Great job! I have two HF mixers with burnt up electric motors. I searched awhile for someone who did that conversion. I also bought the cheapo 6 HP motor. Did you change outside pully diameters at all?
Thanks, yeah I swapped all the parts for air conditioner parts. New belts and pulleys. Honestly I got rid of it a while back so I can't remember everything I did to it
Brian why the 6 hp and not the 3 hp predator?? Maybe the plate on the motor would not flex as much?? I looking to do this same thing but going to try the 3hp predator. Did the belt pulley off the electric motor mount to the predator motor shaft??
To be honest the price of the motor was appealing and the little tag for the motor said it could be used on mixers so i said fuck it jaja. And no the pulley on the electric motor was to small it was for a 1/2" shaft and the predator motor uses a 3/4". I just bought a bigger pulley from home depot. You can find them in the a/c parts. Im not sure what size shaft the 3hp has but it should say on the box
Good bro I just need to weld a support bracket so it's not leaning but eventually I will make a better plate I just used what I had on hand at the time
Nice job I just bought a harbor freight cement mixer and I want to do the same you did
I did it...maybe 2 hours total. Working great.

About to do a similar swap but I don't think I need that much speed, lol.
Yeah that was the first time turning it on so once I threw concrete it just started sticking ti the barrel but once I tweaked it a little it was fine
Looks like it's spinning too fast to mix properly.
You got that right
I have another video with it mixing concrete just click on my youtube chanel thing

@@elcheche6561 Thank you for the info this will help. The 3 hp predator shaft is a 5/8" . Looks like I would need to buy a pulley.
How is that engine plate holding up?

@@elcheche6561 I just bought the same mixer. I have a 2hp briggs n Stratton I took off an old reel type mower I wanna try this. Thanks
