Hi Alistair - Great video and I can hear you fine - I've been watching your videos to learn how to set up Fairbot with strategies for the software I use Racing Stats App which is pretty good at predicting where the winners are coming from - It predicted a 80-1 winner yesterday that drifted to 140-1 and I hesitated thinking better of it and it won :-(
The videos have been a great help :-)

Hi Alistair. Me again. Forgive me for being a pain in the arse.
Am trialing a strategy. For the dogs only. 8 runners, so Au and Nz. Laying 5th or 6th Fav. Simple. So far.. so good. But I would like to combine that with a scenario that backs the fav, but only if its in box 1. And to both strategies happen at the same time. (Start time) And However if I add a rule to do that, the program takes everything into account. Any ideas? Again.. I appreciate all the effort in helping us poor mugs.
    Cheers.
    Jim

This is reasonably straight forward Jim, as long as you are not planning to dutch those selections through automation.
You need a way of establishing if Trap 1 contains the favourite. I'm sure I've done a video on this but for the life of me I cannot find it. I'll do another as a 'How To...' but due to work commitments it won't likely appear until Tuesday at the earliest.

Thank you. Here's a strategy that is simple but really effective that I am playing with. Lay a bet on the 6 or 7th by stall draw. Figuring that they have a longer run and may get bunched in the pack. Conditional on that selection is greater in odds than 15. Next condition is that the favorite is under odds of 3. Just doing horses today. But had 20 wins from 21 bets on Dogs yesterday. Thanks again for all your efforts.

Hi Alistair I got in touch the people who own Fair Bot they have sorted me out , given me files to upload save scratching head. Ironically you initially said contact them , and their response was to send me one of your videos !. Remove this comment if you like , but at least I know you are up to date with me. Thanks Phil

Glad you got a response from them. They are normally quick to reply.
I did find out recently that they are aware of this channel and have been kind enough to send folk this way.
I am happy to assist on occasion but this channel is all about people helping themselves and learning to develop their own methods and strategies. If this channel helps and inspires you do that then it has done its job.

Any idea why this software wouldn’t put in my lay part of a b2l when I have the same strategy assigned to a few different races it worked as normal on the next race but unfortunately cost me a full stake on the first race and I can’t figure out why it would do that ?

Next race backed 4.2 the lay was set at 6 ticks below and stop loss was set for 8 ticks but for some reason decided to trade out at 4.2 for some bizarre reason . Works so well in practice this software , not so good in live mode

From what you are describing it sounds like your stop loss is firing and not necessarily being taken as the market has already moved on or, when it works, you're getting a better price than requested.
I presume you are doing this in running. I never use a stop loss in running as it triggers unnecessarily more often than not due to the volatility in the market.
It may well work better in simulation mode because Fairbot, or any other software for that matter, has to estimate and make assumptions about the market conditions based on the price movements.

@@betyourlife yeah inplay . I’m thinking tinkering the stop loss because leaving automation running while I’m not in could result in a lot of full stakes lost
