We have a 30’ International and did a 3” Lift Kit, an absolute must. Had a 25’ Flying Cloud before that and in my opinion a 3” lift kit on the smaller Airstream is a wait of money.
Probably would have agreed but we’ve had several cases of being very close to scraping. I’d rather have the loft and not risk it at all! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the idea of the door window but with all those windows did the small door window really make the difference? I love your mods and as long as it all adds up to fun then it’s worth getting it done.
Not as big of a difference with light as I probably expected, but being able to see out that window is great. I tend to sit in that side of the dinette and really like being able to turn around and see out. Thanks for the question and watching.
thats awesome we were also looking at Airstream nuts and bolts for some upgrades, how long was the wait to get service ? i think now they are 1 year out. Did you think of own board generator? Thanks for video
Ronnie and Tera were great. They took care of us when walking through what we wanted and what we would be using it for and gave us great ideas for what to do while we were in town. We considered the onboard generator, but we don’t quite need it for our use case. I know they aren’t scheduling until at least July of next year. Our wait was about 3 months, but we also did our upgrade the week of the international rally, so we got lucky. Thanks for watching and hope you’ll follow along for more.
So as a future airstream owner who has done a lot of research (RUclips) I gotta say you nailed this one on options I was considering as wants and MUST HAVES. TAMPA Airstream does install the lift kits I will probably call Ronnie before ordering since I am confident he would do a better Job. New subscriber as well 😎
Good Morning, we are so glad that we were able to be helpful in your journey to find your airstream. I do know that Ronnie is scheduled out pretty far right now (we were lucky to get in within about 3 months). We definitely decided on the lift after coming very close to scraping a few times, but we have heard that the shorter the trailer the less likely that is to happening. What Airstream have you decided on? We loved our Basecamp and now our Flying Cloud (even more so with some of our upgrades). Thanks for commenting and subscribing and have a great Sunday!
Absolutely one of our issues that we created for ourselves. In a few weeks we are doing a “6 months on the road” video to admit all of the errors we made! Thanks for watching and commenting. We have so much fun doing this and love the interaction.
Awesome, we are headed there in February for upgrades similar to you.
They are such great folks. Hope you are as happy with the upgrades as we are! Thanks for watching.

I love the door window!!! How much did that end up costing
We’ll send you a text on the window.
