Let’s not forget that both Steve Rodgers & Bucky are recipients of the Super Soldier Formula in which each man has the strength level of 10+ trained Soldiers
Not exactly correct. Steve is the only one to receive the Super Soldier Serum. Bucky got a weaker knock-off. Steve is obviously stronger- Bucky's metal arm couldn't even take him down. Steve had to literally refuse to fight back for Bucky to "win" a fight.
@@TheJayneOC ..... According to Marvel Comics Bucky was indeed the second successful administration of the Super Soldier Formula. Johann Schmidt’s injection is not considered a complete success as he became the Red Skull. From Marvel Comics ... marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Super_Soldier_Serum
@@TheJayneOC ..... You are correct I believe. I struggle at times with the Cinematic adaptations. The Films aren’t necessarily honest to the original stories
@@robertnewell4054 but we're talking film continuity correct? If so, then the scope of Bucky's experiments aren't elaborate on beyond 'what Zola did to him must have helped him survive the fall' (this video inspired a Winter Soldier re-watch last night haha). So by comics, for sure; by MCU, pretty sure Cap is the only one with the true serum in him. Hydra had a knock-off used to make the Winter Solider/the Winter Crew (forget their name).
I can literally hear the echoed screech from the score signature for Winter Soldier in my head. It’s so bad ass. Watching Episode 3 From Falcon and WS and hearing that sound again just makes it so much more amazing!
A few years back they did a breakdown of the shield the Spartans used in combat and ran a full power edge strike through a force gauge. It ended up being a ridiculous amount of force due to the small point of contact along the shield's edge. Now put that into the hands of a guy that can hold helicopters in place, casually lift Harleys with a trio of ladies on them, and punch with enough force to dent and stagger a ten foot robot. That's a LOT of force.
I've been binge watching all of these, almost entirely because its so interesting, like im learning a lot, but at the same time, theyre so charismatic. I feel compelled to listen.
Thank you so much for the awesome comment! While you're watching these breakdowns, if you feel there are anyways we can improve or if you simply have a fight scene to request, let us know!
Most people think Superman is a brawler that relies on his powers in fights. But he actually is a trained fighter, taught by both Batman and Wonder Woman. In some continuities, he's also trained in two forms of kryptonian martial arts.
Love or hate the movie, I think MoS really showed the difference between a farm boy w/ little to no training vs trained soldiers. DC film continuity vs Comics, obviously.
I love Logan's deadpan delivery of his jokes. I feel like as you guys do more and more of these more of your personality comes out. Keep up the good work!
I've seen a kali practioner reacted to this fight scene on another channel too. Now as a long time comic book reader as well as fan of the comic movies thank u for this . You guys brought your knowledge as well as you respected the source material. This also is one of the best fight scenes in the MCU. This also showed how much Cap evolved in combat from his first movie to The Avengers. Loved the breakdown good job
My favorite fight scene of all time is the fight outside the bar in Jack Reacher. It didn't have a lot of cuts, or the earthquakey camera movements, and it really brought the standard up for Hollywood fight scenes. I'm not sure how realistic the Keysi Fighting Method is, but for the camera it looks really cool. I just wish they would've had more of that energy in the second Reacher movie. I've seen other youtubers break that fight down but I'd love to see them break that down.
Tom Cruise is always great in his action films. He does his best to do his own stunts that's why the cameras aren't shakey. The fight outside the bar in Jack Reacher is awesome.

Great to see you guys leaning into the lore and exploring how that affects the fight dynamics! Would it be possible for you guys to bring in some kind of training dummy? Would love to see Chad and Logan fully demonstrate some of the more dangerous moves.

Glad to hear it! I know you've been watching all our videos since Day 1 so it's nice to see that you're also noticing Chad and Logan become more comfortable on camera. We will continue to do what we do and improve which each video.
To give Logan Lo some more love, I highly suggest the 1v10 fight in The Final Master. It's definitely one of the little known movies inspired by Ip Man amongst the clones, but the MC here specializes in butterfly knives and goes through a gauntlet of weapon masters. What sets itself apart from other Chinese martial arts films is its relatively slow pace: the circling, the checking, the trapping, the strategy etc. It could very well be sluggish fighting, but I personally found it more realistic and artistic to have this slow, improv-like choreography with an array of Chinese weapons. I'm sure most people wouldn't know this movie, which is why I want to pitch this so strongly, because it looks like there's a lot of knife work to talk about.
In defense for the knife flip change. If I’m equal with my opponent and he change blade hand in the middle of a combo and continue to attack. I will immediately be shiting my pants like “he is way to comfortable with that knife, what else he can do that I need to be careful with?” And die for being too distracted.

cool vid! I personally thought the point of the standing armlock was that Winter Soldier's arm has articulated plate on the exterior, and cap manages to jam the edge of his shield between two segments of plate which gives him an unexpected 'grip' close to the shoulder rather than just a wedge under the arm. With some upward force applied through the shield while the wrist control is pulling downwards this gives decent control to prevent any rotation of the shoulders for a second while Buckey's still trying to catch up mentally and figure out how to strip the unorthodox grip. Cool example of cap's high fight IQ / improv and ability to get steps ahead of his opponent. At least this is how I justify a standing armlock that would never work in the real world to be okay here so I can enjoy the film haha.

YEAAA the fight scene between Steve and Bucky in the street was one of the best I've ever seen, I love it. It's so cool
@@ianw5663 .... You are 💯 on point. I am consistently challenged on how they adapt Characters from Ink to Film.

Sweet Captain America shield!!
Chad is hilarious. It was hard for him to give up the Captain America shield after our fight scene breakdown, because he loved holding it so much.
I can literally hear the echoed screech from the score signature for Winter Soldier in my head. It’s so bad ass. Watching Episode 3 From Falcon and WS and hearing that sound again just makes it so much more amazing!
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier it's so good! I highly recommend it on Disney+
Yeah that thing would easily cut a man in half
THAT'S A LOT OF DAMAGE!
Sorry, I had to ...
The fact you guys are professional, funny, informative and concise is so amazing. Please, never stop doing what you're doing. Sub for life.
Most people think Superman is a brawler that relies on his powers in fights. But he actually is a trained fighter, taught by both Batman and Wonder Woman. In some continuities, he's also trained in two forms of kryptonian martial arts.
Fair, I forgot about Batman training Clark but never knew the other three facts. Cool comment!
I guess they were going by his depiction in the films
Yeah once Supes took it serious he became a good fighter. But WW dusted his ass the first time they fought 🤣🤣
Love or hate the movie, I think MoS really showed the difference between a farm boy w/ little to no training vs trained soldiers.
DC film continuity vs Comics, obviously.
@@slimmccoy8863 you do realize the farm boy won the fight, right?
I love Logan's deadpan delivery of his jokes. I feel like as you guys do more and more of these more of your personality comes out. Keep up the good work!
I've seen a kali practioner reacted to this fight scene on another channel too. Now as a long time comic book reader as well as fan of the comic movies thank u for this . You guys brought your knowledge as well as you respected the source material. This also is one of the best fight scenes in the MCU.
This also showed how much Cap evolved in combat from his first movie to The Avengers. Loved the breakdown good job
"Showing someone that you know what you're doing..." This has got to be the best point I ever heard in a martial arts review video.
Sometimes showing someone that you know what you're doing is enough to get them to stand-down.
Definitely gotta do more marvel, I was thinking there was a couple cool sword fights in the first episode of the Witcher on Netflix I’d love to see you guys break down
this is the perfect channel for me, i love analyzing fights in movies and thinking of different ways of doing fights in those scenarios
And we are happy to have you here with us! If you have any recommendations for fight scene breakdowns, please let us know!
"We'll break it down a little bit"

Logan was having flashbacks of his AoT Breakdown: ruclips.net/video/p_Gg5vgamxI/видео.html where Chad almost choked him out a few times lol.
@@ScenicFights That was painful to watch!
Winter soldier has to be one of the most menacing antagonists
Here looked forward to this for a long-time; this scene got me into martial arts!
You guys should do the hallway fight scene in daredevil (the show ofc)
@MOHITH CHANDRA honestly, i like the fights in agents of shield more...
Just a reminder why this is one of my favorite youtube channels out there! Keep up the fantastic work you guys!
Happy to hear our fight scene breakdowns continue to entertain you. Is there any other fight scene that you'd like to see us breakdown next for you?
@@ScenicFights as a total marvel nerd and one I'm sure you guys have already been recommended:

You guys are awesome, thank you!
I think Winter Soldier was a bit dazed after the suplex (or maybe tired out) because his swings seem wilder and less controlled after Steve gets back the shield. Might explain why he didn’t respond properly to the shield strike on his metal arm
I can`t go to the GYM and train because the pandemic is pretty bad in Brazil, so i`m watching all the videos from this channel and it`s helping me a lot. Keep up with the great work guys
Glad our fight scene breakdowns are helping you with your training! Is there any other fight scene you'd like to see us breakdown to further help you out?
I`m a orange belt in judo and a blue belt in BJJ, i also train boxe, so anything on these three would be great
It’s crazy how much the channel has improved over the past two years or so, the production, explanations, chemistry, camera presence and personalities of everyone is so great. I love how passionate everyone is about it too. This channel deserves way more subs and I always show my sparring partners the channel because we all need out over vids like these lol. Keep up the amazing work to everyone involved.
We love reading comments like this! You’re the reason why we continue to upload videos and do our very best to improve. Thank you!
Great to see you guys leaning into the lore and exploring how that affects the fight dynamics! Would it be possible for you guys to bring in some kind of training dummy? Would love to see Chad and Logan fully demonstrate some of the more dangerous moves.
Chad - "He looked great doing it"
Logan - "FOCUS!"
lolol
"Brother from a chinese mother" I'm gonna start using that with my friends regardless of their ethnic background.
lmao! You and I both.
I get a much more relaxed vibes now from you guys yet keeping it on point during the breakdown parts. The real personality coming out and it's great.
Love it boyos!
The Final Master? Hm, I don't think I heard of that one. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm gonna go check it out.
In defense for the knife flip change. If I’m equal with my opponent and he change blade hand in the middle of a combo and continue to attack. I will immediately be shiting my pants like “he is way to comfortable with that knife, what else he can do that I need to be careful with?” And die for being too distracted.
Wow thank you guys for doing a breakdown scene for this fight !

Wow! Great breakdown, you look like you having a lot of fun. I like the fact that both of you could breakdown different part of the fight, the show is evolving and its pleasant to watch. 10/10
We do our best to take advice from subscribers like yourself and improve with each fight scene breakdown.
Thank you so much for the comment and support. It means a lot to us!
I really like the way y'all talk about fights and fighting in general I think it's really insightful beyond what the application you're doing it for could be. Take me a writer for example I really appreciate the breakdowns cus it helps me avoid being unrealistic in a fight scene/setting so that doesn't remove my audience from the immersion. Nice work y'all.
Thank you! We love when our work can help writers think about fight scenes more. A proper fight scene can be an excellent source of character development. On the flip side, it can also destroy immersion if a character (that is suppose to know how to fight in universe) doesn't know how to fight correctly.
What I loved the most about this was how this wasn't any different from any other breakdown we just all had to accept these are super powered people and then it all makes sense
As a nerd I loved it so much thx for this guy's 💗
We love this superpowered stuff. Feel free to subscribe and recommend what other superhero fight scenes we should breakdown next!
I am a 6 foot 340 pound black man and you 2 have me screaming and giggling like a 13 year old girl at a New Edition concert in 97!!!!! Yeah I went back. 😁 I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!!!
I’ve been bingeing these fight breakdowns. They’re awesome. If you’re open to requests, it might be cool to add a little James Bond to the channel. There are some good things to work with in the Casino Royale stairwell fight, and/or the Quantum of Solace knife fight.
Thanks for being a fan of the channel! I hope you subscribe. Which fight scene do you like more? Casino Royale Staircase fight or the Quantum of Solace Knife Fight?
You guys are so much fun to watch, you are like the Top Gear of fights.
We're honored to be compared to a classic show like Top Gear, the original group had some great chemistry.
Pls do punisher series fights breakdown
The punisher fight scene in the bathroom where he uses his shirt or jacket !
Or in the Russian gym with the weights and barbells
And daredevil!!!
Gooood! Frank's fights in DD and S2 of The Punisher were fucking gorgeous! There's this one episode where Frank has a 9mm and has to kill like 6 guys and they was getting ready to gang up on him and he simply slide as if he was skating and emptied the whole magazine on them and Jesus, WAS IT BEAUTIFUL stunt coordination.
This channel is seriously my favourite at the moment! Loved the video! Also I'd like to see the punisher series breakdowns in the future
I still remember that i commented the breakdown of Captain America winter soldier highway fight sequence at the time you guys were at 45k subs now you guys are close to 100k i hope you guys to reach 1 million soon and let goooo🔥

Great episode guys! I liked so much that Chad breakdown more and more the hand to hand combat and not only the grappling part. Very good job as always.
great breakdown, keeping in mind both the real and cinematic universe and also showing how the real life scenarios without superhuman powers
Civil War was such a good movie, I remember a video essay on it that I watched mentioning the contrast between the aerial airport fight and the desperate, animal like fight at the end. I wonder if they'll cover the end fight as well?
I like that you took into account the context of the universe it's in in this video. Nice video
We're doing our best to take account of the lore moving forward. Glad to hear positive feedbacks from you.
I love how they did a quick close up of the arm bending back making a cool sound as the badass music plays then the knife flip and holy shit The Winter Soldier is one of the best characters ever made
I love how you're taking something from a superhero universe, where there is such things as superpowers and "vibranium," and taking it into the "real" world. Interestingly, I did actually learn something real, and perhaps useful (hope not), from this.

Awesome! This is one of my fav fights in the entire MCU
Awesome video as always
it would be pretty cool if you guys could break down the final fight between solid snake and liquid snake(the cinematic part is pretty cool)
Can you do the Mission Impossible Bathroom fight scene? One of my favourite fight scenes!!
I hope you'll do more breakdowns of Marvel fight scenes. Specifically the Captain Amerca ones. This was a great video.
This was a great Breakdown please do the Batman V. Superman Warehouse fight scene next!

It would be cool if you guys redo the fight scene but with all the things you said it makes sense to make the fight more "realistic" and finish with the same outcome.
Cool video, keep it up!👍🏻
Have been waiting for this! Definitely the best one-on-one fight in the Marvel movies - excellent breakdown fellas!
EDIT: 9:37 - hahaha - 'focus man'
I requested this breakdown!!! you're welcome guys,
Awesome video, as a martial arts and comic book geek this is one of my top 3 favorite marvel movies
The knife flip could've been to make Steve think he was switching grip to defocus him for a split second until he realized the grip didn't switch. But a split second is all he would need.

Makes even more sense why he used the MK2 knife because it's modeled after a ww2 weapon and Bucky was in...ww2. Really great breakdown and assess guys!🎖
Great choice by the wardrobe/production team. The Gerber Mark II is the perfect knife for a character like Winter Soldier.
@@ScenicFights absolutely! Classic Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife goodness! That system was VICIOUS! No slicing the throat of the enemy crap...it was impale the throat, twist, turn and repeat. Serious combat application stuff!
I watched all your videos in a row yesterday and I was thinking I wish there was more. This is great!
We really appreciate the support! We have more fight scene breakdowns on the way for you to watch. Which one has been your favorite breakdown?
@@ScenicFights Attack on Titan was my favorite but that's just because I'm a bit of a nerd haha. I normally have nothing to do with fighting so you should know that these are fun to watch for everyone!
That's the goal! To make these fun for everyone regardless if they have a marital arts background or not. I'm glad we're succeeding in that.
@@ScenicFights Definitely succeeding and I'm excited to see more!
