Go get a bunch of praying matis eggs, and hatch them around your building. They stay where they hatch for life, and they are vicious insect hunters. They do a very good job keeping bugs away.

Day 88 of posting a cool animal fact: The fact for today is about an animal you may not have heard of called a caecilian! They look like a cross between a worm and a snake and are rather facinating. What is perhaps most interesting about caecilians though is how they feed their young. After giving birth, the mother caecilian will grow a thick nutrient rich outer layer of skin which her babies will then eat! This process is called dermatotrophy and is unique to only caecilians!
Every time you talk about your spiders or bugs in your room. It just explains so much more. The spiders are a good thing if you have mosquitoes. Spiders follow their prey, so you probably have so many bugs because you have so many bugs. If that makes sense
Suggestion for the next run: Skip for 15 lives or something. Also I lived in a house with silverfish. I feel you. It's horrible not being able to relax in your own home and your eyes darting at every shadow.
Always "funny" to see chat telling a streamer how to play their challenge or backseat the game in progress... Also, despite being an absolute stupid level, rebuild phases are kind of a spice to this kind of a challenge. It kinda gets bland always being at 99 lives with no fear in the back of the head losing on regular levels.
I agree a draining-single-jump-level might not be considered the "best content" (though i think the death montage was a good call, not coconut malling it so we can also get a sense of the suffering) - But that point of rebuilding when so low on lives does add that edge to these challanges and I'm glad he didnt skip. (personally, for me any panga content is good content 🙃)
I'm glad you were able to beat the level and to post the video anyway. I'm sure it was painful for your chat to see you failing and as you said, it might not have been the most entertaining thing to follow. Interesting fact, DGR got the exact same precision level just recently in an endless expert run. Within this week if I remember correctly! Kinda wild!!
With or without skips, it's always entertaining to watch you. No idea why people have to be so nitpicky about your own rules - this is supposed to be a fun time (especially for yourself), not some serious "uhm ackshually" moment from viewers. It's not like you'd suddenly start skipping Little Timmy levels (although they deserve to be skipped). But these pixel-perfect tricks aren't fun to play, watch and don't belong in Expert anyway.
Given the clear rate, they actually fit perfectly into expert. Not unlike pick a path levels. Do they suck? Of course. But this is supposed to be "no skip", not "no skip unless the level sucks".
I dunno how much this'll help with your bug problem but a lot of insects HATE mint extract, so you can get some of that and spread it around your bed, doors, windows, etc, and maybe it'll help keep them out.
Turning on skips kinda takes away from what makes the run really interesting to watch. It adds a lot of tension to each level when you could potentially run into a super challenging boss level that could end your run, it just sucks that most of the levels capable of doing that are actually just garbage like the one you got so I get why you don't want to do no skips. Especially when the average quality of every single level is mediocre to bad.
Suggestion for the next season. How about skipping is allowed if you try the level and lose 69% of all your lifes? But the catch is you have to download the level and beat it anyway. This way the life counter is freezed and you have to beat the level to progress and there is still a reasonable amount of life left to keep the challenge alive.
Man, that series of videos in the 90s life count was so short lived, and now its like a brand new run which is not good for my anxiety. So I can only imagine the frustration Panga is feeling there. As for me, I don't care what Panga does with the rules. He's free to play the game the way he wants to at anytime. I understand that there's something to be said about how streamers need to find ways to be entertaining to their fan base's interest, but it always seems silly to be disputing rules over such unofficial challenges like "is it ok to use the program", "is it ok to skip certain levels." None of it matters in the end. I'm just here to see Panga play some levels, lol
I think a good compromise would be that when you get one of those terrible levels, skip it at the cost of some number of lives, say 69. That lets the run not end but causes there to be tension for if you can rebuild before you get another terrible level.
I feel like the rule for precision levels in general should be if they take 20 lives to complete, you are allowed to skip them. It’s not fun watching all those attempts on levels like frame perfect spike drops, and I’m sure as hell they aren’t fun to play. Some precision levels do look really cool and fun, however, so it being a general rule will help with not losing runs to absolute bullshit while allowing Panga to keep going on a precision level should he find it fun and challenging despite the life loss.
Question: Since you could walk on top of those spikes would it have been possible to just walk and inch yourself pixel by pixel until you fell down? Or is the walkway on top of the spikes not aligned with the spike edges?
@@lyberatis yeah, SMM 1 had perfectly lined up hitboxes for the spikes. SMM 2 however treats spike hitboxes as being around 1-2 frames larger. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but imagine stubbing your toe on the baseboard of a wall, except your toe gets stubbed on the air about an inch away from it. That’s what SMM 2 spike hitboxes are like.
How about implementing a rule you are allowed to skip a level you died X amount of times in ? Like that you'd avoid having to implement more and more rules over time depending on the type of levels you get (triple shelljumps, dumb one trick precision levels, levels that should definitely be in super expert, ...). Maybe like you are allowed to skip a level you lost 50 lifes in ? Because expert levels are supposed to remain affordable, especially for someone of your skills.
