That's an awesome cake, but instead of using all that fondant, why not just icing the cake, & use paper templates, & place them on the cake & airbrush the house & same for the sun, so there's bot so much thick sweet stuff
You make a great point! I’d actually just airbrush the buttercream if I were to do it again
@@JaniesSweets i wouldn't use fondant on any cake, but i see people using it all the time, & I'm left thinking ( WHY) ? its only necessary to use it when a certain type of product won't stick to the butter cream icing, for some reason, people all think it's a must used thing, when it's absolutely almost never necessary, but they still do it, my opinion is in this, is they think it makes them look like a better & talented cake maker, not saying this about this in this particular situation, or with your cakes, but possibly, you've been schooled by a person like that, or you've been following cake makers that use this style, don't know, even the hat could of been made a different way, but fondant with the hat would've probably been easier, but i think I'd of tried making it outta of a piece of cake block, just to see how it turned out after trying to form the hat like that, but wow that was an amazing beautiful looking cake, great job on your colors, wow i loved it
