So many fun gifts!! I know the girls have been having so much fun with the chickens!!! I really appreciate the books from Dagmoon and Samantha!! Such thoughtful gifts and friends!! ❤
I'm so happy you're enjoying Kisses from Katie. I have read her second book as well. What thoughtful gifts you received! Thinking about your family doing the nightly chicken slingshots made me laugh 🤣
Tammy, this was a nice video to warm the heart. ❤️ You did great with books as I dnf’d many this month but of course the suggestion of Hello This is The Gillespies you suggested. I thought I was done with Christmas books but I just downloaded Christmas At Thompson Hall as it sounds good and I will be finishing up a book I am reading now and can squeeze in this book. Thanks for many different kinds of books you post and if I don’t see you on Booktubers have a wonder Christmas z🙂🎄☃️🎅❄️❤️
It's great to hear that you're going to give Thompson Hall a try! I hope you love it! And the Gillespies book is a favorite for sure. The letter she sent out to everyone...😲 LOL!!!!! And I hope you are having a lovely, lovely week, Estherjane. 🥰
I just finished the Trollope story as well. He's one of the authors I'm trying to read to zero. I loved all the Dickens references in that one, especially taking the story from the Pickwick Papers of getting lost and going in the wrong room of a hotel. I loved it.
@Fernie4243 This was my first reading of Trollope. I was surprised at how humorous the story was. Do you have a recommendation of what I should read next by him?
@believeinyourshelf That was the funniest thing I've read of his, so they won't all be like that. The Warden is the beginning of the Barsetshire series, which is the series people like the most and it is a shorter book than he usually writes, but it will give you a feel for that style. He also does satire well. The Way We Live Now is good for that; it's also one of his longest.
I also read 3 books this past week - Thrown for a Scoop by Dana Mentink, Who Are You Following? by Sadie Robertson Huff (non-fiction), and A Killer Hold by Leah Dobrinska. I really enjoyed all of them. I don't know if I've ever told you this before but I'm a birder. Birding is the hobby I do when not reading and I belong to a birding club in my area. Birds are definitely wonderful providing us beautiful music everyday. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄🎅🎁
Hey there, fellow birder! 🐦🕊🦅🦉🦜🐦⬛ No, I didn't know you enjoyed birding as a hobby. I love that you even belong to a birding club. The older I get, the more I enjoy birds. I wonder if we have a club in our area. I'll have to check into that. 🤔 Also, Thrown for a Scoop is on my tbr. I'm glad you liked it; makes me want to read it SOON! 🥰 🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶
@@believeinyourshelf You should definitely see if you have a birding club in your area. They are getting more popular now. When I joined my club years ago, there were around 150 members and now there are over 400 members. We go on field trips to the local forest preserves to bird and they get speakers to come to our meetings. It all started because of the one New Years resolution I make each year to try something new. Birding, cozy mysteries, and blogging were all winning resolutions!
@@believeinyourshelf Well that ain't nice. I may just have to woo some cockroaches--cuz you know I'm learning how from my book--and put them in your shoes. Who will be the one laughing then, hm??? 🪳🪳🪳😁
Have you read any of the books Noel Streatfeild wrote as Susan Scarlett for adults? I’d recommend starting with Babbacombe’s. Hope I haven’t mentioned that one on here before.
@ Clothes Pegs was the only other one I have read so far. I heard Pirouette wasn’t as good. But I plan to read the rest. A fun, light read for this season is Iris in Winter by Elizabeth Cadell. It’s cute and there’s some humorous parts. I found it on Kindle. She’s another author that has some nice sweet books for when you’re in the mood for something lighter.
Sweet, sweet Samantha! I clapped my hands with delight learning she filled in the remaining William Johnstone Christmas books for your mom. I teared up too. 🥹🌟 I heard that drinking eggnog waiting for the merry rubber chickens dangling from the ceiling to plop off is the suggested tradition if you don't have chestnuts to roast on an open fire. For the first time ever, Tammy, I skipped through part of one of your videos. It hurt my heart but seeing your smiles and chuckles at just mentioning that Christmas story by Anthony Trollope convinced me I should read it before watching. I'll come back after and watch what I missed. A couple of Trollopes are on my TBR after I enjoyed several of his novels made into TV series. Just what isn't on my Mt. Everest TBR you might rightly wonder. Since subscribing to you the answer is: not much.😜
Wonderful gifts!! Merry Christmas to you all!
@@lizziefayelovesbooks Merry Christmas to you, too, Elizabeth! ❤️🎄

Me too! So cute, right? ❤️🎄
What lovely gifts! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! 🎄🎅🦌🎁❤
Thank you! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas, too! ❤️🎄
Congrats on 400 subs!
Thanks so much! ❤️
I read Thursday's Child many years ago, as well as some others by Noel Streatfield and remember enjoying them.
Babbacombe's is also a great story written under her pen name, Susan Scarlett. 😊
Christmas at Thompson Hall was in a collection of short stories I read this month. I enjoyed it too! Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to you, too! I hope you had a wonderful week of reading.
Merry Christmas! Birds are so much fun and interesting creatures.

We Ride the Gale sounds familiar, I think I must have that one I know I have a couple of that authors books.
Those were some awesome gifts!

@catreadsbooks Nope, no club anywhere near me. 😭 But I'm going to check every now and then in hopes that one day there will be one.
Tammy, ok, if you had to choose between a mustard plaster or an onion plaster (remember? 😉) which would you choose?
