It is very cute, and I love how happy she is with all the stuff that is for her! I couldn't live in a place with so much stuff around personally, but that is what this is all about, checking out other styles, layouts etc.
Thats exactly what i just wrote, too. So much stuff. No way could i live like this.
Love that it has personality not just a white minimal vibe but I can’t help but wonder why every wall is full /gallery and every corner has something in it. It just feels pretty stuffed. From the bench at the door to her trash can and chairs with the banquet. It feels like you can’t walk around easily without bumping into something.
Because it's a very long room yet still a small space. If it were more square, there'd seem to be more "space".
Such a clever styling of a white box apartment. It has so much personality. The kitchen and dining area are my absolute favorite. A cool mix of trendy and vintage.
Would have like to see the bedroom. Cute space.
Love it I live in NY and I think we can always agree as long as we have a plant or tree to look at we're happy ❤❤❤
This one is a winner 🤩👏🏽👍🏽🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
That kitchen makes me really happy- it gives me comfortable vibes, and I bet the coziness makes any dishes you make taste better! 🥰
The decor is charming and very practical but it does not look like a small space to me.
I love the gold wallpaper
"visual intrigue."......"I sourced this". Good lord, honey, you BOUGHT it.
I kept wondering what the diff between source and buy is the whole video 😅 - I love her taste though
What are you talking about?.. We all don't watch or subscribed to the same channel. Seeing this video for the first time. So happy it's on this channel. Stop with the complaints.
It's a public video. People can complain if they want.
A truly amazing space! Alex is a great talent! So gracious of her to give a tour!
Beautiful space and I love the Smorkin' Labbit!
Very cozy apartment ❤
A rich soul ❤
Cute place 😃 Love her outfit 🖤
Leading units and claiming the space as your own give freedom to be creative.
Stunning!
Lovely large apartment. Love the couch and the long bench in the hallway. ❤
What’s the difference between sourcing something and buying something?
Wow, super unique and well thought out/curated. Although not at all my style, looks beautiful for her!! Reminds me of my old Italian neighbours home, with the colours, artwork, curated pieces. ❤️❤️
..
Wow 🤩 ❤
Liked it 👍🏻
Lovely home💯
Love the entry way and the space.
What's your FAVORITE thing in Alex's apartment? 😎
The couch the bench and the white chair.
Was there a bedroom?
That coffee table!!!
Swag light
The Eames chair.
each their own, its just a lot of stuff looks a bit cluttered specially in a smaller apartment. its like every corner and inch of an aparment is filled with something, its too busy and all over the place. but ofcourse unique for them.
Way too much clutter, it doesnt look like a very relaxing space. Too chaotic. Im disappointed they didnt show the bathroom and bedroom
Where do they sleep? My guess is the sofa.... but the whole time I was like, when are they going to show the bedroom? It is a nice apartment nonetheless.
Right? I could never... Where are the clothes? And sheets?
There is another video of the same apartment on Homeworthy Channel here. They do have a bedroom and the space is not too small being 800sq.ft.
Exotic homes mid century design mixed with modern accouterments blend together nicely.
beautiful!!!
LOVE this!
Charming ❤
❤ i love it
i love her cleon peterson prints in there, we both have that sofa too 😅 similar styles i guess! and i'm looking for a eames chair too
I wish they’d share the square footage of the apartment. Also, I would have liked to see the rest of the place.
A beautiful space
Would love to have links to shop the decor.
Be different from other videos. That is why most of us watch these home tours is to get ideas for our own space. Do it would be nice to have the links to shop the home tour.
Thank u
I love your ecliptic decoration ❤ 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Greeting from Chile.
I’m drunk from taking shots every time she said opted
Adorable lady and she has some cool pieces but Id advise to work on scale and proportion. She also needs to edit. Seems like more of a collector vs a designer.
I understand small space living... I lived in NYC apt for many years but the placement of her stuff (including gallery wall layout) is off. And all shoved against walls. Id create more of a focal point in the living space.
She has some great pieces but space too small and rectangular to display everything.
We all go thru the phases of aquiring then styling and then refining to make it look great together. Im sure she will continue to evolve and just get better and better
I agree. There's just too much stuff. No offense, but don't think I'd ask her advice to decorate my apartment.
Well said. There is too much and it is definitely "off" IMHO.
@g.d.anonymous8235 I think she does have a good eye for objects/art ... and she is going for the eclectic/arty/young cool-girl thing. I think she'll get there with time. Needs to spend more time on cultivating the big picture/gestalt. The "design" aspect is what's missing, but I bet if we check back in a few years, she will have made a lot of progress on that part. Im rooting for her
@@alleyinn1 yeah, maybe. I saw this apartment on I guess Homeworthy or something and it just doesn't work for me. Way too much stuff and poorly styled. That bench in the hall is no bueno, that hall is too narrow for a piece that size and it's too long. It looks forced. And all the other furniture crammed side by side against the walls is unfortunate and that swagged fixture is a hell no for me. I think it's very amateurish. So much stuff that I can't tell if any of it is good. And the bar in the corner? Sorry no. With limited space that piece feels really crammed in there at a weird angle. It's superfluous. And her art is haphazardly hung. Some people have an innate ability for design, some really need to either study it more thoughtfully or seek help. Confidence is great but in this instance it's misplaced. But what do I know 🤷♀️ it's just not working for me. Watch this then watch Schumacher1889's video of Suzanne Kasler's home and you'll see the difference. And she has a lot of collections as well but she knows how to display and edit. Granted she has a very large grand home, but it's not the size it's the craft. Again just my opinion.
@@rmonson5002 LOL, I completely agree about the swag light. A swag is for a porch. As for the gallery walls, The artwork is nice, but the placement is just a huge NO. I have a huge gallery wall behind my TV and it took me a long time to edit and placement. All my pieces are all 4 inches from each other to create a cohesive look and the frames coordinate in color and style. Some walls are left bare so my eyes can rest and another wall has three 60x70 inch canvas abstract art. Those are my statement pieces. In a small apartment, a bar that size is not necessary. To me it either says, " I drink a lot and want to show off. I do think it is a cozy apartment and I too am one that likes to fill her apartment, but it takes so much editing and time to get it just right. I found a huge canvas painting of Christopher Walken in the trash and took it with the intent to paint over it. The more I looked at it the more I fell in love with it. He now rests on my kitchen countertop hiding all the cords.
So unique!
All the spaces shown have a mid-century type vibe. Nice.
I love the coffee table? Is it vintage ? If not, where can I buy it?
I like maximalist style, but this looks like it it is crammed full of thrift-store "finds". Sorry if that sounds snobbish and harsh. You can definitely find good things sometimes at thrift/second-hand stores, but you have to be selective. The apartment looks to me like it was decorated based on one big shopping spree at the Salvation Army. All these thoughts are just my opinion and I am sure many will disagree. Maybe I should have just said: "Not my taste" and stopped there. Probably so.
A lot of her stuff especially the furniture and artwork is actually fairly expensive. A Mario Bellini sofa costs over $4000 and that Eames lounge assuming it's real Herman Miller would be even more.
Cute place but where is that belt from 😍😍
Honestly glad she likes it, but nope. Seems very cliche.
I think this is a lovely apartment, but my issue is with the Channel. We already saw this home tour on another very well known, reputable home tour channel a little over a month ago. There are literally thousands of apartments in NYC alone... can we not keep repeating apartments that have already been shown!? A little research would have found her home tour has been done before so soon. It feels like channels are competing with the exact same material. I think it's great when content creators can showcase their homes, but as consumers, can we not have ORIGINAL content fed to us?! @listed
My sentiments exactly! As I took the tour I kept thinking......"Ive (recently) seen this content"....... Thanks for the insight.
I think the content creators/ designers often reach out to the channels and not the other way around. It depends also on the availability of the owner/renter to show their homes, I think.
There will be a lot of other people who don’t follow the exact same channels you do, so will be seeing this apartment for the first time. Just skip it.
I agree with Josephine bc there are a lot of people who aren’t following listed but are following the other channels. Also, whoever is the owner of the home can submit a tour vid to multiple channels. Listed or other channels doesn’t have anything to do with that. The goal is to try to get it shown to different audiences around. I totally understand. Doesn’t have anything to do with competition
@@josephinebrevig8748. I agree with you. This is my first time seeing this tour. If folks don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. Geez! Their griping serves no one, and nothing, but their own ego. It’s not a crime to circulate content, as long as you have permission.
👍❤
Need info on that coffee table!
Does anyone know where her belt is from?
Literally every apartment looks feistier on this channel than what actually is. 😳
Umm, what does that even mean?
Uh?
Even though each item seems very trendy and generic, she managed somehow to create an unique space!🎉
I need to know where do I get that belt?!!
I feel like using the word sourced when it comes to buying things from stores or websites anyone uses doesn't feel like the right usage? I think it's appropriate for a deep dive find or something. I don't know. Am I wrong on that?
Definitely feel like sourced is a tricky word, but agreed that it's better used when it's more of a "rare find" than buying from a store
Where´s the bed?
Exactly is there one?
she has a bedroom, it just isn't shown here for some reason. there is another tour of her apartment on youtube on the homeworthy channel.
@@AthalieM Thanx!
Century modern and maximalis.
Common people: I bought
Designers and pseudo designers: I sourced which to me sounds pretentious.
"My boyfriend and I's"?????? What happened to "my" and "mine?" This isn't even English!!!!
Hahaha! That's 'murica fur ya!
In front of a honking huge AC unit 😂🤣
Not my design style.
😮
Way too much stuff in such a tiny apartment....looks crowded. I feel like I have to be very careful if I were to walk around in such a place.
Ugh, so much stuff.
Hey, more is more. I like maximalism and it's ok, don't judge.
@@OscarANM I like maximalism too, but it has to be well done. I agree more is more, but you need to know how to style it, in my opinion this home is not well styled at all.
I think it’s her style and she loves it🤷🏽♀️
@@OscarANM This is a public channel. People can judge if they want.
@OscarANM LOL You're judging me !
Nice, but I think it's too busy. Sometimes less is more.
does everyone fancy themselves a designer? She has some good finds but also not original and like a follower. Its like lets find every trendy thing hence the sofa which was great until EVERY influencer on RUclips etc decided to buy one.
Agreed. And yes, everyone does fancy themselves a designer. And yet...sadly...they are not.
A little to full for me
Where do you sleep?
Ehm... The bedroom?? The bathroom?? 🤷🏻♀️
No bedroom??? bathroom???
I would never date a man that said no pink! Would it be okay for a woman to say no blue or anything traditionally masculine? My front door is fuchsia and my boyfriend doesn't mind a hoot, in fact he helped me paint it.
Who said anything about it being a masculine or feminine thing? It could be that he doesn’t like the color and think it’s tacky. I generally agree that pink isn’t the vibe for a room, but I have pink shirts and pink pants. People are allowed to have preferences. Relax.
@@DontaeDakara I know, right! What's up with her, lol. I am woman but that doesn't make me automatically love the color pink, in fact I would hate to have it all over my house because it looks so juvenile to me. I've also said no to blue before, and somehow my boyfriend didn't go gung-ho on me for a stupid color preference lol.
cluttered over the top,,
incredible that two persons live in such a small space. no offend ... its is a cosey flat. this must be the new york vibe. Where do you sleep?
No bedroom ???
That is *NOT* a genuine Eames Louge Chair and ottoman. It's a MCM knock-off.
😅😮😅. 😮
Too cluttered
Honestly I don’t even think it’s that cute . “ blah blah blah small space organizations solutions “ lol let’s change the record ?????!!!
I know it’s a type of style , but it’s sooo heavy , looks cheap and cluttered for me .
@CarolinaCCarolina Facts… & the skateboards on the wall - POSER!! very pretentious
too mach
Is it just me, or do a lot of these people in NYC that are featured on these tours all work from home?
Too many tables, too many chairs and too many little nick nacks.
Overdone? 🤪
