonder what kind of gaming laptop we can get for the same price of win600 and would that be a portable gaming laptop, I highly doubt it.
Also, let's not forget Windows license itself cost like $100 already....

Thanks! Great points. This device is definitely an option for a lot of people especially considering you can get it now and it is ultimately a PC (with user upgradeable RAM and Storage to boot).
I'm just running steam OS standalone and have had good luck so far.

Yeah, this system is definitely underrated! It seems like it's expensive compared to the Steam Deck, but it's not really fair to compare the two. The only reason Valve is able to sell their system at such a low price is because the Deck is subsidized by the sale of Steam games. And the Win600 does have a couple of minor advantages that usually go overlooked. I find the Win600 to be way more comfortable to hold in my medium sized hands, though the analog sticks are placed a little too low for my liking. Also, the Win600 is a WAY batter system for game streaming! PS Plus, Xbox Cloud, GeForce Now, and Stadia all work perfectly right out of the box on the Win600! This lets me play TONS of AAA games without destroying my battery or using up any disk space! Streaming services are iffy at best on the Steam Deck, and some don't work at all!! Lastly, GOG is better supported on the Win600, so if you want to play classic Windows games on your PC this is a great option!

Is the M.2 upgradable on these units as well? I have mine coming in a few days and wanted to get the RAM upgrade at least, but if I could upgrade the HD as well? Aces.

Dude how to you put this device to sleep? It does not ever go to sleep on standby
You should try Citra either on Linux or using the new AMD OpenGL driver as that'd improve performance quite a bit

This is the 3050e. They’re both similar but the 3050e will give you slightly more power.
Too bad you didn't get the new ocean version to see what's what.
It's the same device but with 1TB storage and 16GB ram. It's all generic storage and RAM so I'm happier with the upgrades I made to this unit.
I overwhelming prefer Windows to the other OS! I am NOT a fan of Linux!
