Intro to Unity Shaders; An Artists Guide

  • Follow along as I explore my limited knowledge of shaders! I'll let you know how the basics work along with getting your first one set up in unity. This is from my personal experience of learning shaders, and is very intro. More in depth look at making specific shaders later!

    this is great. loved it.
    i'm just starting to learn shader and shader graph.
    To answer your call, from what i gathered so far, uv is equivalent to xy. (because in the alphabet table, S...T.. ..U...V...W. .... .X..Y..Z... very origional , yup)
    because the name xyz is taken, so they use uvw to represent the coordinates. The W is for in and out of the texture like normals (yes, there is a W, but its use for internal computation as they said)
    and since the uv is always a 2D texture, we users, only need the UV to XY coordinate, hence, the name UV.
    I'm trying to make a 2D jelly shader that wobbles when you move.
    Can you romantically hold my hands and show me how to do it....
