Considering all the things Brent Smith(the singer) has gone through and overcome he is such a upbeat, caring person. I’ve been to 3 of his concerts in the last 6 years and at every one of them he is always trying to inspire people to be caring and to just be a decent person to everybody. And it doesn’t hurt that he has one of the best voices out there! I’ve LOVED!!!! Shinedown since the first moment I heard the song 45/fly from the inside (not sure which was first lol) almost 20 years ago!!! I know just about every song by them including their rare demos, live and acoustic covers and the songs Brent has done with other bands. I think they will always make good music!
I tell everyone that happens to find themselves talking music with me, Shinedown is one of the best shows you'll see live. It's not just a concert, it's an experience. I've seen them 3 times myself and they get better EVERY. TIME. I actually get misty eyed when the show ends because it's never "goodbye", it's just til' next time. I can't wait for Smith & Myers 2.
Joshua Sutton I know, I love the Smith and Meyers versions of in the air tonight and someone like you, and have you heard not strong enough by apocalyptica ft Brent Smith on vocals?
You may be a Christian and I may be an Atheist (former Christian) but I can absolutely agree "love sticks around." I love this song, it's message crosses any religion or belief system.
Modern Renaissance Man, Often imitated, never duplicated. You have the most honest reaction to great music. I've seen others, but they all seem fake. Thanks for being true.
This is an absolute BANGER live. Eric Bass, the bass player (go figure) plays the keys and oh my word! Pure gold. This album got a LOT of hate from Shinedown "fans" because of it's "poppy" tendencies and lack of heaviness. THIS album reinvented Shinedown. It redefined what it meant to be a rock band. They really hit some deep subjects (per the usual) and fleshed out an entire album with the fans in mind. These guys will forever remain in my top 5. Great reaction Ty, thank you for again revisiting Shinedown. I will never tire of you doing Shinedown reax. God bless.
I enjoy Shine down & their messages. This was good, I wouldnt say Id do on playlist for myself, but I do enjoy hearing them when i have before. I prefer their messages vs their music. Their music is very similar every time but their messages are always heartfelt, which I love.
I like Shinedown’s cover better. The guitarist in the video married Ronnie’s daughter of Lynyrd Skynyrd that was killed in a plane crash. The little girl at the end of the video is Ronnie’s granddaughter and she was holding his picture. Ronnie’s widow asked them to do this cover. Alot of people don’t know this. 🤘🏼🔥
I've heard and enjoyed other songs by Shinedown, but I hadn't heard this one before. I really REALLY liked it though! And yeah, it does have a very good message. I just checked because I couldn't quite remember, but you've done quite a few reactions to this group. There's still a few that I'd like to strongly recommend: "I Dare You" (which is still my favorite of theirs, and is what got me into their music in the first place), and "Diamond Eyes".
Please try listening to Laura Nyro she wrote And When I Die, Wedding Bell Blues, Eli's Coming, Stoned Soul Picnic, Sweet Blindness, Save The Country, and sang with Patt La Belle, on Bells, It's Gonna Take A Miracle 2012 inducted into rock and roll Hall of Fame
Ty, I stopped being religious when I accepted Christ as a Personal Saviour. A church that I used to attend gave me a signet ring when I accepted Christ; on it is enscribed "agave" in the Old Greek.
That was a good song with your usual thoughtful commentary. Since you are one of the more prolific reactors out there with a lot of variety, I hope you will react again to the phenomenal Courtney Hadwin. Over a year ago you were shocked like 200 million others with her 13 year old America's Got Talent audition. Although she has a lot of amazing videos of classic covers between the ages of 8 and 13, her most recent ones are 4 contemporary songs on her Courtney Hadwin VEVO channel when she was 14. She makes them better than the originals IMO. She is now 15 and signed to Syco/Arista records and recording her first album of originals to be released soon. You had said you would be interested to see what she did in the future, so please react at least to Old Town Road on the Courtney Hadwin VEVO channel to witness the next superstar!
Hey brother can you check out a song, I listen to to check my self, its live like you were dying by Tim McGraw, you'll like it,have a blessed one🙏 I hear you ,not ashamed of the gospel!!!

@@wendydotson8891 I have. Awesome song, and it uses his talents well. My personal fave from Smith & Myers was "Sittin' On The Dock of The Bay".
Amen sir! Love how you put emphasis on not being religious but having a relationship with Christ!!!! AMEN!!!
Brent and The band have helped so many with their raw and real songs. They help many to face their demons and rise above

I'd like to request Jim Croce's "I've Got A Name".
Tell it like it is, Ty; I am a Christian as well.
I’ve been busy doing research for my weekly blogs. I miss you live! Lol Jesus Christ The Lord is my savior as well! ✝️
Good one. And yes you have the right to be wrong about Lynyrd Skynyrd 😊 (just kidding) Keep up the good work Brother.🙏❤

Isn't Agave a Greek princess? Did you mean Agape?
