Thanks for this video. I was using crest gum care mouth wash and main ingredient is cetylpridium chloride. I used almost the whole bottle and noticed brown staining between my teeth and yellowing teeth. I was little sad because just had a teeth cleaning a two months ago and my teeth looked way better. I won't be using mouth wash again. I don't drink coffee tea or soda. Just mostly water. So I knew those aren't culprits. Glad to know more about ingredients in mouth washes. I had no idea they could cause staining.
Just a question as I'm in the same boat.. wondering if I get cleaning done few months later as scheduled, it gets harder to get the stain off? Wouldn't mind waiting a bit as cleaning is expensive... And I hope the stain went away completely with cleaning for you
O how helpful this video is, No wonder my teeth have been loosing its glow because of Listerine!! wow! I asked my wife if she thought these mouth washes can be staining agents, she said they can't be, but now I know. Thanks brother....

brown stains went away after I stopped using this and got cleaning from dentist.
Thanks a lot. I've been using Listerine for sometime and I've noticed my teeth going yellowish. Good thing I discovered it early.

Listerine mouthwash made some stains on my teeth. I had to stop using Listerine mouthwash.
